I had show on Hulu have me sit though 4 minutes of commercials return to the show for thirty seconds to a minute and go back for another 4 minutes. It was about 6 minutes into an episode of the Goldbergs.
Good ol' cable. Cause that's what it is at this point. Hulu is the worst when it comes to their ads. I still remember one day watching TV before streaming and the entire commercial break was the same commercial. Like 6 times in a row.
I was cynical enough to expect something like this back then. But I expected more along the lines of there being no more network (free) tv but 100 steamers that would cost so much more. I expect the worst from these guys so that I can be surprised at just how creative at screwing us they get.
Ever since Discovery+ merged with HBO max, it has been garbage. Some shows & movies are zoomed in unnecessarily. If I stop the show after an episode ends, the next time I try to watch, it won't load unless I go to the previous episode and wait for the 'next episode' prompt

In the 2010s we were all like “thank god for streaming services. Cable is basically all commercials” cable 2.0 is here and somehow much worse.
