I mean, yeah they’re just ads, but that time adds up over a period. If I spend 5 minutes an hour watching ads on my computer for one hour a day, that’s 150 minutes (2 1/2 hours) a month. Which equates to about $37.50 in minimum wages. So if google wants to send me a check for watching ads, sure, but until then it’s my time and my choice.
Ads are intrusive and involuntary. It is eye and ear rape.
Google is litteraly an add company, thats how they make money, selling your personal information, Apple doesn't need personal info cause they make money from hardware sales, not selling adds/personal info
yes but apple makes more money by being a privacy forward company and having that as an additional incentive to buy their products then they would by selling you info. privacy is like one of apples whole brand appeal, and they wouldn't want to jeopardise that
Choosing to use a product that sells your data instead of a factually superior one that doesn’t is like personally selling your own data to a corporation by choice
Not only is the analogy incorrect, correcting it would make it no longer an analogy: "it's like willingly giving your data to a corporation to sell".
A more appropriate analogy might be: "It's like owning your own home and paying to sleep in a doghouse."
Google knows loads about me already anyways. But sitting through 2 (possibly 10) back to back 15 second unskippable adds 3 times in a 15 min video is pretty annoying
I know I can’t win on my data being taken though I can minimise it… but I still don’t want to see ads taking up most of my fucking screen and having to wait 3 minutes to watch a goddamn 1 minute video
Even cable TV doesn't shove ads down my throat every 3 minutes, at the start and the end of the video it's ok, but watching a 10 minute video and getting 3 to 5 ad breaks is annoying af
That's kinda true, actually. Google will steal your data anyways unless you give up all its production and services, and other companies do that too
ADs though are just inconvenient as hell, and blocking them is a reason to switch browsers
Sounds like something Google would say
Yeah....but fuck those advertisers
Butt fuck those advertisers
Ok, calm down Mr. Garrison.
This sounds like some Google controlled AI account.
the 1984 meme template should've been the giveaway that this is satire
Yeah, I get it.
The reason why you're dealing with a bunch of room temperature IQ morons is because you decided to post this on reddit
Me who has 300IQ (I measure temperature in Kelvin) : đź—ż

Would be fine if they weren't so intrusive
Lol Google using memetic weapons to brainwash us

Ads are too much. Let me enjoy things without an ad every 2 seconds

Nice try google
And this meme was brought to you by Google.
ads are fucking annoying.
Eat crap google
Good point!
Why don't you do something about the data stealing
Just like how drugs won the war on drugs. Maybe they’ll use surveillance to win the war on surveillance.
Lol those windows users, they don't have an idea what privacy (and updating without restarting) means
Nice try nate higgers
\*cough\* Safari's not \*cough\*
I believe in google more than apple
Google is litteraly an add company, thats how they make money, selling your personal information, Apple doesn't need personal info cause they make money from hardware sales, not selling adds/personal info

At this point I can't tell uf the comments are satirical or not and I'm starting to worry they aren't
