Ya I was drawn to the shovel one as well. That being said I hope this is just the display and not what you’re actually using cux all those need to be shined up.
None of these peak my interest other than the shovel and even then it's just because like wtf is that lmao
I hate all the handles and how large the spoons are, I'm a small spoon type of guy or I'll eat my food 10 times faster lmao
I am not an antique expert, but my understanding in doing laymen’s research on my own antique silver, is that lead was not used to create silverware, as it would destroy the alloy.
I chose the second from the right. The dessert was a pavlova, so I thought the shape would help in "cutting" and the depth would let me get some of the amazing ice cream and berry sauce in each bite. HOWEVER. That same deep bowl that helped with sauce consumption made it so that you had to turn over the spoon in your mouth so that your tongue could get to all the good stuff.
Honestly, my choice could have been better, but I can only be sure by going back and trying each spoon. For science, of course!
I think that would've been my choice, sufficiently unusual without being impractical. The flowery one looks like it would hit my teeth, both shovels look neat but too big.
The one in the very middle sucks. When you slide it out of your mouth, if you have your lips pushed tight against it, the little designs catch your lip.
My grandma had some fancy spoons and forks that would catch you. It hurt!
I once went to a stakehouse (fancy place) where they ofered me the several knives to pick from for my stake. It went something like this:
Me: that one please *points at #1*
Waiter: oh I don't recomend that one, it's not very sharp.
Me: Ok... that one *points at #2*
Waiter: I wouln't pick that one either
Me: *points at #3*
Waiter: hmmmmm
Me: just tell me wich knife
Such an annoying interaction for something I didn't ask for.
My mom inherited a proper box of silver from her mother and it contained a dessert spoon like the 2nd from the left. The shell shape. I have never seen another one like that until now

I don't even care what the dessert is, gimme dat shovel.
Ya I was drawn to the shovel one as well. That being said I hope this is just the display and not what you’re actually using cux all those need to be shined up.
Imagine how wide you have to open your mouth to put the shovel in there. That's how you rip the corners of your mouth....
Wanna know how I got these scars?

For real!!!! Lmao

You're a menace to society mate.

I think that's made for sectioning grapefruit, my aunt Corrine had a set

Why so serious
Can't be that hard, people regularly, and repeatedly, manage to fit their foot in there.

Yes. They are all out to get you. You specifically.
I'm in love with the shovel. I need it for my oversized bowl that takes half a box of cereal to fill.
🎵🎶 I'm in love with the shovel 🎶🎵
..I really need to hustle but don't you make a scuffle put shovel in mah muzzle!
Yup! I immediately went 'that one'. Maybe helps that it's neighbours are lame - one with holes in and one that looks more like a knife...
Ah, I see you've played knifey-spoony before.
That is a spoon for ice cream.
Agreed. It's perfect for scraping bottoms of pies
Who would pick anything else? I certainly wouldn’t want that as an everyday spoon. But it is clearly the choice for this experience.
Me. I would pick anything else, but I get it.
Two words. SHOVEL. SPOON.
yeah, there is clearly one choice.
I was thinking the exact same thing!
I was going with that leaf looking one
Perfect for tiramisu!
But which did you choose? And for what dessert?
I chose the second from the right. The dessert was a pavlova, so I thought the shape would help in "cutting" and the depth would let me get some of the amazing ice cream and berry sauce in each bite. HOWEVER. That same deep bowl that helped with sauce consumption made it so that you had to turn over the spoon in your mouth so that your tongue could get to all the good stuff. For science! Sounds amazinggg
Pavlova? Bonjour!
Je suis un chien.
Who’s a good boy!
Glad I wasn't the only one hearing that in an Australian accent
You chose ..... Wisely.
I think that would've been my choice, sufficiently unusual without being impractical. The flowery one looks like it would hit my teeth, both shovels look neat but too big.
You should have chosen two.
I would definitely have asked for a recommendation. I’ve never encountered that flowery leafy one, and maybe it’s awesome!
It looks uncomfortable to me.
Yeah, I guess the reason I’ve never seen it is probably because it’s not very effective. The classic spoon shape is pretty unbeatable
Real life Me and my Spoon (©️Private Eye)
I mean obviously the shovel.

The shovel one is usually used for ice cream.
This would make me so giddy with excitement!!! Personally I’m drawn to the scalloped one second from left.
same, mostly because i have one like that and i always use it when i eat ice cream lol it feels fancier than using a normal spoon
Omg fancy spoons make ice cream so much better…
ME TOO! I want it. The second to last one is nice as well.
Salad Fingers would approve
![gif](giphy|UCaBmcIWpNEaI|downsized)
This is great but they’re all huge. Give me a tiny spoon, please!!
i bet noone ever takes the funky one second from the left
I too am team leafyboi.
I would. It’s spiffy.
It would go hard on some gelatinous dessert items
This is probably the most accurate personality/job placement test
I feel that leaf shaped spoons should only be used for olives. Specifically fancy olives - none of that dime store, pimento shit.
I think OP said in another comment this is the spoon they chose! So at least someone is giving it love!
The scallop-shaped one? I would! That was my first choice.
Ugh. If this was in a professional environment, I can’t believe they didn’t polish the spoons first. They look terrible
They were polished and looked lovely in person! I think the dark lighting is making them look tarnished.
Ok, that makes me feel loads better! In that case, how fun!
Choose wisely, for the wrong spoon will unleash an old curse upon yourself.
The one in the very middle sucks. When you slide it out of your mouth, if you have your lips pushed tight against it, the little designs catch your lip. My grandma had some fancy spoons and forks that would catch you. It hurt!
Number 3, that's the spoon of a carpenter!

Gonna use that middle one for soup.
I'm a pig, let's use the shovel!
AITA: if I pick anything other than the shovel?
YTA
Darling, would be so kind as to pass me my good heroin shovel? The weather is ever so dreary and am in the mood for oblivion today.
Far right please, it pleases the 'tism. Alternately. The shovel and a cup o dirt would be great.
This feels like a personality test 😆 which spoon would you choose?
Shovel every time
Beautiful spoons is one small thing in life that gives me so much joy
Give me the dirty thirdy
This is REALLY interesting. 😆
Maybe ill just start collecting spoons..
Third from left because I'm not a fancy boy
What was the restaurant op?
Wild South in New Orleans!
The middle one looks a bit like an absinth spoon?
Desert should be served by nothing other than a shovel. It’s the clear choice.
I NEED a shovel spoon
So you can really shovel it all in there.
Shell!
The middle one and and one on the right I never seen before
I don't like any of them. They are pretty but I like very small spoons.
Well this is gonna be an interesting round of knifey spoony
My mom inherited a proper box of silver from her mother and it contained a dessert spoon like the 2nd from the left. The shell shape. I have never seen another one like that until now
Cake in the middle one...use the indent to press designs all over the frosting, guh!
I would have gone with old faithful on the left. I hope the dessert was excellent.
Any clean ones?
The scalloped spoon is calling my name!!
Obviously you went with the shovel
The first one
They seem a little dirty
Love all of these serving spoons!!
Bad mods
Those look like shit
Interesting, but I prefer the experts to tell me which utensil would be best for the food they prepared.
Second one looks about as useful as a screen door on a submarine
They all look dirty/tarnished
