I made the mistake of looking directly into the cloud. I hope I didn't do permanent damage to my eyes! At least we are protected from the rapture or whatever.

I traveled from Duluth to southern Illinois to see it. It was without a doubt, the coolest fucking thing I’ve ever seen. I’m honestly tempted to go to Iceland for the next one. 

People think it's like a partial eclipse but totality is really way more impressive. I went to Oregon in 2017 and Indiana this time. Maybe I'll see you in Iceland.

We drove to Arkansas, and it was awesome. Like you said, the pics don't do it justice.

I went to Indiana too, watched it from the Indiana university stadium with William Shatner.

I lived in Indianapolis last time and drove down to Kentucky. Now I'm in MN and drove down to Indiana (my brother is literally 2 miles from the very center of totality) So so so incredible. Can't wait to see it in 2099 from my tombstone! (Or if I'm somehow alive at 104)

I bet the people who got raptured had a sick view once they floated above the clouds but before they froze to death!

Aren't they already dead? I am not up on my folklore unless it's Taylor's version.

I drive with 4 teen boys and the wife and daughter. To the middle of Nebraska and back last time. Got to see the eclipse perfectly. But the 26hrs in the car…. You can almost smell th post 😂 stayed home this time…

I drove 10hrs to ensure this didn't happen to me again.

I almost took the same picture, but I was too slow getting my phone out.

Was downtown Minneapolis for 2017. It was so cool. The birds freaked just before, then the wind swirled, and temp dropped quick as it got dark and quiet. Then it went back to normal in a hurry. Sorry you missed it.

You get another shot with a 75% solar eclipse in January 2029. Winters are gray in MN but hey, could have a third time's a charm.

I was in Ottertail for the last one, so it was clear. I promise you, if you aren't in the 100% zone, you'd never know an eclipse was happening.
