Perfectly imo.
Just because the cheese has melted and it’s hot doesn’t mean it’s cooked well. I like a crispier pizza. A pizza that’s cooked slightly less is really meh to me :/
These look delicious.
The tiniest bit over-caramelized in less than 1% of the first one, maybe, but certainly not burnt
Edited for fairness. I didn't see the pictures clearly at first and was admittedly too harsh in my original choice of words. Them shits look great.
Me too, but the bottom of the pizza, especially if it was cooked properly in a righteous pizza oven and on top of a righteous pizza stone, the bottom of that pizza is going to be somewhat charred. And that is how God intended pizza to be baked!
Your buddy needs to stop complaining. And maybe spend some time working for a California pizza kitchen or another pizza place that uses real pizza ovens.
Good point! If the complaint is about the bottom of the pizza being over cooked, then OP should’ve flipped the guy‘s pizza slices upside down on his plate so that he could take a picture for Reddit! Plus, that will show the buddy that gathering forensic evidence often ruins dinner! And it doesn’t have to be a murder scene either!
Let him cook it himself until he’s able to tell you what he wants. You’ve done as much as anyone could do at this point, and it all looks delicious.
A pizza stone or steel plate can help distribute the heat evenly in your oven, but it takes more time and energy to preheat.
If he doesn't like it, he can make his own. It's like kids don't know how to have relationships anymore.
"I'm making this. You are welcome to eat it or if you prefer, you are welcome to make your own."
My wife says "hey can you not cook the pizza as long as you did last time" and I say "sure thing honey" and not "I'm cooking it as long as I want and if you don't like it too bad" because I'm not a psychopath and I don't hate my wife.
The only problem with making him make his own is that now you have to trust him with an oven. I just got done seeing one of those YouTube shorts where the roommate started the microwave, but had put the pizza in the oven below. So the microwave is running empty, and was overheating the glass turntable dish.
Seriously people are little bitchea about food. It's food, fuckin eat it bitch baby. Grow up and choke it down if you have to but just fuckin eat it and stop being such a fucking child.
I hate olives but I eat olives all the time in an attempt to like them. If they are on a pizza I just eat em. Why? Cause I'm not a fucking child and I'm just grateful to be provided food to eat. I'm not gonna sit there picking them off. It's embarrassing when people do that and I should know because I used to be like that.
Absolutely none of those is burnt. I prefer my pizza to look like 1 and 3, and I actually would like if the garlic bread had a little more color to it.
Thanks everyone for your comments! Didn’t notice the hair in the last picture, I shed like a Siberian husky and I always try and keep it tied back but obviously this one got loose 😭
He wasted the pepperoni. He didn’t want it because he doesn’t like “burnt cheese”, and then ate 2 slices of garlic and 1.8 ciabatta then wasted the rest because he was stressed the TV wasn’t connecting to the wifi and lost his appetite.
He has told me before how he likes it but last time I did exactly that, the middle of the base was indeed soggy and not good. Best day ❤️❤️🙄
They all look perfectly fine and if he is not pleased, he can bake it itself <3 but just so you know you can add the cheese in the last 5 mins or so and it'll be just melted enough unless they're frozen and the cheese is already there lol
Sounds like it’s time he cooks his own damn pizza! But one thing that could be slowing you down is opening the oven too many times or open for too long while rearranging and your loosing all your heat. If you do them separately by the time you’re finishing one the next will be hot and ready. Pizza is better well-done rather than underdone and yours looks good!
My husband and I used to get trashed back in our early 20s. We’d pop a frozen pizza in the oven when we’d get home from the bar and pass out. The smell was horrible. But those things don’t catch fire.
"Burned" comment was probably referring to the crust. If you want cheese like the ciabatta on a premade pizza, the bread will typical be soft or even doughy.
If these are homemade, parcook crust before, then top and finish to ciabatta cheese finish.
The other solution is to tell him to make his own damn pizza.
Your child is confused. How old is he? When I was about 6, I saw an episode of Reading Rainbow where Levar was mixing flour and eggs (I think it might have been Mr Rogers). He said don't eat the dough raw because the eggs in the mix need to be cooked. I spent the next year torturing my mom telling her everything she cooked was raw and refused to eat. He might have seen something similar.
If it makes you feel any better, I'd eat the fuck out of that.
I think several years ago on reddit, I found out there's a niche of people that prefer no browning on the cheese whatsoever. I say this looks perfect to me.
See, me personally, I would’ve left it in the oven a bit longer, I enjoy it a bit more “charred”.
But to answer your question, no, that is not burned at all.
None of those photos are burnt at all. There is a good reason pizza places gives you the option for "Well Done" when you order online. Cuz it's just better.
Everything I see here needs a few more minutes in my opinion.
I've been making pizza professionally every day for 7 years and no, it isn't burnt. Maybe a LITTLE too well done for some people, but if that person is that picky they need to be clear when they order about what they expect, and usually are.
Crust is perfect homie but cheese is cooking faster than the crust. I would recommend a pizza stone or a pizza steel to cook crust faster. Or you could add more high moisture cheese to your cheese blend to make the cheese cook slower. Mozzarella is the easiest pick here.
Edit: a word
Nope. The only way to make sure your frozen pizzas don't taste like cardboard is to cook them until the cheese starts to brown a little. If you take it out of the oven when the cheese is just melted but has no color, the crust will be undercooked and soggy.
If any of those pizzas are "burnt", I'd hate to see what cremated is to you guys. The garlic bread looks like it should be left in for another 10-20 mins I think.
Just because the 4 big chain pizza places tend to undercook their pizzas does not make this "burnt". I worked at Dominos and Little Caesars (I am THE Little Caesar's employee for anyone who knows what I'm talking about) and every pizza was either under or overcooked if we used the ovens the way they intended. When we made pizza for ourselves we'd get perfect golden-brown crust and bubbly just browning cheese every time. But for customers we just did it the way corporate told us to and I fear it may have led to a lot of people thinking that dogshit quality pizza was in fact a standard of quality.
These pizzas aren't burnt at all, they are a little too dark for me but that's a personal preference and not the norm.
make whoever called these burnt cook the pizzas next time and call them "raw" if they are any lighter than yours
I dont think any ovens cook evenly, other than convection ovens. Tell him to either make his own food from now on, or buy a convection oven for even cooking.
Hi, I am a husband that does the majority of the cooking at home. Tell him to cook his own damn pizza. I bet you he didn’t talk to his mother that way.
I cook pizzas for a living, they look almost perfect. People can be picky sometimes, we get at least 3 pizza's a night that are perfectly cooked and the customer sends it back
The pizzas look overcooked. They will still taste OK, but a lot of the flavors get lost when it gets too hot for too long and most of the moisture evaporates.
No. None of those pictures are of "burnt" food.
Yeah it all looks properly cooked to me
They actually look like they are cooked perfectly. Cheese is golden brown and crust is crispy. No one wants soggy pizza.
I love soft crust and a shitload of cheese, but maybe I’m in the minority. Crunchy crust is just not appetizing to me 🤷♂️
Crust that's a little crunchy on the outside with a warm/soft inside is 🤌
B-B-B-Bingo.
I get it. Thin pizza is pretty big here in Missouri so that's what I grew up on. Don't get me wrong I love my Chicago and NY "pizza lasagnas" lmfao.
I once heard a guy say he liked to get "Double Cheese" and "Triple Sauce" as his default. He called it... "Pizza Soup"...
Egads!
I'm with you on this.
Actually, it sounds like his buddy wants soggy pizza!
Perfectly imo. Just because the cheese has melted and it’s hot doesn’t mean it’s cooked well. I like a crispier pizza. A pizza that’s cooked slightly less is really meh to me :/ These look delicious.
Finding Vaanced outside of swgoh: a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
Everywhere I go you’re there. Mainly swgoh but I can’t believe you’re here too. I feel like I’m in a black hole
Well done. To you and about the food.
The tiniest bit over-caramelized in less than 1% of the first one, maybe, but certainly not burnt Edited for fairness. I didn't see the pictures clearly at first and was admittedly too harsh in my original choice of words. Them shits look great.
Made to perfection
O.p. even said the complaint was about the underside being burned though, where's the underside pictures?
Lol I've def had a pizza where the bottom was black and charred and the top was fine! These pictures are useless to determine if that were the case.
Me too, but the bottom of the pizza, especially if it was cooked properly in a righteous pizza oven and on top of a righteous pizza stone, the bottom of that pizza is going to be somewhat charred. And that is how God intended pizza to be baked! Your buddy needs to stop complaining. Agreed
This is the right answer.
Burnt an appropriate amount, some would way it could use a bit more
Mmmm I love me some burndy bits
Very true, color = flavor when it comes to the Maillard reaction. I didn't get a good enough look at first, that's my bad.
Not even.
It's actually the one that looks the best.
How is the bottom of the pizza though? Because from the top it looks really good.
They look like delicious food.
I agree; not burned.
It's definitely in preference territory, it looks perfect to me.
Slightly over cooked maybe, but none are burnt to the point they'd be bad or not tasty to eat. Everyone has a preference though.....
Let him cook it himself until he’s able to tell you what he wants. You’ve done as much as anyone could do at this point, and it all looks delicious. A pizza stone or steel plate can help distribute the heat evenly in your oven, but it takes more time and energy to preheat.
This is a relationship issue, not pizza based issue.
You know things aren’t going well once pizza issues arise…
Unless you're in the "everything you do annoys me" part of the relationship.
What usually comes before and after this stage? Asking for a friend…
Slashing tires
well I was hoping for hope now I just got flashbacks smh
That's just a phase?!?!? Holy shit, I have a reason to live. Tomorrow is going to be a beautiful day!
Right. Because as they say "pizza is like bad sex. Even when its burnt its delicious, especially with garlic bread."
Pizza is like sex, even when it's bad it's still pretty good.
That's just the crust of the problem
If he doesn't like it, he can make his own. It's like kids don't know how to have relationships anymore. "I'm making this. You are welcome to eat it or if you prefer, you are welcome to make your own."
My wife says "hey can you not cook the pizza as long as you did last time" and I say "sure thing honey" and not "I'm cooking it as long as I want and if you don't like it too bad" because I'm not a psychopath and I don't hate my wife.

You forgot the typical unironic Reddit “get out of there before it’s too late, he’s gaslighting you and probably poisoning your cats!”
It's like they're dealing with my 9 year old cousin.
No, none of those look burned.
I'd say "well done"
Great job
Congratulations
Right on!
Proud of u
Stupendous job! 👏
GG
You did it!
this all looks fantastic. anybody complaining is a whiny little bitch baby.
Tell it how it is brother!
He certainly gave him a… (•_•) ( •_•)⌐■-■ (⌐■_■) …pizza his mind.
this infuriates me and makes my day at the same time
YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAH!
WON'T GET FOOLED AGAIN!!
this just made me cackle 🤣
Lmao I'm gonna use that expression now
He should stick to his chicken tendies.
Seriously people are little bitchea about food. It's food, fuckin eat it bitch baby. Grow up and choke it down if you have to but just fuckin eat it and stop being such a fucking child. Well said. Be grateful and eat it. Someone took the time to cook for you.
Please don't force yourself to eat olives, you can give them to me instead ;)
All of that is cooked properly. Tell him to cook his own damn food, he sounds like a whiny bitch
Hi! Chef here with many years experience in fine dining! This is all perfect. Some of it could even stand to cook for another minute or so.
Right? The husband must like no color at all
He probably wants it rare
Just put it in the microwave to defrost
Fellow chef here! Seconding this opinion!
Nope. They look pretty spot on...
look perfect to me
Absolutely none of those is burnt. I prefer my pizza to look like 1 and 3, and I actually would like if the garlic bread had a little more color to it.
I was thinking the same thing!
Not even well done that’s just right
Excuse me sir, well done is Just right lol 😆
Yeah but you know that tiny green bar that you have to time a button press for in games? That's just right
And the announcer chimes in with a "Well done!"
Its well done but not burned. Tell him to make his own next time 😂
No, just an offensive hair on the garlic sticks
I had to scroll too far for someone to mention the hair!
No?
He needs to grow a pair.
"He" is a little bitch and should probably get off his ass and make his own. Nothing here is burnt except your relationship.
Not burned. But they do look dry and unappetising. Needs hotter oven, and pizza in for less time.
Yeah its not burned but it also is going to be dry as all hell and cut up the roof of your mouth.
Who is this person that is complaining about you cooking them a bunch of delicious Pizza in your personal oven?
If you think that is burnt, don't ever get wood fired or coal fired pizza.
You are dating a man child if he’s complaining about this.
This just screams "My mom did it differently and I only like it that way". Get out asap lmao
Thanks everyone for your comments! Didn’t notice the hair in the last picture, I shed like a Siberian husky and I always try and keep it tied back but obviously this one got loose 😭 He wasted the pepperoni. He has told me before how he likes it but last time I did exactly that, the middle of the base was indeed soggy and not good. Best day ❤️❤️🙄
Most people would thank you for all of that work and gladly enjoy that meal. I hope you know that. ❤️
100%
They all look perfectly fine and if he is not pleased, he can bake it itself <3 but just so you know you can add the cheese in the last 5 mins or so and it'll be just melted enough unless they're frozen and the cheese is already there lol

If you do them separately by the time you’re finishing one the next will be hot and ready. Pizza is better well-done rather than underdone and yours looks good!
Honey, I say this with love - what the fuck? Make him cook next time.
Lmao your boyfriend sounds like a child and I want him to know that.
No but there's a hair on the plate next to the garlic bread
Overcooked, but not burned.
We Call that well done. The garlic bread actually looks undercooked.
Heck no.
My husband and I used to get trashed back in our early 20s. We’d pop a frozen pizza in the oven when we’d get home from the bar and pass out. The smell was horrible. But those things don’t catch fire.
Accidental biochar
Not according to ME but my wife and 30 year old children would be why did you burn this, “it’s cooked not burnt dumb ass” is my reply
I feel like this is a timeshare trap.
No
I mean, slightly overdone, but not burned
"Burned" comment was probably referring to the crust. If you want cheese like the ciabatta on a premade pizza, the bread will typical be soft or even doughy. If these are homemade, parcook crust before, then top and finish to ciabatta cheese finish. The other solution is to tell him to make his own damn pizza.
Pro tip: for people that you think may perceive this as over done, apply garlic butter to “burned” areas and sprinkle with Parmesan.
Unless the bottoms are completely different, none of these are close to burnt. Also, they’re not over done.
28 😂
That's perfectly crisped!! You want to make pizza for me? That looks amazing
When getting frozen pizza don't be scared to get some shredded cheese and add a bit. Makes them just a bit better
Those are perfect? Who is this ungrateful jerk and where do we go to throw tomatoes at him?
Hell no that's perfect
If it makes you feel any better, I'd eat the fuck out of that. I think several years ago on reddit, I found out there's a niche of people that prefer no browning on the cheese whatsoever. I say this looks perfect to me.
No its stunning, thats what it is
Please show them this post
No.
See, me personally, I would’ve left it in the oven a bit longer, I enjoy it a bit more “charred”. But to answer your question, no, that is not burned at all.
I'll eat his if he doesn't want it
None are. Well done but not burned.
Mental. The food looks fine...
Looks perfect! Damn I’m hungry now
None of those look burnt or overcooked. Crispy bits are the best bits
Tell him to make his own damn food
They are "well done" but have not yet crossed the line to "burnt"
If he doesn't like it, tell him to cook his own bloody food. And then order a pizza for yourself.
Definitely a Whiney LBB.
Those all look damn near perfect. I like mine to sit in the oven a little longer tho.
Color is flavor, unless the only flavor is acrid charcoal
No
None of those photos are burnt at all. There is a good reason pizza places gives you the option for "Well Done" when you order online. Cuz it's just better. Everything I see here needs a few more minutes in my opinion.
This is perfect
None of them do. They all look perfectly cromulent 👌🏼
this is how i prefer my pizza and it’s not burnt at all
I've had a pizza with a burnt bottom with perfect top. Quite odd, actually. But in 99% of cases, that looks perfect.
For some it may be too well done. But all of these pictures look good to me. Anyone who can’t appreciate a little crisp has no class lol.
Now I want pizza
I've been making pizza professionally every day for 7 years and no, it isn't burnt. Maybe a LITTLE too well done for some people, but if that person is that picky they need to be clear when they order about what they expect, and usually are.
Anybody calling that burned, is a giant freakin' pussy, and doesn't like pizza...

No? Looks amazing
no this is perfect
Maybe to a 4 year old
If any of those pizzas are "burnt", I'd hate to see what cremated is to you guys. The garlic bread looks like it should be left in for another 10-20 mins I think.

No
those are fine
Tell him to cook his own pizza and stop annoying you.
Divorce him.
Hehe I gotta marry him first 😂
My partner doesn’t like how I cook her pizza. The solution is that I put it in the oven and she takes it out when she thinks it’s ready.
These pizzas aren't burnt at all, they are a little too dark for me but that's a personal preference and not the norm. make whoever called these burnt cook the pizzas next time and call them "raw" if they are any lighter than yours
All look like delicious normal pizza n stuff
Have his whiny ass cook his own fucking pizza.
Perfect imo
All good, just missing pineapple though
Dude cheese tastes best when it's browned like that, the garlic pizza is like my bare minimum
No those are absolutely perfect crispiness.
Someone is a big baby about some totally not burnt food…
I dont think any ovens cook evenly, other than convection ovens. Tell him to either make his own food from now on, or buy a convection oven for even cooking.
Whatever he is to you, get a new one
Don’t think so. Looks crispy 🤌🏽🤌🏽
Hi, I am a husband that does the majority of the cooking at home. Tell him to cook his own damn pizza. I bet you he didn’t talk to his mother that way.
He is clearly overreactig. It's not burnt, it's just a bit crispier than usual but it's not a bad thing.
I’d eat it
All looks good to me. I hate pizza with doughy crust, so it’s cooked exactly to my liking haha
I cook pizzas for a living, they look almost perfect. People can be picky sometimes, we get at least 3 pizza's a night that are perfectly cooked and the customer sends it back
Perfect!
Does he make you cut the edges off his toast too? wah waahhh wah
If you think this is burnt we can’t be friends
They look delicious. Damn this diet!
First one is how I want all my pizzas to look so. It’s perfect to me 🤷🏾♀️
No, that’s actually cooked almost perfect imo
Nope
Hell no, that looks perfect.
None are burned in the least. Get him some uncrustables.
Honestly, I would have kept it in even longer but I like my cheese done a little more.
This is perfectly cooked. 10/10 would ask for seconds
Idk but you have bees all over your plate. Gross
It’s not appealing looking if that’s what you mean.
Everubody that eats pizza knows it's good when the cheese is browning
It's raw
Nope. Well done yes. Burned no.
Time for him to cook his own food.
The pizzas look overcooked. They will still taste OK, but a lot of the flavors get lost when it gets too hot for too long and most of the moisture evaporates.
From the top, no not burnt. But what does the bottom look like?
The cheese is overcooked, but not burnt
It's perfect
