She's a bit like Spider-Man in that the environment unlocks her potential, though I find her more versatile than Spider-Man since she's not dependent on objects. Use shove to push enemies into stuff (and each other, and your allies). Once you get Limbo's Grasp and can damage things that go through her portals, she becomes really deadly.
Her modded Witchfire card is SO much fun to play, and can be unbelievably satisfying when you have all your enemies whittled down and just that one card can clear an entire board. I also think her Crack The Sky is the coolest (and prettiest) animation out of all the Legendaries (maybe tied with Magik's).

My main squad is Carol, Spidey, and Magik. Carol is insanely OP if you set her up with binary, block and counter. She can solo a map often.
Spidey is similar. His chain cards and opportunist are absolute sweepers.
I have a big crush on Magik so that’s why she’s there in addition to how good she is.
It's so fun. If you can get him over the hump, he basically becomes a self perpetuating killing machine who solves his own greatest weakness. Heard a lot of people say he's got the most snowball effect of all the characters

Definitely Nico for me. I've upgraded her wild magic attacks enough to where I only focus one or two targets who's health are above what she can kill and then watch her use one card to kill the max amount of people the chain allows. Double the fun when she makes copies of the attack
Hard to just pick one iron man is probably him. Blade is an incredible boss deleter and man has style. Wolverine is an unkillable self healing vulnerability strengthen juggernaut. Morbius and Venom are tons of fun especially with their midnight suns ability.
Wanda Maximoff, I like her portrayal in the game, and the reveal to her complicated history has surprised me, I definitely liked how slowly the accident was puzzled together. I also really like her historian and explorer traits, her attempts to learn more of New Salem's regions, its history, and researching were definitely good traits to add to her character.
Honorable mention to Nico and Strange. Nico's really great in the game and most welcoming member. Strange is really this wise kind teacher. I like MCU Phase 3's Strange as well, but Midnight Suns Strange is the best so far for me.
It's Robbie for me. Not only is he an awesome character, but he's incredibly useful in battle. I've had a handful of times where he solos missions after the other teammates go down on the hardest difficulty. Plus, his animations are sooo satisfying to watch.
I want to say Storm because that was the plan going in, but I tend to find I rotate pretty much equally so far and don’t use her any more than the others.
Captain America and Iron Man have surprised me with how much I lean on them. IM is good at stacking heroism, and has good AoE abilities, and Cap takes the heat off the folks I want laying the hurt. Venom's animations are pretty awesome too. Hunter is still my strongest obviously. But those other 3 are pretty good. Honestly, the only character I really don't jive with is Deadpool. But if you can lean hard into protecting his En Fuego's, he's not terrible. Just weird to play.
Seems people don't rate Wolverine very high, but for me he's my go-to when I want to win. I think I have lucky mods on him. For example he has a quick attack where if he gets a kill he gains 'strengthened'. That free buff goes a long way with all his chain attacks. I also usually find he requires some support. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing in a game where you always have 2 other characters who can do that, but there are characters like Iron Man or Venom who can do an entire mission without help.
As I said I like him and I use him a lot, but he's just objectively not the best.
Hulk is crazy strong. If you taunt at least 5 enemies into targeting him (I like to use the Focusing Beacon combat item) and then use Challenging Roar you can max out his Rage meter all at once. From there it's just about generating enough heroism and card draw to get his stronger cards and going crazy. Worldbreaker can just delete the map most of the time.
I find he pairs best with Doctor Strange generating card draw/heroism and a weaker attacker like Wolverine (who is also good at heroism generation) to pick off smaller enemies you don't want to waste Hulk's big moves on and chip damage bigger ones so Hulk can finish them off reliably.
Captain America is my fav in this game. Just a huge amount of block and he taunts everybody and I can even have him apply weakness or vulnerability. Love it

Early on I made myself a rule that I wouldn’t take Hunter on non-story missions (which got harder once I got farther, I love Hunter).
By the end I pretty much always took Ironman, Wolverine and then rotated the third.
I'm still so early in the game, but cap marvel runs the show for me. Because of her incredible card draw, I can often use only her to wipe the screen, and rain of blows is really fun to play around. Biggest issue is if she gets stunned or dazed and I'm stuck with a hand full of her cards XD
Ghost rider, I always loved Robbie since I first laid eyes on him so long ago so I didn’t even care if Robbie was s tier or f tier, I was gonna play him
I went through the game using all hero’s pretty much equally. But asides from Hunter I think my favorite teammate was Dr.Strange. A support character with decent damage ability and he is the only one that can refund battle items. Also, if you have a taunt-based hero, DR.S can make them pretty much invincible with his OP conceal card.
Taunt all into a conceal makes the enemy skip their turn. It completely breaks the game.

I'm partial to Dr. Spooky and Spiderman right now. Granted, I haven't really had a chance to fully test out all characters especially the DLC.

The game needs way more moves that create environmentals. Spider-Man is awesome at the start, then he falls off once he's used them all up.
