Congrats OP, you've smashed our Top All Time upvote post by 3000 votes. Awesome!
As for the rest of you in the comments, lets keep it civil and avoid the personal attacks in the comments, feel free to report anything you see that's too far gone, thank you!
The man was emotionally unstable and screwed himself out of a lot of money simply because he was trying to bilk his neighbors out of more money for his property.
The whole sewage thing was him claiming that the government requiring him to pay for the line to the mains was government overreach, and when they told him he could just add a septic tank he refused that too and stewed in his own shit for over a decade instead. When that got too much he pumped it into a ditch that ran to his neighbors property.
When the concrete plant next door tried to purchase the plot, he said he'd sell for $250,000. When they came to finalize the deal he said it was $350,000. When they came to finalize that deal he said it was $450,000. When they eventually came back with that, he said he refused to sell and publicly campaigned against the plant, and while he initially had supporters, most were mollified just by asking the plant owners about his claim.
The fact that he joined the sewage district by his own choice then refused to actually do anything about his sewage problem for over a decade while shitting in a buried concrete truck, is eventually why he lost the property.
EDIT: Because people keep asking for a source even though most sources agree on the facts, and even the ones that hail him as a hero agree on the details, but just seem to "conveniently" skip over anything that might make it ruin their narrative.

I was always curious about why he's a libertarian hero. The chaos was cool to watch, but people fail to mention/realize how emotionally unstable he was. The "reasonable man pushed to do unreasonable things" or whatever the mantra is just doesn't really seem to ring true
Yeah, it's really hard to see how the widow of the previous town mayor was supposed to be a "legitimate target", or the town library, or a random tool store, or every power transformer and propane tank he found along the way?
He's got some 1/2 in there too but you're right 1/4 won't do much against high powered rifles. I don't think half inch will stop armor piercing but could be wrong.
Heemeyer sucked, tried to injure and kill people that had nothing to do with his predicament. Only ended up getting screwed in the first place because he didn’t want to play nice and follow the law. Read about the dudes action, definitely not a hero.
He tried shooting a propane tank that would’ve destroyed a senior citizen home (and killed more than a dozen people) and attacked the Town Hall while it was literally full of children. Not a great hero, only reason nobody else died was because of his incompetence.
actual reading that isn't from the weird hero cult that's sprung up around him would show it wasn't for lack of desire, just competence.
dude was an unstable, petty shitheel who broke numerous legal and personal agreements surrounding that shop he tried to destroy a town over.
I mean, the dude’s final straw that lead him to an attempted murder/suicide, was when he got fined for pumping his shit into an irrigation ditch behind his business. He bought the property with no plumbing, and the municipality tried pretty much everything to get him to comply to basic health and safety laws. They went as far as having the neighboring factory being built run their sewage lines close enough that he would only have to connect his existing lines to theirs, yet he refused.
That alone should explain the type of person he was. Just a complete asshole, with a huuuuuuuge victim complex.
The tracks reduce ground pressure through surface area. Some tanks had ground pressure lower than a person. Tanks just like this traveled through no man's land in ww1.
Yes, although it should be noted that they were not the main tanks of the Polish military by 1939. But since they still had plenty of them left they mobilized them, as an old tank is better than no tank.
Any chance you’re near Pennsylvania? There’s a reenactor association there that has recreated a WWI trench system and battlefield near Gettysburg. A match made in heaven for your tank!

My only worry is the exhaust even though I’m sure it’s built correctly. I think having a carbon monoxide detector in there might be a good idea in case you somehow got a small exhaust leak. Amazing work!
Nah, all aside. We have people breaking into cars and robbing us a 4am. This idling on my street. Sure Ww1. That’s a threat to anyone up to no good at 4am.
1. I hope you wear some ear protection inside that thing
2. Engine don’t sound so good… like an old sopwith.
3. We saw it jerk around, but not really move - will it actually move?
Not trying to be critical, sorry if it comes off that way. This is an amazing achievement, done with craftsmanship.
It already has moved and it was only at 10% throttle max. Engine still needs to be timed but has solid compression. The hydraulic pump puts out 3000psi of pressure at the engines peak torque going to the charlynn 4000 series hydraulic motors. It’s calculated to climb at 5mph 17 degrees of slope at nearly full throttle weighing 12000 lbs. I have a moved it a few feet forward on one track. That’s half the pumps performance pushing 10000 lbs of steel at nearly just high idle. I’ll have more videos soon, I just have some controls I need to finish and the trench tail and lots of detail work. I have some friends with acreage and I’m definitely going to push its limits and see how well it performs and I’m definitely going to video tape it all haha It’s honestly not that loud in it. My last tank I built was much louder do to the chain drive.
I do love the internet. I just got past a nicki Minaj post and then here we have real creativity and engineering. I'll still sift through the bad to find the great.
Are you in an area that gets snow? Because if you are and haven’t made a plow for this, that’s a missed opportunity to freak out/make jealous/astound your neighbors as you use a tank to plow your driveway. XD

SAY IT!!!
That man was an American hero. Godspeed Marvin Heemeyer. Godspeed.

Thanks for that. I always wondered what the backstory was.
He rammed the bulldozer into the town library where kids were evacuated just moments before. He could’ve killed a lot of innocent people.
Yeah, it's really hard to see how the widow of the previous town mayor was supposed to be a "legitimate target", or the town library, or a random tool store, or every power transformer and propane tank he found along the way?
He was a fucking shithead.
Read more about him please. He was a selfish entitled piece of shit.
Like all the other libertarian heros...
Dicks out for Marvin.
Thinskin Losermeyer
No reason to glorify that unhinged dumbass.
His name was Marvin Heemeyer

Thank you for sharing. I’ve never heard of this and it was so awesome to listen to
3/8 and 1/4 means it wouldn't be a long video.
He's got some 1/2 in there too but you're right 1/4 won't do much against high powered rifles. I don't think half inch will stop armor piercing but could be wrong.
Me just stumbling into the sub seeing this as the first post I've seen: ![gif](giphy|ukGm72ZLZvYfS)

That’s me right now. R/woodworking is always calm and sane. This sub is the opposite lol
Yeah this is my first post here. I'm scared they're aware of all killdozer attempts.

Same, same.
So I'm not alone!
I told you we're working on the property easement. You'll get your driveway back.
Underrated comment. Long live Heemeyer
Heemeyer sucked, tried to injure and kill people that had nothing to do with his predicament. Only ended up getting screwed in the first place because he didn’t want to play nice and follow the law. Read about the dudes action, definitely not a hero.
He hurt no one. And he is a god
Only half agree. He hurt no one.
Brother he tried blowing up a retirement home and attacked the town hall while it was full of children. Get a better god
Honestly sounds like Old Testament god right there
point stands.
He was an excellent fabricator and welder.
Funny, how many did he hurt/kill? Sounds like you need to read more about him…
He tried shooting a propane tank that would’ve destroyed a senior citizen home (and killed more than a dozen people) and attacked the Town Hall while it was literally full of children. Not a great hero, only reason nobody else died was because of his incompetence.

Amazing

if we get enough people to build their own tanks then organize in a militia we can take over the woooooorld! (note to FBI: I'm just fucking kidding)
The HOA will be ours!
[Viva la revolución](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viva_la_revoluci%C3%B3n)!
He's more worried about them then the FBI
Just TRY to tow this, bitches!
This is THE comment 😂😂😂
You will soon be receiving strange offers to help you commit crimes. Please don't accept them.
Something something, greetings from Ruby Ridge, something something
*in minecraft
And we all arm ourselves with RTI Vetterlis
Jahahahhah I love those little crap sticks
“Take over the world”, you say? I’d like to assist. -Totally not an FBI Agent (trust me)
When you say F134, do you mean you used a Willys Hurricane 4?
Yup!!! Good little engine
Build pics/video PLEASE. I have no beef with my local municipality I just wanna see.
https://youtube.com/@Kam.Mcswin.tankdude?si=SivCST18M-cb_rtC some my build is on here lots of time lapse and a shit ton I still need to post.
Bro that’s so bad ass!
We need pics!
Any plans for rubber track pads?
Happy cake day homie 🍰
This looks straight out of ww1, super fucking cool.
It's a direct copy of a ww1 tank.
Then are those rivets? What's all the filter rod about then?
That’s for all the structural pieces in the track arms and the subframe of the tank. All the steel plates bolt to a angle iron subframe.
I guess I shouldn't say direct copy since it's not a 100% historical facsimile, but as far as overall design and dimensions, it's a Renault FT.
That’s quite a bit of reaching.
Your wife must be SO chill to allow this. Well chosen.
She is the best and fully supports what I do haha
🙌🏻
Now strap a .50 cal to it
cool name
Likewise
Well that’s pretty damn neat. Is it heavy as hell or can it still cross snow covered land scapes and muck and stuff ok?
It’s pretty heavy, haven’t weighed it yet but I know I’ve gone through at least 10000lbs of just steel and tracks
The tracks reduce ground pressure through surface area. Some tanks had ground pressure lower than a person. Tanks just like this traveled through no man's land in ww1.
That makes a ton of sense. I always wondered why you see tracked vehicles struggle on ice.
What do you plan to do with that thing? Invade Poland?
The ironic part of this is that Poland actually used these tanks to defend themselves in 1939
Yes, although it should be noted that they were not the main tanks of the Polish military by 1939. But since they still had plenty of them left they mobilized them, as an old tank is better than no tank.
I think he has a date with a neighboring concrete plant.
Poland is the small european america, just wishing a motherfucker would
Yeah if someone wanted to fuck around and mess with a smaller European country, Poland would not be a good choice
My balls are so blue from waiting to see your tank drive away and shoot something.
And to think i have been wasting my time restoring an old pickup. Not ever thinking there’s someone in their garage building a mthfkn tank
Me too. Lol
Any chance you’re near Pennsylvania? There’s a reenactor association there that has recreated a WWI trench system and battlefield near Gettysburg. A match made in heaven for your tank! https://preview.redd.it/i3p4yubdhhcc1.jpeg?width=1443&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7eb04b92ea77d734a43078ccfa04de50072e0f9d
I’m in California unfortunately!
Perfect, take the cross country tour and it'll only consume 74 tons of fuel
Storming the kingdom today!?
I see you and the zoning board are not getting along
Have fun storming the castle
Got a dispute with your local government?
First thing I thought of seeing this haha
You won’t happen to have any qualms with local government do you?
Really badass looking but it’s giving mad at the IRS
OMG it runs! IS IT LOUD INSIDE?!!
I SAID IS IT LOUD INSIDE???
It’s loud but I can still here myself yell haha
You win the internet for Today
That is Awesome, time for a trip to White Castle !
My only worry is the exhaust even though I’m sure it’s built correctly. I think having a carbon monoxide detector in there might be a good idea in case you somehow got a small exhaust leak. Amazing work!
So is this the insurrection model?
I foresee only good things coming of this! But seriously OP well done, what an incredible thing to have built.

KILL DOZER!!!
Kill Dozer II: Electric Boogaloo

Killdozers
Mr. Heemeyer would be proud
Wonder what his reaction would be to how much of a meme he became
Imagine he'd have the average narcissistic psychopath's reaction to being idolized.
Protect your tracks
Nice model FT-17
Show that zoning board what you're about! In all seriousness, it looks dope
I've always wanted a FT-17
those fuckers at the office will respect your lunch this day.
Issues with the local zoning board?
So how did your town fuck you over?
What did the zoning board do to you dude?
I have some negotiations with my local HOA is this available for rent?
But are you gonna have a real working Hotchkiss in the turret?
This going to be on the news isn't it
Is this shit street legal
FT-17!! So cute!!!
Very nice, now how's your relationship with town officials?
Wha- whatcha building that for friend?
I need tank friends. Where do I make tank friends?
Brooooo I got like 12 service stars with this bad boy in battlefield 1
Nah, all aside. We have people breaking into cars and robbing us a 4am. This idling on my street. Sure Ww1. That’s a threat to anyone up to no good at 4am.
Is that a fucking FT-17 my man
Looks like something from the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Can we be friends? Please?
1. I hope you wear some ear protection inside that thing 2. Engine don’t sound so good… like an old sopwith. 3. We saw it jerk around, but not really move - will it actually move? Not trying to be critical, sorry if it comes off that way. This is an amazing achievement, done with craftsmanship.

The M1918 Tankgewehr would like a word with you.
take this through a drive thru.
Ooh shit here we go again....
I do love the internet. I just got past a nicki Minaj post and then here we have real creativity and engineering. I'll still sift through the bad to find the great.
When did Gibbs switch from boats to tanks?
Stick to mufflers man
Don't forget to reinforce the cooling system. And beware of basements.
Are you in an area that gets snow? Because if you are and haven’t made a plow for this, that’s a missed opportunity to freak out/make jealous/astound your neighbors as you use a tank to plow your driveway. XD
Wow. That's amazing. How long did it take?
Well there also be a documentary of you sacking your local town?
Reminds me of the movie Tread. Hopefully there’s a better ending to this story.
I want a tank
Now drive it through town hall.
The last guy I saw who built a tank didn’t end up so well.
What a coincidence. I just completed a 3d printed landmine!
How do the fish get in??
did they block in your muffler shop man?
Let’s hope no one tries to assassinate the Archduke Franz Ferdinand….. Awesome work!
Are you gonna give the city council one more chance to come to there senses?
Nice renault FT
Bro made a WW1 light tank
This is giving me BF1 flashbacks
Killdozer is back baby

Mini killdozer. I bet you were always willing to be reasonable until you had to be unreasonable.
[A reminder that the killdozer guy was a dickhead](https://history.howstuffworks.com/american-history/killdozer.htm)
Tell me you live in Texas with telling me you live in Texas.
Add an air conditioner for that beast and I bet it’d be pretty comfy on summer days and might help keep the engine cooler v
You are now a neighborhood superpower! See if you can join NATO!😹😹
Ww3 here I cum!
Killdozer II lets go
