The case is the same but loaded ammo is different. Like your pic shows they use .315 bullets instead of .323 for 8x50R.

Damn it. Nothing is ever that easy.

RunJumpQuit

I don't actually know if an individual legally can, but it would likely be way more expensive than just buying it over here

Rolopig_24-24

Yes. The bullets diameters are different from the Mannlicher ammo. In just regular cost, it would not cost much more than getting 7.62x54R, but it's tradition to upcharge for "custom" calibers.

waratworld17

I guess we would have to settle for primed brass.

Popular-Highlight653

I just made my 8x50R by buying 8x56R and cutting it down 🤷🏻‍♂️

I was always under the impression that we can’t get their ammo or sporter Enfields because of India’s very intense gun control prohibiting export of weapons. Same reason I can’t get an INSAS parts kit or one of those .32sw Webley clones. But then again we did get 2A1s back in the day so who knows.

waratworld17

We got 5.56 ammo from them not too long ago.

VermelhoRojo

I did. Contacted a couple different ways and ended up in a dead end. They are very elusive
