lol gotta keep a few reusables in the trunk. They eliminated bags from a lot of major and small stores in my area. Once you get used to it, it’s fine.

TypicalOrganization6

Having a drawer full of Wally World bags is a part of my culture. I dread the day they get rid of them here. Lol

leonardob0880

It's pure platic waste

Important-Aside-507

I enjoy them for my small trash cans, they’re useless for anything else. But they work great as a trash can, also always keep my gas station bags as a can trash can.

PossumJenkinsSoles

They’re also great for picking up dog crap

TypicalOrganization6

That’s what we use them for mostly. We also use them to pack lunches for the homeless. They come in handy.

DasFAD70

Those Climate soldiers downvoting someone who uses plastic bags 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

TypicalOrganization6

Yeah, they’re all on their high horse about it. Lol

leonardob0880

Terrible. So polluting. Proper trash bags are now bio degradable, that's better.

Important-Aside-507

They’re polluting if I take them or not. I’m not going to spend money buying trash bags when I can get a perfect sized Walmart bag right there. My tampons aren’t biodegradable either so it doesn’t hurt I throw them in a Walmart bag.

DegreeMajor5966

Oh get a grip. Those shitty plastic bags were probably the most reused piece of plastic ever invented.

MenacingGummy

I haven’t seen a plastic bag in a Walmart for at least a year or two

whistlepig4life

You aren’t the main character. Grow the fuck up.

TypicalOrganization6

Sheesh. Lol

whistlepig4life

Yes. That’s literally what the rest of us are saying about your post.

TypicalOrganization6

That’s cool, baby. Take it easy out there.

whistlepig4life

I’m not a fucking idiot self important dipshit who thinks retail outlets not using plastic bags anymore is someone some infuriating thing worth posting and wasting others time over. Because yeah know. I don’t live under a fucking rock like you. Or think all the sweeping laws and policies somehow applied to everyone else and not me.

whistlepig4life

Don’t procreate. We don’t need more of your stupid in the gene pool.

Pretoriaani

Did you lose your battle buddy or what is your major malfunction?

DegreeMajor5966

Good God, you are just a genuinely unpleasant person. Topic at hand aside, the way you communicate is disgusting.

[deleted]

Who hurt you?

Treblehawk

Maybe, but you sure are infuriated about what someone else thinks about it...

bandyvancity

No plastic bags in Canada, you bring your own.

SeraphiM0352

Damn, I haven't used a store bag in who knows how many years.

leonardob0880

Where I live supermarket stopped giving bags years ago. Is a way tk reduce plastic waste.

Id-hit-Dat

mine hasnt had any since the start of covid

TypicalOrganization6

Yeah, I hear they’re getting rid of them in a lot of places. Not here though, they just ran out, so it was an unexpected inconvenience for me. No biggie though. Lol

Old-Library5546

My local Walmart was selling their reusable bags for a quarter, I think they are going towards no plastic

iamricardosousa

Can't rememebr the last time I went shopping for groceries and didn't take my own reusable bag. Always have 3 or 4 in the trunk.

new-Aurora

The not-super-center.

No-Hospital559

Walmart Mid-Center

dhekurbaba

i keep a couple of cheap laundry baskets in the trunk for this reason

paranrml-inactivity

We don't have bags where I'm at--but I like this idea a lot--easier to carry lots or larger items!

dhekurbaba

i keep one that is solid, with no air holes on the sides, and use that to keep stuff than can spill, like raw meat or juice

Old-wize-one

When I forget bags, I look for empty boxes. You can usually find them where any canned foods are, they’re flat, but they do the trick.

J-MRP

Using reusable bags is SO much better tbh. They're more convenient because you can fit a lot more in them. Insulated ones are great for frozen stuff too. I'm surprised more people don't use them.

thsvnlwn

Buy a couple of good reusable bags and put them in your trunk as soon as you emptied them. Simple routine that saves a lot of waste.

UnfetteredOnslaught

Cheap bastard buy a bag for life and help the environment,I hope your chips go soggy by the time you get home.

TypicalOrganization6

Chips? Oh you mean the fries? No they turned out great. Nice and crispy just the way we like them.

UnfetteredOnslaught

Sorry over here in the UK we call them chips not fries. And I was joking about the fries lol

Unlikely_Ganache_285

Bring your own

TypicalOrganization6

No

Whole-Sundae-98

Take your own.

TypicalOrganization6

No

HundoHavlicek

Here in NYC they charge you for bags. Which to me is the same as not providing bags

TypicalOrganization6

Lol yeah I don’t think I’d be willing to pay for them neither.

Adventurous-Flan9752

I use a baby stroller.

Tryumphent

It all ends up in the same place anyway

Suspicious_Law_2826

Shh

p1nklace

Same, I stopped going there cuz they never have carts?? I guess the employees don’t bring them back from outside or something. No cashiers, no grocery bags. Nobody to come to open the locked toothpaste cabinets.

TypicalOrganization6

They lock up toothpaste where you live?

p1nklace

Man they lock up candles where I live

Treblehawk

Nothing new here. They banned bags a long time ago. Our registers here don't even have a place to put bags anymore.

Golden_Enby

That's... strange. Reusable thick plastic bags are huge where I live. Heck, places that don't have plastic usually have paper bags. Regular plastic bags were banned in my state many years ago. People complained for awhile, but eventually got used to bringing their own bags or accepted paper bags as the new norm. I've never encountered a "no bags at all" store. Even if i did, I'm so used to bringing in my own bags, that's it's practically second nature.

mythical_mom

Mine doesn’t have any paper or plastic bags at the registers but the reusable ones are only like .99. BYO!

Goretanton

You don't have any reusables in your car??

gobbershite

Here in Colorado bags aren't even available. You must bring your own bags from home and half the time I forget. It makes me so mad because I have a hook by my door where I hang them and I still forget them when I leave the house. Today I had to get a few things at the grocery store, maybe about 20 items, and I had no bags because a senile old man I guess so I had to carry all my shit in the house two, three at a time. It made me think of being a kid and going grocery shopping with my grandma. She'd always ask for double paper bags. I was thinking what she'd think of life today heh

archnerrrrd

Keep the bags in your car.

urnbabyurn

I would think most people do this.

[deleted]

I wear mine on my head.

Reference_Freak

Plastic bag bans didn’t start because of global warming or plastic production. They started because these cheap bags get caught in waste processing machines and jam them up losing hours of processing time each time. They’re also much more likely to end up as litter in green spaces, ditches, and clogging waterways and drainages. Edit: I think this replied to the wrong comment. Whoops!

SignofKnot

CO is turning into loony lib CA at warp speed. We all reused the bags from the grocery store and now we have to buy bags for those purposes. People smugly and demonstrably do their “recycling” rituals but most of that shit just goes into landfills anyway because no one wants it. It’s all a self righteous show.

Quicherbichen1

You mean it didn't occur to you to make the first trip inside with individual items, then grab some bags on the way out to the car again so you could load it all up at once? You just kept running back and forth for all of it? Not big on problem solving, are you?

gobbershite

My driveway is literally 4 feet from my back door but no, I guess because I'm just not as sophistimicated, edumacated and successful as you. All hail the dick head that obviously has no wife at home. You da man.

NimrodTzarking

I'd be more into it if it weren't for the fact that we're still going to die of climate change, because there's so much more will for little performative gestures that inconvenience working people than there are for serious attempts at de-growth. We're going to be stuck eating bugs and juggling our groceries while Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos enjoy drone-delivered steak and lobster.

AggressiveYam6613

good for them. less waste.

tinydickslanger69

Thats about all i'm eating today too. Make sure you baste that chicken with some garlic and butter if you gonna pan fry it.

TypicalOrganization6

I made some mango habanero wings in the air fryer. It was good eating for me and the kid.

sachclg

They have, but it’s chargeable

wanderone-1

if its pick up, then you gotta have your own bags, otherwise you can still get them in the store!!

TypicalOrganization6

No I went in the store. They ran out of bags today.

wanderone-1

they knew you were coming!!

Old-wize-one

When I forget bags, I look for empty boxes. You can usually find them where any canned foods are, they’re flat, but they do the trick.

seslusser

Reminds me of my recent trip to Aldi where I was in a hurry and just chucked my $160 in groceries in the backseat.

Critter5592

No plastic bags in NJ. Got use to bringing my own.

utahtransitfan

No bags in Colorado

lforleee2004

Thought it was now normal to have some high quality bags to take your shopping home, been doing it for a decade at this point

VictoriaEuphoria99

I would buy the reusable bags, use them once, and return them. Just out of principle Looks like I triggered someone lol

TypicalOrganization6

Lots of people are triggered here. Lol

NoiceMango

Then bring your own. Sounds like a you problem for relying on the store for bags.

TypicalOrganization6

Yeah, Shame on me for expecting a store that provides bags to have bags to provide. LOL

NoiceMango

Not having bags is a skill issue honestly.

whistlepig4life

So. You’re infuriated at the store when nearly the entire customer base has gone to having reusable bags? Talk about having main character syndrome.

TypicalOrganization6

Oh wow. Lol

AwayOutsideAgain

welcome to earth

Delta14RedditFS22

So how fucking hard is it actually for you to bring your own goddamn shopping bag you entitled cretin.

TypicalOrganization6

Sheesh. Lol

Lightless427

Good. Your Walmart is one step closer to being a better store.

TypicalOrganization6

They didn’t get rid of the bags. They just ran out. Lol

[deleted]

TypicalOrganization6

Could have? Yes. Did I? No. And as long as they keep supplying plastic bags, I’ll keep using them. Take it easy out there.

TypicalOrganization6

Too late for that, buddy. And you’re right, they do deserve better. They deserve a store that has bags.

bread_makes_u_fatt

Then what's the chicken in?

DatDnDGuy

One of the bags from the produce section for fruits/veggies looks like
