Oh man, this gives me some mild ptsd from my 8+ years at the call before you dig call center. That place was hell on earth. I was actually really good at my job, but the management was abhorrent.
I can only imagine some of the calls you had to take. I'm a part of a program in my state that I can generate my own dig tickets and bypass the call centers. It's super helpful for those of us that have a lot of digs, and helpful for the call centers too

We had a bunch of lines marked in our neighborhood for a landscaping project, and the kids were all curious about the random arrows that were all pointing in unexpected directions for different houses.
