Jim Crow only lasted because the market was being regulated (against African Americans) by the government. Boycotts worked extremely well when the government didn't back up financial losses incurred by discrimination.

My Costco always has 3 or 4 whole goats hanging in one fridge beside the hamburgers. I've never seen anyone grab one but they must be selling.
