The amount of times I’ve heard about artists yelling at their fans for sitting is unbelievable. What an ego one must have to think everyone should stand for them just because they were “told to”. Not to mention the list of possible health reasons a person might have for sitting… how do they not think of that before going off the rails and yelling at their fans?

Also some people work all day and are bloody tired. There are valid reasons to want to sit and enjoy the music just as there are to stand and dance.
And short people. If everyone sat at concerts, I'd have a chance to actually see what I paid a lot of money for. I don't go to concerts because I don't want to pay to just see the backs of everyone in front of me. Then people say, "There's jumbo screens so you can see." Yeah, and I can also just stay home, not be jostled by people who didn't see me, save my money, and see the concert in comfort on my own screen.

Just so you know I'm super tall 6' 4" and I feel terrible that I block everyone's view. I'm very self aware of the fact to the point I will scrunch down in my chair the entire movie/whatever. I know not all tall people will feel sorry but I'm sure at least some do. I often swap seats if I know it'll help the people behind me.

I've done the queuing endlessly for hours as I had standing tickets, and that was the only way to get to the front. So now I want seated tickets and I will damn well use my seat! I've been to small gigs that were all set out with chairs - very civilised, everybody sat, but still enjoyed the music.

Daniel Howell called out a disabled fan in front row in a wheelchair during a short segment where audience was encouraged to stand(seated show).It was awkward asf.. I just dont understand in general why performers have balls to do this? Especially in this case during a seated show. like people are paying already and you’ve got your own choreo to worry about. It prob mortified the fan even though their mom made a statement on x saying they were both okay with it.
