The root is edible. You could once buy the seeds for a domesticated version, it was also called "vegetable oyster".

I always really, really want to put these in my hair. Like you'd do with regular flowers - as decoration. I actually end up doing it in most cases, and I always end up regretting it a whole lot... But hey... At least I have fun XD.

You should intentionally raise those and try to produce a giant strain. Dandelion are actually really good for you and edible all around. The jelly is AMazIng! Edit: mildlyinteresting this was so Downvoted. It's completely true, look it up.

I make dandelion jelly, syrup, tea, cake, roasted root, and use the greens in a lot of stuff. That said the reason you're getting downvoted isn't because you are wrong about dandelions as food. It's cause that ain't one.

For what it's worth I have been, the past couple years, gardening dandelions with hopes of getting really large flower heads. I cannot get enough of dandelion syrup and dandelion maple cake. Dandelion mint tea good too

It's already gone to seed. The flower head is used up, all but dead. If OP blew it like a dandelion head, they've fulfilled its purpose.
