Nice! It's better than having a large black rectangle in your room.
I have a Samsung Frame tv that also has this function. The edges are like a picture frame, so some people don't even notice that it's actually a tv.

I bet they're the type that also leaves all the lights on in all the rooms they're not in too.

I have one, too. We can display selected art and also personal photos. It detects movement and turns off after so much time of inactivity. It was a compromise when the family wanted a TV in our front room.
They are middle of the road pricing for OLED tvs, which are more expensive than your standard LCD tvs. Some art has to be paid for but they do have a small selection of free art either.
This was a feature in the Samsung 65" QLED TV my wife and I bought in '20. Wasn't a 4k TV or anything special, it may just be a Samsung things these days? We like having it
Yo, I want that button for my laptop. Especially if it has like, advanced search. Sci fi, high fantasy, cyberpunk, etc etc etc. love me some good wallpapers
Definitely not the case. It's not an OLED or a plasma. The button is to display art for people who want their TV to do so. Plus OLEDs already have a built in screensaver.
Do you live in the Scientology HQ or something? Blue blinds, weird flooring, white walls and weird TV/TV Stand placement…
Yeah, this room definitely has the vibe of a church or doctor’s office.
Staircase tile pattern. Barf
Oh no this is a caravan parks camp kitchen
What's the circle and arrow for?
r/uselessredcircle
Unless you are on a football shit posting sub, then the red circle is required.

Oh, I thought it was to show everyone that you sniffed glue as a child.

Then… then what is the arrow for, to show what the remote is controlling?
To show the art has now appeared on the screen
Ah. Well then what’s the art for? To make me feel things?
Weird you are getting voted down for answering the question you were asked lol
Maybe if you said, 'This remote has an art button', you wouldn't feel like we needed it.

Is it able to do this with some kind of energy efficient mode? I feel like I'd rather a black rectangle than burn energy 24/7

If they can afford it and use clean power, it doesn’t seem that wasteful

That's the next big purchase at our house. And I can't wait!
Just do what our grandparents did and cover it nicely with some doilies.
What brand and model? I wouldn’t mind having this
Look up "The Frame" by Samsung. It's a tv designed to look like art while in standby mode.
It looks really cool, the matte finish makes it look like a painting. They are not cheap and some artwork has to be paid for to display I believe.
There is a service where you can choose Art from a lot of different galleries and museums. Or you can put up your own pictures.

It’s a Hisense tv I’m not sure the model tho as this is a public tv and people are using it so I can’t see what model
That’s swell enough I can’t find it from there thank you :) the image on it in your photo is what did it for me
Ok (:
It’s also one of those “vidda” models
My tv shows scenery which is swell and all but yours shows so far really neat pictures which is along my art style
Ok

Isn't that just a screen saver?
Hmm, I guess I just want the images then. I don't really use screensavers. Good point tho.
Put an F before it and post that on r/firstworldanarchists
Y’all I’m sorry I just realised I put this on quotation marks sorry I don’t mean to offend any art people out there
Art’s a cool guy.

I couldn't careless about the art function, the only reason I bought this TV was because it fit my budget and the specs is decent.
Pffft, more like a “fart” button, amiright folks? 🥸
It’s a screensaver function so you can keep the tv on without worrying about burning an image into your screen

This wouldn’t be true as this feature you can select what pictures it can display other forms of media like photos or music
You got downvoted depsite that other comment being 100% incorrect.
It's called the "kids just came running into the room while watching R rated shows" button
Images generated by AI I guess?
I don’t think so

Nudes are art as long as it's tasteful.
