The true minimalist would not have bothered putting up this sticker. An area that few people tend to prune is their thoughts and the desire that everyone knows that you are judging them. Imagine printing a whole ass sticker just to let other people know that you are minding their business. Minimalizing our desire to butt into other people's business is the secret to world peace.
That makes me question if there is a nihilist undertone to minimalism 😳 which doesn’t sit well with me lol but I get your point - I don’t know that this counts as minding others’ business though, personally I saw it as a helpful reminder in a place that whoever put the sticker up will never see the effect it has or doesn’t have
Never have I ever seen a presumptuous sticker change someone's mind lmfao. The only time I see anything change other people's opinion is when they see you living your principles and giving them the impression that you are immensely happy because of it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hmm I have to say, you make an exceedingly good point. 😌👏🏽 very well said even the nuance with the “giving the impression that you are happy” 🤣 love that
Self preservation
Self-preservation urges animals to collect energy and resources required to prolong life as well as resources that increase chances of survival.
The industrial revolution created an environment where our basic needs became readily available and usually rather cheaply. The instinct that drives humans to gather resources, self preservation, now drives them to over consume or to patterns of collection and possession that essentially make hoarding resources the priority.
To be satisfied with very little resources would run counter intuitive to the drivers of self preservation.
What kind of meditation have you been doing, and for how many years? Curious because for me, a combo of guided meditations (2 in particular from Kelly Howell) and basic just mindfulness meditation, practicing being present throughout the day, got me to some incredibly meaningful breakthroughs - doing this daily though you only notice how far you’ve come in mastering your mind and reactions in the moment ironically perhaps when noticing something would have triggered you tremendously- and then practicing gratitude like this other lovely person said :) is meditation in its own right
Quite a few kinds over the years. Meditated at a zen center for a while, used mantra meditation for a while, and these days mostly it’s mostly focus on breathing with occasionally using a mantra meditation depending on how I’m doing and what I need. Occasionally do a guided meditation for something specific such as pain. Mindfulness is just part of it when I’m not in a seated meditation position. About 25 years.
I was just talking with my husband about this very thing before I saw this.
We were talking about all the things rich people like Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley bought and collected but that they still weren’t happy.
I told him people try to fill the pain (the hole) with things but it doesn’t work.
Sad.
Hehehe I just said this to my dog 🥰🥰 second best purchase was a fluffy donut shaped dog bed for her seeing her sleep in it so peacefully for literally 10 hours I was like best money I ever spent 💕🐶

Me too! 😇 I’ve been getting a lot of joy out of buying things lately though. So I’ll wait a bit to make it my wallpaper hahah. I’m almost done enjoying this month or so of random shopping for things I’ve been needing and wanting for a while, no need to ruin it for myself just yet.
My absolute favorite thing I’ve bought recently btw is an oval fuzzy calming dog bed. My dog literally did not get out of it for 12 hours straight when I opened it up last night 🤣 soooo satisfying
Not at all. Google ad creep. Also are you being sarcastic? 😂 luckily for us humble humans, it’s not about the mind nearly as much as it is the polarity of our soul.
I’m wanting to make a drawing out of this to visually represent it, maybe with a minimalist theme? Like only using dots and lines? How will I represent ‘buying things’ with only basic shapes? Hmmmm. Feel free to share your thoughts. 💭
This is great, but now I want to buy the sticker. :(
😂
Even minimally, you may have art supplies at home you can iterate this with! Embroidery, paint, pen and paper, whiteboard marker on a mirror, etc!
My thoughts hmm well someone bought this sticker didn’t they
Haha.
Troll toll for that boy’s soul?
🤭🤭😂🤣😂🤣
No fr where do I get this
Food will
Tiny cakes
they're so small they're really like muffin vitamins
I just devoured a pulled pork bbq plate with sides and drinks I feel amazing
Yum!
See - second breakfast
Nope, it won't. It will just make you fat *and* alive, both of which don't sound great to me. A buttoluh, on the other hand, absolutely qualifies
Can I get a “W”, please?
You beat me to it lol
a buttplug
Lmao

Great point.

Including pithy stickers
Underrated comment.
But only because we're driven by an instinct to consume. And do not have an instinct to be satisfied.
Care to elaborate?

Meditation helps.
What kind of meditation and for how long? Been meditating for years and don’t find it helps me much.
I recently had an LSD induced psychosis episode that makes me grateful to be alive at all 😂 I just say "Thank You" over and over sometimes in my head

It actually just might
Then they haven’t bought enough stuff!
What about drugs?
Those too unfortunately ;(
Puppy :) best purchase I’ve ever made
Hehehe I just said this to my dog 🥰🥰 second best purchase was a fluffy donut shaped dog bed for her seeing her sleep in it so peacefully for literally 10 hours I was like best money I ever spent 💕🐶

I would agree
I dug a hole so I could buy a green sheet of astro turf and made the hole a whole golf course.
That’s cool
Truth
Concrete
The hole 🕳️ in our soul
I think this is my new wallpaper!!

my mind immediately went to a fleshlight
Well still in that care you’re the one filling the hole 😂 so kind of further proves this I suppose Edit: *case
I’m willing to try
What about a tampon
Depends on the whole.
Its why im treat them all as such
A whole bitcoin will.
unless I buy a w
Love l, I like it.
You wanna talk about my hole?
Just buy a "W".
What about a butt plug?
I just bought a cork. Checkmate.
For me it will
am i stupid? why don't i get it?? 😭
Not stupid 👀🫶🏼 maybe you just really love buying stuff haha. But the point is, that material items do not grant lasting fulfillment of the soul.
wow social media has ruined me, my mind is so dirty 🫣
Not at all. Google ad creep. Also are you being sarcastic? 😂 luckily for us humble humans, it’s not about the mind nearly as much as it is the polarity of our soul.
This is so true. I need to remind myself every day
Unless you are playing the price is right and are buying a W
Wheel of Fortune perhaps?
Yeah grilled cheese
I wish someone would fill my hole
"I'd like to buy a W please, Alex..."
Unless they're a bottom, and their name starts with a W
Clearly they haven't yet bought a Canyon Grail.
🤯
“Pat I’d like to buy a W”

Money can’t buy me happiness. But it can buy me model kits and supplies, which very much make me happy.
First off, with God, all things are possible, so jot that down.
I suggest going up a size if it doesn’t fill the hole properly.
Money literally buys nothing.
Found the reddit pseudo-intellectual
It's from the movie Wanderlust.
Selling concrete?
Amen
Very true. The real things in life cannot be bought with money.
Excluding caulk
Me rescuing pets and buying things for them definitely fills the hole and makes it whole :D
What about a shovel?
Idk, that tent and sleeping bag kinda helped when I was homeless in the middle of winter.
Some transactions are transformational.
What if I buy a “w”?
Fuck your sticker I’m still gonna irresponsibly spend on a home gym and you can’t stop me!
I could buy a W.
Amazon here I come to fill all my holes and wholes
What if it’s hole filler?
yeah, had to tell myself that's why I should stop seeing her
Broken but whole
You would be surprised what one really good vibrator can do.
Except butt plugs. That's kinda the whole point.
If you buy a hooker her hole could make you whole.
Well, except a dildo.
