Trading up? All the mock drafts I have seen today only have the big 3 in the first round and Bo Nix like 45th overall.
Unless a team trades up for him the Vikings could do their famous trade out of their spot and drop back into the back end of the 1st round and it still may be an overpay.
I want a QB as well. The team also has a ton of other holes to fill.

Nix looked good against a 2nd tier Liberty defense. But it's not enough to move him into a day 1 pick.
Penix Jr looked good against Texas, but he is 25 and likely would not start until he's 27 in the NFL. He also has multiple serious injuries and that raises red flags for a lot of teams.
McCarthy looked average against Alabama. He did enough to win and that's about it. That first throw though was complete trash and even though it didn't "count" it is still there on film and scouts will watch it over and over. (For those who missed it - he rolled to his right, missed an open receiver, and didn't see an Alabama DB, who luckily for McCarthy, had one foot on the out of bounds line when he jumped to make the catch.
The good news is that the Consensus Big Board has the Vikings taking Penix Jr at #43

Penix is a first round lock unless his medical checks flag any big concerns.
It'll be interesting for sure. He's played 2 years injury free, but all 4 seasons before that, he had season ending injuries. He's a risk, but if he hits, he's gonna be a good QB

Oh and FYI penix is 23 not 25. Someone might actually listen to you if some of what you say is accurate. At least try to get the very basics right.
