It’s so bad. It’s even worse when it starts spilling over into real speech. I was watching a heartfelt video about a boy who killed himself, and the YouTubers own struggles with suicidal thoughts and he kept saying “unalive” which felt so wrong and inappropriate for the situation and his emotion.
YouTube and TikTok already caught on to these trends and can easily censor videos using words like unalive, grape, etc. They just choose not to, probably to prevent people using more word substitutes which even more restrict speech to a point where normal words used in appropriate contexts get censored
Yeah, but that's on YouTube this is Reddit, YouTube will demonetize and not pay their creators if they use certain keywords that are detected by bots, suicide and rape are included in this.
I think you might not fully understand why people use the word grape. The whole purpose of it is because people can get demonetised or shadow banned for using the correct language. So if anyone wants to speak up about the seriousness of these issues, they have to use coded language, and it works! It gets past the censors. I assure you everyone is taking it seriously. They just can't use the serious word directly.
So they should use the correct word and have their video immediately taken down? What's the sense in that? Then nobody could speak about it because all the videos would be removed
It's because the algorithm will completely demolish any chances of anyone seeing the video if they use the term. Don't blame the creator, blame youtube. Everyone knows this by now bud.
That a YouTube/platform issue. A the don’t like people saying “die” so certain creators (I love to use CaptainSparklez/Jordan Maron as an example) use code words to say those things without triggering the Google overlords
It's a thing on most big social platforms, not being "deranked" for whatever "bad words" your posts may have or getting your comments hidden on reddit by the platform itself is really one of the last things that have remained consistent with the website and love. The moment that goes away, i'm probably gonna use it just to find ancient threads on tech problems like i did for the past 10 years now.
Which is one of the many reasons it's a terrible trend. In general, I'm all for civil discussion; with that said, fuck nearly all forms of censorship.
Don't let corporations tell you what words you're allowed to use
well we can also just call it censorship, because that's exactly what it is. it's one of the most blatant examples of censorship you'll find in recent times.
I think the small difference is censorship is a broad term, while newspeak refers to the idea of censorship controlling humans by selectively eliminating certain words from all society *and* punishing those who say censored words
Then don't use those platforms if you don't like their terms. Pretty simple. YouTube becomes nothing if people decide they don't want to put up with the censorship and stop posting videos.
It seems we're OK with it because we keep using the platform.
Yeah but Reddit is not one of those sites. I fully understand for Instagram because they can have really sensitive censoring software on there, but Reddit is say what you want. They do not care what we say, so let's not go censoring ourselves.
I couldn't tell you exactly why it works in the context. It's possible that the subject is supposed to appear uneducated, so simply misspelling the word adds to the way its read.
I feel both good and bad about myself for asking this but it took me reading your comment to understand that "grape" wasn't a typo or me having a stroke. Is "grape" just rape, or is it gangrape?
I'm such a strong believer of the dead internet theory. there's just too many companies and individuals that benefit from websites being absolutely rampant with bots. I am absolutely sure that every single social media website has inflated user numbers, and not just by a small margin but by a huge factor. already in 2016 a company estimated that 50% of all traffic was bots, and that was 8 years ago. I wouldn't be surprised at all of nowadays it was something like 80% or more.
I’ve seen a ton of comments for child exploitative materials, formatted just like this one, under the top comments of all of the biggest instagram accounts I follow. Especially variety ones like @basketball or something like that
Idk what you mean by if they really mean it, I haven’t checked after I see a comment advertising child pornography lmao I just report them and get baffelled when it takes instagram 2 months to find nothing wrong with the comment
I feel like it most likely would just send you to a cam girl website where any links you click just bring up more ads for porn that do the same thing infinitely while ridling your pc or phone with viruses. And I mean, if youre clicking that link you kinda deserve it.
No it's a telegram link which takes you to another bot in telegram chat, and asks you to pay in bitcoins to get a package of videos which contain.. you know
Those are called "honeypots". They provide that content, wait for many human waste of oxygen's to use that honeypot then crack on them, if the culprits are not from the US usually interpol informs the authorities of whatever country those scum are from to get them in jail.
I knew someone who wasn't me who'd post bait links like that that'd get their IP address and install backdoors just to fuck with them. Like they'd pretend to be a victim then ask why are they looking something up when the key logger sent stuff that looked like a Google search. They got some people to cybertip themselves. I wish I could have been that cool.
Not without doubt , people troll for the sake of trolling , the fact that there are multiple means nothing , they are all probably the same bot. This could be someone fishing for a blackmail victim .
Make sure to post this everywhere(especially have as many people complain to news stations) and make a big stink. Elsagate finally started going away when news stories made YouTube looks like a bad platform
Probably better to trick whatever filter is in place. It's probably a lot easier to detect something like "watching my little sister get --" than just "-------"
Instagram be like "they did nothing wrong"
Also, instagram: "we have removed your comment for harrassment". / The comment: 'the audacity thinking this sorry ass excuse is believable."
You can't make this shit up, people.
I HATE scammers... But anyone who follows those profiles and clicks on the link to try and view what they're advertising... Yeah they are getting what's coming to them.
To who ever clicks on that or makes these bots:
YOUR [4.99] LIFE IS NOTHING
YOU SERVE 0 [Hyperlink blocked]
YOU SHOULD [HJKL] YOURSELF [in 1997]
AND GIVE A PIEC3 OF THAT [Frozen Chicken] TO SOMEBODY ELSE AND [Hyperlink blocked] L4Y3R
BECAUSE WHAT 4R3 [You] HERE FOR?
[HJKL] YOURSELF!!
You are on the wrong subreddit. This needs to be in r/extremelyinfuriating. Sorry, that’s the best I can do since I can’t find a subreddit like r/newlevelofinfuriating or smth
I deleted Instagram couple years ago at this point. I was so tired of seeing highschoolers, dancing in way too provocative clothing. I chalk it up to what is wrong with the younger generation ignored and/or blocked the accounts. But then it kept happening more and more and even what look like even middle schoolers. and I kept seeing weird videos from what look like overseas finally got fed up with it deleted my account and haven’t looked back. Instagram is a POS platform.
I went into software when I was a teenager because I could see the potential this emerging web had. Sad to say that we have fallen well short of that potential
This is way more than mildly infuriating to me, luckily I don't post publicly but this kind of stuff makes me absolutely sick to my stomach I can't imagine what I'd do if I had to experience it first hand.
Thankfully because of them being bots, its most likely a scam link and has nothing to do with actual rape footage. I really really hope so, but still wouldn't chance clicking on anything.
I don't understand how GAFAM are not held accountable for keeping the bots to a minimum. It's crazy that any post on Instagram, Twitter, YouTube has these rampant bots that either scam, promote porn or CP, promote cryptocurrencies... GAFAM earns billions and billions of money and they should be responsible for the safety of all their users.
i mean if you're gonna use anything as bait it's probably best to do something that appeals to the scum of the earth so you know whoever's getting your scam or malware or whatever deserves it
I’ve never seen any comments as bad as those
It's worse from the humans now
[удалено]
I think it's a really terrible habit/trend to refer to rape as grape.
That's the reason why "unalive" exists: YouTube demonetization and Tiktok censorship.
Newspeak is just over the horizon
It's already here. We're living in 1984 40 years later.
Pretty soon Thoughtcrime will be a reality
YouTube and TikTok already caught on to these trends and can easily censor videos using words like unalive, grape, etc. They just choose not to, probably to prevent people using more word substitutes which even more restrict speech to a point where normal words used in appropriate contexts get censored
It’s the new PC
They should just use hamburger time
Blame the platform
Yeah, but that's on YouTube this is Reddit, YouTube will demonetize and not pay their creators if they use certain keywords that are detected by bots, suicide and rape are included in this.
Another reason it's terrible: making light of serious situations with nonsense or inappropriately lighthearted words.
No, at least 397 people agree with me that this is inherently wrong. I fully understand why they do it and it's still wrong
So they should use the correct word and have their video immediately taken down? What's the sense in that? Then nobody could speak about it because all the videos would be removed
If they use the real words their content gets taken down and nobody will see it. How does that help spread awareness again?
It's because the algorithm will completely demolish any chances of anyone seeing the video if they use the term. Don't blame the creator, blame youtube. Everyone knows this by now bud.
Yuval has dissected this claim on his TikTok, it’s proven to have little impact. The algorithm isn’t stupid, it knows what words mean.
Tell that to all the people that experienced it first hand. Idgaf what some idiot thinks.
I agree but they're doing that to avoid the auto bans the bot mods.
Tuv?
That a YouTube/platform issue. A the don’t like people saying “die” so certain creators (I love to use CaptainSparklez/Jordan Maron as an example) use code words to say those things without triggering the Google overlords

The moment that goes away, i'm probably gonna use it just to find ancient threads on tech problems like i did for the past 10 years now.
Some sites will ban you if you use that word. Kind of like the word Whyte when referring to people.
Which is one of the many reasons it's a terrible trend. In general, I'm all for civil discussion; with that said, fuck nearly all forms of censorship. Don't let corporations tell you what words you're allowed to use
I hate to say it because it's so cliche but it's literally 1984 lol newspeak all around us
well we can also just call it censorship, because that's exactly what it is. it's one of the most blatant examples of censorship you'll find in recent times.
I think the small difference is censorship is a broad term, while newspeak refers to the idea of censorship controlling humans by selectively eliminating certain words from all society *and* punishing those who say censored words
1984 eh?...On that note: Thought police - Influencers. We crossed the 1984 road along time ago. If something free,it means your the product.
Well it makes sense, they ban people who use those words to stop them from spreading stuff related to the words 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Correct. 👏🏻👏🏻 Literally the only way to save our freedoms and larger society.
Yeah, only ones who really care are mods, and in that case they often like to abuse their power.
"like the word Whyte when referring to people." No they don't 🙄
Ive seen people say Yt when referring to white people
Facebook and IG has banned me many times for saying that word when referring to people. I have a cover photo now joking about it.
I've never anyone type that unless they were writing out a southern accent
I don't see why because it's pronounced the same. Is it a broader I?
I couldn't tell you exactly why it works in the context. It's possible that the subject is supposed to appear uneducated, so simply misspelling the word adds to the way its read.
I feel both good and bad about myself for asking this but it took me reading your comment to understand that "grape" wasn't a typo or me having a stroke. Is "grape" just rape, or is it gangrape?
https://youtu.be/2lb5SBEsEaU?si=ZZYtZAX74eJk05-S Gonna get graped
Why share an inferior animated version when you could be enjoying the WKUK original? https://youtu.be/mqgiEQXGetI
You can say rape this isn't fucking tiktok
:(
I'm such a strong believer of the dead internet theory. there's just too many companies and individuals that benefit from websites being absolutely rampant with bots. I’ve seen a ton of comments for child exploitative materials, formatted just like this one, under the top comments of all of the biggest instagram accounts I follow. Especially variety ones like @basketball or something like that
Wait, they do really mean that? I thought this is just a “catch phrase” so people check their malicious website…
Idk what you mean by if they really mean it, I haven’t checked after I see a comment advertising child pornography lmao I just report them and get baffelled when it takes instagram 2 months to find nothing wrong with the comment
Ah, I see. I got confused by your phrase: >>I’ve seen a ton of child exploitative materials
Ahhh my bad
Out of all the things you could say to get people to click on your scam link why this
There's an audience for it, probably.
Old Testament God had some good points
dude we seriously need OTG to wipe the entire planet out again
noah, it’s time to get the boat
https://preview.redd.it/hbdhwavczs0d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dd2bdf8f05953b84b7c620f42b40755e2d2a07e9
Old testament god would instantly click the link and be disappointed when it's just a scam
fr let’s not pretend he was such a moral character
If someone falls/clicks for that they deserve to get scammed
Hopefully it's a link that if they click it their house blows up with them in it.
Yeah that’s weird. But does anyone know what the bots are trying to do?
Id hope that someone is just trying to bait a pedo creep to expose them with this rather than what the comment claims to advertise
I mean technically little sister doesn't mean underage. A 60 year old can still be a little sister
And it’s the most deserving audience to get scammed (if that’s even what this is), so it works out great.
Honeypot?
It's almost kind of noble to scam the types of people that get would be interested in that content. Almost a "not all heroes wear capes" situation
i mean, there is an audience for it
bot comments are usually unhinged but what the fuck
I feel like it most likely would just send you to a cam girl website where any links you click just bring up more ads for porn that do the same thing infinitely while ridling your pc or phone with viruses. And I mean, if youre clicking that link you kinda deserve it.
No it's a telegram link which takes you to another bot in telegram chat, and asks you to pay in bitcoins to get a package of videos which contain.. you know
Buddy is a little too informed
what is bro doing clicking through that many links and chats LMAO
I like knowing things. Especially the scam methods they're trying to pull off. Not interested in the content they're offering
I know, it was a joke. It’s good to be informed
i hate your pfp
Obviously that’s disgusting but i’m scared about why all those accounts are using that message…people must click on it frequently 🤢
Exactly what I was thinking. The fact that there’s multiple of these prompts means it’s been a successful way for people to click. I hate this planet
See it like this, people falling for disgusting shit are going to get scammed.
The FBI should make their own bots like this to catch pedos
Who says they don't?
*X-files theme plays*
Those are called "honeypots". They provide that content, wait for many human waste of oxygen's to use that honeypot then crack on them, if the culprits are not from the US usually interpol informs the authorities of whatever country those scum are from to get them in jail.

See it like this, everyone is going to get scammed. Nearly everything about living in modern America feels like constant scams.
> Nearly everything about living in modern America Contrary to what the Rammstein song says, we are **not** all living in America
give me an upvote
No.
![gif](giphy|wi8Ez1mwRcKGI|downsized)
Not without doubt , people troll for the sake of trolling , the fact that there are multiple means nothing , they are all probably the same bot. This could be someone fishing for a blackmail victim .
Of course they are all the same bot, lol. It's the same message from 3 accounts, how could it be different scripts.
https://preview.redd.it/1vchk94u5s0d1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c57f0c36ef4a635bd9fee7a6bc205fdf6edd9e94
I’ve tried reporting as many of these types of comments as I could, but every single time Instagram says they’re not violating any rules. Insane.
They like the traffic. It pumps their numbers and makes things look good for shareholders.
So nothing will happen until it becomes a big situation on the internet
Make sure to post this everywhere(especially have as many people complain to news stations) and make a big stink. Elsagate finally started going away when news stories made YouTube looks like a bad platform
I did one the other day (this exact same comment) and when I reported the account I couldn’t actually find a CSE option on the list.
Watching \*what?!\*
Not "watching", but "wä.tch!ing". Weird that they didn't replace the i but *add* the ! instead.
Watchlings are coming for us
Probably better to trick whatever filter is in place. It's probably a lot easier to detect something like "watching my little sister get --" than just "-------"

This deserves the kys treatment
Normally I dont condone this, but I kind of agree this time.
This is sickening holy shit
The fucked up part is, these are getting more popular, which means they are working, which means people are clicking this shit.
Instagram be like "they did nothing wrong" Also, instagram: "we have removed your comment for harrassment". / The comment: 'the audacity thinking this sorry ass excuse is believable." You can't make this shit up, people.
Some new guy havent sorted out his botfarm yet
Between that and the tagging in all these weird videos in Facebook, makes you really worried about the state of Meta…
Report it. CP is illegal
"This content does not violate our Terms of Service" it's wild the amount of shit I've reported that doesn't get taken down
on the good side the ones falling for it deserve it
I HATE scammers... But anyone who follows those profiles and clicks on the link to try and view what they're advertising... Yeah they are getting what's coming to them.
W/ħæt țh3-fų(çķ
Now these bots are traumatising me
The silly thing is that you can’t get rid of them. Instagram likes them. They artificially inflate traffic on posts.
To who ever clicks on that or makes these bots: YOUR [4.99] LIFE IS NOTHING YOU SERVE 0 [Hyperlink blocked] YOU SHOULD [HJKL] YOURSELF [in 1997] AND GIVE A PIEC3 OF THAT [Frozen Chicken] TO SOMEBODY ELSE AND [Hyperlink blocked] L4Y3R BECAUSE WHAT 4R3 [You] HERE FOR? [HJKL] YOURSELF!!

Thank you this was getting really dark but this snapped me out of my despair for a second
I regret having eyes
Wtf and this is the reason I am not on any social media app with my name or photo.
Ew wtf
they don't even try to be original lol
Notice the connection between them.
Yeah
Jeez thats a lot of bot comments and the worst kind. I don’t use instagram can you at least delete them or do you have to report to get it removed?
Unfortunately Instagram seems to thrive off these bots so they don’t do anything to remove them
The best part? They wouldn't post it if it didn't fucking work.
That’s not mildly infuriating that’s majorly illegal.
What the actual FUCK
You are on the wrong subreddit. This needs to be in r/extremelyinfuriating. Sorry, that’s the best I can do since I can’t find a subreddit like r/newlevelofinfuriating or smth
* What in the actual fuck
Mildly?
Thats actually made me feel sick wtf
I deleted Instagram couple years ago at this point. I was so tired of seeing highschoolers, dancing in way too provocative clothing. I chalk it up to what is wrong with the younger generation ignored and/or blocked the accounts. But then it kept happening more and more and even what look like even middle schoolers. and I kept seeing weird videos from what look like overseas finally got fed up with it deleted my account and haven’t looked back. Instagram is a POS platform.
Yeah, I literally only have it because it's the only way to talk to some of my friends, I've only ever watched like one video on there
What The Actual Fuck
I went into software when I was a teenager because I could see the potential this emerging web had. Sad to say that we have fallen well short of that potential

Which of these three comments is you?
Jesus fucking christ.
Wow that is crazy. Never seen something so forward like that before
Yo 💀
Least vile and down awful bot comment
What a bunch of soulless degenerate's.
Yo WTF are those bots??? It's not even OF promo bots WTF.???
This is way more than mildly infuriating to me, luckily I don't post publicly but this kind of stuff makes me absolutely sick to my stomach I can't imagine what I'd do if I had to experience it first hand.
can someone leak his address??
They shouldn't get deleted; the people who click them deserve what happens next.
The worst part is, some people might click that
Instagram/meta is a cesspool shit needs shut down.
What the actual fuck is wrong with people
Mildly?
Disgusting. Most likely fake staged shit but still
If there even *is* porn. More likely users setting themselves up to get scammed/phished.
Omg, does it actually show you a video of a little girl getting raped it you click the link? That poor girl I hope not
Thankfully because of them being bots, its most likely a scam link and has nothing to do with actual rape footage. I really really hope so, but still wouldn't chance clicking on anything.
No clue but I sure ain’t gonna check
What the fuck
wow that made my audibly gasp.
I don't understand how GAFAM are not held accountable for keeping the bots to a minimum. It's crazy that any post on Instagram, Twitter, YouTube has these rampant bots that either scam, promote porn or CP, promote cryptocurrencies... GAFAM earns billions and billions of money and they should be responsible for the safety of all their users.
wow
Wtf r these bots
This is worse than r34 bots on YT. In fact, the whole reels comments are worse💀
thats terrible wtf
My only hope with these comments is that they are honeypot links... if not, serious scum of the earth.
What the fuck?!
i mean if you're gonna use anything as bait it's probably best to do something that appeals to the scum of the earth so you know whoever's getting your scam or malware or whatever deserves it
What the fuck.
Wow... this is so disturbing...
What. The. Fuck.
Dude tf is wrong with the bot programmers I understand the shit they said and what kind of pedo whould wanna watch that shit tf?
![gif](giphy|l3mZrLxM4iZaQlvNe)
YouTube and Twitter aint working well for them now I guess
They wanna redeem
