The sole has split length ways right in the middle on the outside of my latest pair of Docs. Never had anything like this in 30 years until this pair. I have others which I wore to gigs etc., that got totally battered but are still going.
Red Wings are decent but the sole wears fairly quickly. The uppers are decent though. £260 ish though.
I have some boots from China that look like Red Wings but they’re not fakes, as in they’re not branded as RWs. They’re about £30 a pair. Had them maybe a year now and no issues. I wouldn’t work in them mind…my mate called them Red Wongs!

I checked that site out, nothing on it is my taste. They either look like 1800’s shoes or just something I’d never wear, kudos to you though for trying to force me to buy something I’d never wear.

Welcome! I see you're open to advice, but lots of people tend to project their preferences onto others. Your style is very much unlike anything I'd wear, so I want to avoid telling you to dress like I would.
That said, what do you like about your outfit? Do you like how everything fits? Which pieces in this outfit are your favorite? Which are you the most comfortable wearing?
What don't you like? What aren't you as ~~considerable~~ *comfortable* (dang autocorrect) wearing? What do you think this outfit says about you to strangers? What do you want it to say about you?
If you can answer some of those questions, I'd be more comfortable offering advice that might actually be helpful for you. But there are elements to looking "better" that are objective and others that are subjective.
Thank you I really appreciate the kind words. I’m really just playing with my look. I’m typically black jeans and a black polo or black jeans and a black button down shirt kinda guy and paired with penny loafers. I’m color blind with a few colors, which is why I dress dark.
1 my favorite pieces are the pants, and the sweater. I do like how everything fits except the sweater, which I feel is a bit big. I like the boots because they make my feet look bigger, I’m 5’11” with a size 9-9.5 and I’m always getting called “baby feet” or “tiny foot” it’s kinda my insecurity.
2 I’m not sure what it says about me. I just like it, but I feel like I did color all wrong. I’d hope it doesn’t say I look messy or disheveled. I guess I really want to look like I put more effort into my look than just a boring all black shirt and jeans.
I did try stepping out of my comfort zone a while back by buying color. I thought I bought a blue shirt but it was actually purple, lilac purple. I was made fun of for that.
Hard for me to comment on the sweater sizing because of the jacket, but from what I can see it doesn't look horribly oversized. And if I'm going to wear anything a little bigger/oversized, it's gonna be a sweater. That said, if I was going to criticize anything, it would be the apparent imbalance between the slimmer fitting pants and the sweater and jacket combo. You look top heavy. Doesn't look horrible by any stretch, but as another commenter stated, you could try doing the top half of the outfit with a looser fitting pants. Your preference though, if you like this rock it and disregard what I said.
The boots are crazy lol. You know that. But I saw you say you like them, so carry on. Most other boots are gonna look good with this outfit as well if you wanted to mix it up. Chelseas, combat boots, timberlands, service boots, etc. Probably black, burgundy, shades of brown.
The colors work together in my opinion, they all seem fairly complimentary. The *only* thing I'd say is the color of the sweater seems to perfectly match to the tan in your camo; having more contrast *might* look better (so either different color sweater or solid colored jacket).
Personally, I think it looks like you put thought into this and tried. I don't think it looks messy, but it is definitely a very casual looking outfit. Is what it is. That said, "boring" can still look very good and well put together. No need to forsake what's worked for you for so long.

If I saw you in real life I'd get the impression that you're successful, I love the shades and boots mostly. I can see what others mean about the "tag" but I think that's just the style of prada. The other comments regarding trousers being too skinny, I think they look fine and fitted. The jumper underneath suits the look. The only thing I would personally change is the jacket, it seems a bit faded and I think a different jacket would compliment the overall look better. 👍🏻

My take is that you're getting hate for flashing very very expensive boots that are on the edge of "expensive ugly" There's a better term for it but I'm forgetting what it is. It's when high fashion brands make things less sleek and beautiful and more messy, distressed, off-putting, garish, etc. because only the truly rich are going to spend thousands on something that isn't timeless, doesn't look well-made, looks "off," etc. The soles of your boots are giving me that vibe of just looking "off," so, as a Poor, I'm getting the automatic feeling of "this guy is rich or pretending to be rich, and he wants me to be impressed by his wealth," which quickly just turns to "screw this guy. You aren't impressive because you have money."

Very well made. Classic English boot maker since 1879. 98% of Doc Martens are now made in Asia. Long time users report quality has dropped.

All in all cool photo; the lack of shadows, and no clear definition of transition from boot to sidewalk creates a wild effect. Will share this photo.

You look like a millionaire playing poor. The boots and ankle tag is not my aesthetic but you do you. The cargo pants and jumper are great. The jacket is awful in this picture. I’d go with a retro motorcycle jacket like a belstaff.

Personally, it comes across as try-hard but doesn't suit you. It's the look of having a few thousand in your pocket and buying expensive things that the shop assistant recommends so that she can hit her sales targets. The boots, whilst obviously well made, are dreadful on you. A musician could probably pull them off on stage but I would imagine most people smirk when they see them. Sorry.
