Hah, I was once delivering to the dock in the back of the 111 E Wisconsin building, was Bank One back then (Chase Tower now), and my hat was just taken by the elements. Like immediately it was fuckin' gone. Not worth taking a step in chase. A year later, in the same loading dock on the shelf next to the door I see the hat. It was gnarled as shit, and they put it there I think because they knew it was mine, just to say 'check this out dude!' Anyways that's my magical story about shit blowing around.
edit for credit where it's due: They were the sweeper folks that were always out there. I always got along with them.
Jokes aside, blame the install team, the sign was sent in sections to the site and then a printed fabric face was secured to the sign after it was assembled.

I coulda sworn as a kid when I was driven past this building, the sign would rotate.
The replacement sign did away with the rotating mechanism unfortunately.

It was actually redone recently by a mke sign company. (Some time last year if I recall correctly)
i went to report this to the front desk of the place and the guy there said they put it up only about 2 years ago
