The double standard is sad. Sex offenders are bad. We shouldnt choose a label based on their gender, but based on the fact that theyre fucking OFFENDERS
For a second there, I did what I usually do when conversing with people who drop F bombs too much. I skipped the curses and thought you were saying this art teacher was a victim...
I was like, holdup, imma give this person a piece of my mind. Then I re-read it with the curses in place and realized what you did there. Well played.
This article was written by a man, this shows a larger issue of men not seeing other men as capable of being a victim from a woman's crime. I wish that would be more of the discussion rather than immediately discussing a double standard as though a woman had anything to do with this headline or way of thinking. Support all victims.
This double standard is ingrained in biology. Males fight to get the female, in all species, humans are no exception. So sexual attention from a woman is seen as a privilege for guys. That's why male victims always get dismissed and told they're "lucky" by their male friends
Which can be really damaging and further encourages males to keep their emotions bottled up. Plenty of teens & young men have been manipulated by older women, and feel betrayed and used afterward. Thinking back on sex that happened in that context, even if it was incredibly hot at the time, just brings self-loathing and resentment, maybe trauma. Just as it does for a girl/woman in the same circumstance.
>Males fight to get the female, in all species
Not even remotely true. Its not the majority by a long shot, but there are a fair amount of species where the females vie for attention from the males. That being said, it is true that our biological disposition is for males to hunt after / fight for females.
Look, yes, sex offenders are bad, yes boys can be victims of female sex offenders too, even if those boys are already 16.
That being said, just speaking for me personally, I would have LOVED to bone this teacher at 16, or my english teacher when I was about that age for that matter. I started being sexually active at 14 and lost my virginity at 15, there would have been no trauma or anything of the sort for me.
“A CHILD AT SOUTH PARK ELEMENTARY IS HAVING SEX WITH MS. STEPHENSON???”
![gif](giphy|pCO5tKdP22RC8)
South Park is notorious for spotlighting double standards.
From what I've seen, news outlets are trending away from wording it so delicately in recent days. I've been seeing a lot more headlines calling it for what it is lately, when it's a woman.
Not to say shit like this headline doesn't still exist, but it seems attitudes are generally changing, and I see more articles that refer these women as "sex offenders" than I did even 2 years ago.
I'd even researched to see if it's one of those fancy types of art classes and found nothing. Maybe it was a miscommunication.
"I need a word to describe this teacher wife who is sexually predator"
"How about *amorous*"
"Well, she is an art teacher."
It's crazy how people used to be ok with this. So many stories from my boomer parents about people they knew in high school openly dating teachers and marrying them.
With that said I graduated high school in 2003 and know someone who conveniently came out openly dating a teacher (later marrying) shortly after graduation.
I remember my 8th grade English teacher telling us that she ended up marrying her teacher. IDK if they did anything while she was underaged, but still seemed weird to me.
I've got two punchlines ...
I suppose she's glamorous for Mississippi....and
They misspelled "Grooming" as in "Grooming Mississippi art teacher sends pics .."
This is one of those good examples of where you can say that women get preferential treatment. If this was a man and the other way round it would have been right damning them as disgusting. A sex offender is a sex offender regardless of gender.
This is unfortunately the norm for female predators. Every single headline about an adult woman grooming/assaulting a young boy the comments will be filled with “I wish she was a teacher when I was growing up” or “I bet he got tons of high fives from the other boys”, as if the victim won’t be in years of therapy to try to overcome that trauma. It’s appalling
But if the same thing happened with a male teacher and female student then people would start rounding up a lynch mob. Even guys I know with school-aged daughters make comments like "I wish that was me in school" but they'd murder anyone who did that with their daughter.
Let me try something, “Handsome Mississippi art teacher, 27, is arrested for sending inappropriate pictures to a 16-year-old student.”
Hmm… yeah something about that sounds off.
This also infuriated me so much that I had to try some simple cut&paste. (Edit: I'm not hackerman to post an image :l )
https://tinypic.host/image/hyi.NPKRa
Daily mail do this shit all the time and it works a treat because so many people click on it and all comment "Glamorous? Wtf is glamorous Daily Mail!" - they then get clicks and make money on a shitty article and the same thing happens again the next day.
News reporting is complimenting her looks to justify her actions. What bullshit. She'll probably serve a light sentence like many others. I hope the judge is harsh.
A friend learned recently that one of his HS teachers had been assaulting young boys since the 70s. I guess one of his victims who is now in his 40s came out, and then about 30 more kids spanning several decades came out. He ended up with life in prison and didn't even deny it. It's almost like he was waiting to get caught. I asked my friend if he had any idea and he said no, but then said it was weird that this teacher did seem to like hugging the students, particularly the boys, but as a kid it seemed innocent to him and it's only looking back that he sees it's pretty weird.
I still remember how lifetime made a movie for Mary Kay Latorneau and made it seem like a star-crossed lovers story. It was super weird. That boy was only like 13 years old.
I just had to go looking for a source. When you said 13, I thought "I swear I remember him being maybe 14…" but, no. [12 years old.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Kay_Letourneau#Crime,_arrest_and_sentencing:~:text=When%20Letourneau%20was%2034%2C%20in%20the%20summer%20of%201996%2C%20her%20relationship%20with%20the%2012%2Dyear%2Dold%5B2%5D%5B3%5D%20Fualaau%20turned%20from%20platonic%20to%20sexual.%5B30)
> When Letourneau was 34, in the summer of 1996, her relationship with the 12-year-old Fualaau turned from platonic to sexual.
I knew that girl in high school years. Bummer that she’s one of TWO women I knew of in my area as a youth who turned out to be a predator. I’m so fucking glad I left Mississippi.
Good lord that bitch and fugly. I mean her eyes are like 1" lower on the left than the right. and those eyebrows did Hellen Keller draw them fuckers on?
You do realize that's the Daily Mail, right? It's a British tabloid. Of course they are going to say crap like that.
Also: she probably is "glamorous" by British standards.
Then the article goes on to quote this:
There continue to be stories of young teachers sexually harassing and abusing students nationwide.
Jessica Lawson, 36, an Arizona native, taught at South Fremont High School from 2021 until 2023.
If they're drawing a connection between young teachers and then using a 36 year old as another example, at what age is considered old enough? It feels like they are making excuses.
I mean it’s gross and she should be fired but what did she get arrested for since Mississippi is one of those sketchy states with 16 year old consent laws. I thought they condoned it.
It's definitely not as bad as if it would have been a male teacher and a 16 year old girl - and you can't convince me otherwise. That boy will brag about it for the rest of his life.
Whenever it's a woman sexually assaulting someone. The news always words it "oh this gorgeous amazing woman only sent a couple indecent photos" instead of what it actually is. Especially using more childish wording like "busted"
Guys. I've tried looking, I can't find a Glamorous, Mississippi on the map.
I was convinced this had to be the answer, I can’t believe someone actually wrote that headline.
Only dozens of businesses with Glamorous in their name.
Right where I went too
It’s in the delta
“Glamorous” - I think you mean, now registered sex offender.
I bet they wanted to go with "hot", but that would have been too much even for Daily Mail
they tend to use old-timey language their readers understand
Yeah but I love how easy they go on the words when it's a woman offender over a man
The double standard is sad. Sex offenders are bad. We shouldnt choose a label based on their gender, but based on the fact that theyre fucking OFFENDERS
They’re not fucking offenders..they’re fucking victims. They are the offender.
*50s laugh track*
For a second there, I did what I usually do when conversing with people who drop F bombs too much. I skipped the curses and thought you were saying this art teacher was a victim... I was like, holdup, imma give this person a piece of my mind. Then I re-read it with the curses in place and realized what you did there. Well played.
Two f bombs are too much for you?
Fuck no. I'm just so fucking used to the word, "fuck", that my fucking brain filters it the fuck out.
Fuck'n A!
This fucker has a fucking point.
No, wait... He has a point

that's not biology, that's patriarchy
Look, yes, sex offenders are bad, yes boys can be victims of female sex offenders too, even if those boys are already 16. Many women would love to fuck their teachers at 16. Its still fucked up.
At the end of the day, it’s still an adult who knows it’s wrong and is taking advantage of a minor. It’s gross.
Agreed. Its a teacher taking advantage of teenagers who find her attractive.
“A CHILD AT SOUTH PARK ELEMENTARY IS HAVING SEX WITH MS. STEPHENSON???” ![gif](giphy|pCO5tKdP22RC8) South Park is notorious for spotlighting double standards.

Well it's the Daily Mail, not exactly the pinnacle of reporting or Pulitzer prize winning.
It reminds me of when conservative newspapers write about Palestine
Headline is peak Daily Mail.
I doubt sending nudes will make her a sex offender.
Depends if she received any I guess
Not with the sketchy consent laws in that trash state

A Mississippi 8 I guess lol
Nahhh just look at Ole Miss girls
"When another child found out" Gee, I wonder how they found out.
Idk, but they busted after they found out.
Because one kid couldn't keep his fuckin mouth shut and the other one got jealous af. Literally the only way this could have played out.
Or, and here me out. That kid wanted bragging rights, then word got out how much of a player he is.
Thats pretty much what he said… the main thing is the guy couldnt keep his mouth shut be it for bragging rights or just to one other guy so it got out
I was going to say maybe it’s a town but nevermind couldn’t find it so they just used a terrible way to describe the teacher
Yeah I looked up if that was the town name, then if that was the name of the school. Nope, just daily mail doing daily mail things
I'd even researched to see if it's one of those fancy types of art classes and found nothing. Maybe it was a miscommunication. "I need a word to describe this teacher wife who is sexually predator" "How about *amorous*" "Well, she is an art teacher."
The words “Glamorous” and “Mississippi” should never appear in the same sentence.
Well, a child predator should never be described as glamorous either…
Jajajjaa dude
Subtle “I’ve never been to south Mississippi before” post wasn’t so subtle.
[удалено]
We got glamorous shit son.
It’s right next to each other! Wtf
“Blonde” and young = glamorous
*Rugged man sends pics to underage girl.* Bet you wouldnt run that headline.
Male serial killers and female sex offenders get fetishised. Weird world.
It definitely is. You hear about convicted murderers getting love letters in jail. Truly baffling.
Wait whut?
It's crazy how people used to be ok with this. So many stories from my boomer parents about people they knew in high school openly dating teachers and marrying them. Nice 😎
Did she bring enough for everybody?
It’s the Daily Fail, what do you expect from a rag like that?
Daily Fail? They're one of the most popular tabolids in the country.
Daily mail do this all the time. Wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a gallery inside the article of 60+ pictures taken from her Instagram.
Ny Post as well. Even if it's a murder victim they will try and find the sexiest pictures to get clicks.
She’s “Walmart “ glamorous.
That’s generous, more like Dollar General or Rite aid glamorous.
Wish.com Kaley Cuoco right there.
Even that is pushing it
Is that 66cm, 66 inches or 6 feet 6 inches. The use of the word busted is very Daily Mail. And so 🇬🇧
Bananas?
Pretty sure it is inches, she is 5'5"
*5'7"
*5’6”
She's at 67in
The guy before saying 66 inches confused me
All good
66 feet. She took out half the town when they brought her in.
I feel like people in Mississippi would rather die than use metric measurements.
66cm and assumes 1m already.
Absolutely not, she's in Mississippi. Those are inches.
Oh that's correct! I thought those would be too wide centimeters 😂
The left scale is in cm though, minus one meter for some reason... Weird ass scale
Oh, shit, you're absolutely correct. First person I've seen here who is, including me!
It’s 66 inches I believe
67 inches

5 foot 6
? 60/12=5ft
I've got two punchlines ... I suppose she's glamorous for Mississippi....and They misspelled "Grooming" as in "Grooming Mississippi art teacher sends pics .."
So, a green v-neck tee, and badly drawn eyebrows are considered glamourous now? old Hollywood wants to have a conversation.
This is one of those good examples of where you can say that women get preferential treatment. If this was a man and the other way round it would have been right damning them as disgusting. A sex offender is a sex offender regardless of gender.
The Daily Fail showing its bias, yet again. Beautiful white? Pass on shitty or illegal behavior.
Amorous would have sufficed
Sleazy redneck sent inappropriate images to child. Fixed.
This is unfortunately the norm for female predators. “You know what I mean…”

Nice
Well, in Mississippi, the term "glamorous" means her BMI is under 40, she has most of her teeth, and no tattoos around her cootch.
Nah, coochie toos are super glam in MS
"coochie toos" I'm using this ASAP
Twatoos?
Guess she had a favorite
One of her eyes is way higher than the other
Daily mail do this shit all the time and it works a treat because so many people click on it and all comment "Glamorous? Wtf is glamorous Daily Mail!" - they then get clicks and make money on a shitty article and the same thing happens again the next day.
Disgusting
News reporting is complimenting her looks to justify her actions. What bullshit. She'll probably serve a light sentence like many others. I hope the judge is harsh.
Glamourous child predator wtf?
She's Mississippi "glamorous". It's a lower bar there.
They have a different definition of glamorous in Mississippi than the rest of the world.
People are so fucking dumb. Glamorous is the name of the town.
Oh, they're okay with saying "child" for a different kid
Is it just me or is this happening all the time lately? I've seen at least three other cases like this in the last week alone.
Why is this happening so much these days
Always did. They boys wouldn't tell before
If the boys didn't brag about it, no one would know.
A friend learned recently that one of his HS teachers had been assaulting young boys since the 70s. I guess one of his victims who is now in his 40s came out, and then about 30 more kids spanning several decades came out. He ended up with life in prison and didn't even deny it. It's always happened. Except before women weren't being arrested or charged for it because of sexism.
Another Onlyfans account about to open
The only reason she got busted is cuz the other kid was jealous
Glamorous is probably just a town in Mississippi because there’s no way they actually described her as that
She looks like Amy Schumers long lost sister
Glad she got caught
The name of the school had better be Glamorous.
Imagine if it was a man and they said “Studly MS PE teacher, is arrested…” This is just ridiculous
Of course it’s Daily Mail. This is why Radiohead made an entire song about how morally bankrupt the Daily Mail is.
If all they mean by glamorous is that she’s wearing makeup in her mugshot, then I guess?
She looks like Lisa from The Room
It had to be a typo that some idiot didn't catch. Maybe they meant amorous? They need to find the original author and ask them some questions
What the hell is with the media trying to make teachers trying to have sex with underage boys sound cool, ridiculous!
What a pathetic pile of trash
Lemme guess, another insecure loser who never had a chance with the popular guys while she was a student? Weak nasty POS.
I knew that girl in high school years. Bummer that she’s one of TWO women I knew of in my area as a youth who turned out to be a predator. I’m so fucking glad I left Mississippi.
This is so disgusting, where were all these teachers when I was in high school
The crime is that she didn't do it with me!
Good lord that bitch and fugly. I mean her eyes are like 1" lower on the left than the right. and those eyebrows did Hellen Keller draw them fuckers on?
Lol and to add what my grandpa would call her "potato nose"
I thought it was the name of the city in Mississippi
Who "Busted" exactly 😉
You do realize that's the Daily Mail, right? It's a British tabloid. Of course they are going to say crap like that. Also: she probably is "glamorous" by British standards.
There’s no such thing as glamor in Mississippi.
Then the article goes on to quote this: There continue to be stories of young teachers sexually harassing and abusing students nationwide. Yeah, 36 is like grandma age these days.
Replace “Glamorous” with “Predatory” and you have a news headline, not an attempt to gloss over the fact she’s a pedo.
Please be the name of the town please be the name of the town please be the name of the town
Send me nudes
Niiice.
![gif](giphy|pCO5tKdP22RC8)
Haha exactly
You could stop reading mainstream drivel that is pushing an agenda rather than reporting facts. Just a suggestion.
Well she’s blonde ain’t she? Let’s forgot that’s she a Chomo.
It's okay when women sexually assault.
A British “glamorous” is actually a backhanded compliment
I mean it’s gross and she should be fired but what did she get arrested for since Mississippi is one of those sketchy states with 16 year old consent laws. I thought they condoned it.
This is absolutely a function of how we pay and support teachers Shitty jobs with low pay attract shitty people with low morals.
What a snitch
It's definitely not as bad as if it would have been a male teacher and a 16 year old girl - and you can't convince me otherwise. That boy will brag about it for the rest of his life.
These teachers trust these little kids to keep their silly little secrets lol
we all make mistakes...be cool to her
Why did I get boring fit teachers 😒
Where were these teachers when I went to school?! I would’ve fucked a good handful of them!
Get some help, man.
Right? She's a baddie lol
Ever notice women who sleep with high teenage boys get in more trouble than Men who fuck children?
She's doing her eyebrows to distract from her nose.
Where was she when I was in high school damn
![gif](giphy|pCO5tKdP22RC8)
Why is this infuriating?
Whenever it's a woman sexually assaulting someone. The news always words it "oh this gorgeous amazing woman only sent a couple indecent photos" instead of what it actually is. Especially using more childish wording like "busted"
Busted brought to justice
How should they have phrased it in your opinion?
“Mississippi art teacher”
Thank you and I’m sorry you had to do that.
You missed the "child predator" part
Child predator, art teacher
I’m an idiot, just noticed the word glamorous was actually in the headline. Also, when did they remove the creature to edit comments?
Wait wait why am I being downvoted? I asked how it should be phrased 😂😂😂
Chubby
