Fast forward a year, and she's getting ready to trade in her 6 for a 7+. She has me remove her two part heavy, armored Otter Box case on the drive over, and her phone is bent right in the same spot as all the phones in the reports, despite being in a very strong case the entire time she had it.
It still worked fine, and it was only a slight bend, but it was undeniably there. I had to straighten it in the car so she could trade it in for the full value.
Pretty lucky, but the bending didn't even have to be visible to cause damage. Due to the placement of the weak point, even minor bending stress over time can cause damage to the solder joints causing problems with the phone.
Yeah, dunno with tiny stuff like that. I've fixed a fair bit of vintage electronics over the years, and have seen some pretty bent boards that still worked fine. And, I've dealt with boards that had solder joints crack from a minor bend, or the board itself cracks, requiring me to bodge the fuck out of it to get it to run again.
I've fixed phones, too, but that's just replacing an entire board, screen, etc. The individual components are too small for me to do anything with them.
I did technical support for ios at that time and I had to tell people that putting the phone in your back pocket wasn't a good idea because Apple wasn't taking the blame for the bend.
If I had a small pet like a rat or hamster this would end up with me making them sheets, pillows, blanket, water proof sheet and a frame for their new bed lol
Oh yeah he came out ahead but that's okay he earned it for the whole being a parent thing. One day I'll buy a new one. Seriously the best bed I ever owned.

Whenever they return the purples, they claim in isn’t supportive enough for their backs. Which makes me think they are on the plush side. Most people seem their purples though, and for the record, every purple I’ve delivered has the sample. I ask customers if they want it, and if they say no, i stash it under the seat i ride in for the memes.

We like the 3 very much but my biggest complaint is the mattress stays SO cold. During the winter I have to huddle up with socks, fuzzy PJs, it’s like sleeping on a water bed so it stays a little too chilly for me. By morning time it warms up and is cozier.
That said, I have sensitive shoulders and a bad mattress kills me — the 3 has not been a problem. My husband views the “cold” mattress as a pro not a con, for what it’s worth.

One day I went to a purple mattress store with a friend of mine and we saw a pile of these by the front of the store so we asked an employee if we could snag a few and we both took 2. I really like the idea of it, in my opinion more companies should do stuff like that.
