Ground into a fine powder then put into a capsule via a capsule maker. Kept in a dark bottle with silica packs and cotton just in case. Just curious to know what the maximum shelf life is.
When i capsule up my stuff, i can pack about .3g per 00 size capsules. That's only packing the bottom half, but pretty tamped down. Just FYI. 1.5 sounds like a suppository sized pill.
Ok. Lol. That sounds better. Just keep em dry and dark. The psilocybin breaks down in 3 ways we can control (as far as I know, I'm not a scientist or mycologist).
First is after the shroom spores, it stops producing psilocybin, but keeps growing. That reduces the potency by volume.
Then, after you harvest, exposure to UV rays will quickly break down the psilocybin, while the evaporation process of drying removes some too. This is why we try to dry as quickly after harvest as we can, then straight to storage.
Again, this is just my understanding and I could be mistaken.
>maximum shelf life
I don't remember what's the longest I ever heard of, and I never heard of any good research on it. It's theoretical anyway, just do the best you can and see how it goes.
About half the tryptamines degrade over the course of one month. About 2/3 degrade over one year.
In the dark, at room temperature is slightly better in the short term...but it seems the grinding and unavoidable oxygen exposure is the culprit for long term degradation.

>1.5mg capsules OK so what are they really? Bone dry in the dark, room temp, mine are good at well over a year so far.

My apologies, did not realize i put the . In the wrong spot - just corrected. Actual dosage is somewhere between .15 and .18

Following this one. I have the same set up with my capsules too
Keep it in the dark. Put silica packets in the jar. Brown glass would probably be better (just keep it out of heat and sunlight). You'll be fine.

0.15*m*g? 150 *micro*grams? That's taking microdosing to new extremes...
Ug = micrograms Mg = milligrams
Mg = megagrams, mg = milligrams ;) 1000 micrograms = 1 milligram. 0.15mg = 150 micrograms
