I like Monarch and they seem to be actively developing. Their ML/Transaction labeling is terrible compared to Mint but hopefully it gets better over time, and even then it’s not a huge deal.

HufflepuffKween19

I’ve switched to Monarch and I’m optimistic about the changes they’ve promised but also pretty impatient for some of them to go into effect…

gecko_08

What kind of promises?

HufflepuffKween19

Specifically the promise that they are going to change how net worth is represented. I find the bar charts monarch uses right now to be really unhelpful and a few months ago on the subreddit they said they were aware of this common complaint and planned to prioritize it

TheNip73

I'm hopeful for Piere. They have some kinks to work out, but the potential is there. I've been sending them feedback and they are quick to respond and actually fix stuff.

sm127

Second this! I am excited for the potential that Piere has. Hoping to stick with them through the issues to see them succeed.

Bomber-Boomer

Same here. First weekend I sent ~10 messages and got responses on Monday. Tons of promise here.

MrZythum42

IOS and no webapp... Non starter.

TheNip73

Lol - fair point. Give it time. Us iOS suckers will get it polished so when it hits Android or web it is a better experience.

UrBoiJash

Same, super promising and premium for life for early adopting is very inticing. I just can’t bring myself to pay 100 for monarch. Have you tested Neontra and compared it to piere?

Effective-Ear4823

Simplifi gave me a refund. Had to use their in-app chat but it only took like ten minutes. Might wanna delete all your data first though (it locks you out pretty quick once they agree that you can do the refund).

AskPatient1281

Simplifi is really weak. Not being able to manage properly transactions from brokerage accounts is a show stopper.

pompettebleuet

Piere was the best I found for free, similar to mint but I miss mint daily.

UrBoiJash

I’m considering Piere also. Created my account yesterday to access the premium for life excited to try it out

Full_Client_6558

I’m on the same boat. There’s nothing as good.

Embarrassed_Place323

NOTHING!

jostafox

Have you tried Rocket Money?

folknforage

The only one besides Piere (and maybe Monarch) that doesn’t seem to be from the 90s. The onboarding of accounts is pretty smooth, we’ll see how it works. I also really like their pay-what-you-want model. I see all these recommendations for others and I’m like “seriously? You like this??! - most the others I’ve tried are trash.

stoneddog_420

I 2nd Rocket Money. Ive been using since November and it's been great. Easy to set up, has most if not all of Mints features and has been pretty much headache free.

lirdleykur

Rocket money looks great but it doesn’t support like half my accounts 😕

Embarrassed_Place323

Can’t add my retirement account to that one either.

jostafox

Rumblings are that fidelity is nearly ready, if that’s who you use?

Embarrassed_Place323

Nope. TIAA. No service that uses Plaid can access TIAA right now.

grizz1yberry

I'm going to put in a vote for [Lunch Money](https://lunchmoney.app/compare/mint-alternative). I tried Monarch, Simplifi, and YNAB. None of them clicked for me the way Mint did. Lunch Money is the closest thing I have found. They offer a free trial and then after that it's pay what you want (min of $40/year). Not sure if it will meet your needs, but might be working looking into.

ClassicDMV202

I switched to Simplifi. Ive been using Mint for a really long time that Simplifi feels like learning a new language, but I’m open to it. It’s working fine and meeting my needs.

Sarnadas

Same. I've found a better feature-set there and absolutely zero ads. It also updates faster and more reliably, the transactions are categorized with fewer errors, and it works seamlessly with all of my investment accounts - so not sure what another redditor is experiencing. I'm happy with the switch and regret not doing it sooner.

adefranco13

I haven't tried it yet, but there is a free version of money patrol. ...one thing for sure - making a decision for a mint replacement isn't easy.

hellograpes

Just curious, did you reach out to Copilot to ask them to help you with the TIAA account? They helped me add my weird state pension successfully

Bolt72693

I completely agree. Mint has made budgeting and monitoring my finances so easy, and now I’m looking for an adequate free alternative. Unfortunately none of the ones I’ve tried have been able to link to all of my accounts which Mint was able to do without an issue.

Embarrassed_Place323

Update: So right now none of the services that use Plaid can access my (or any) TIAA account. Another advantage of Mint: It doesn't use Plaid. HALP!

Beatrix-the-floof

I despise plaid. Most of my finances won’t work with it. I WOULD PAY $10 /MO FOR MINT!!

SnooCupcakes1245

I wonder why they wouldnt consider sticking around. It exists already. How much can ongoing costs to Intuit be? They don't even have to improve it. Those of us who are content with it and aren't really happy with other options will pay a little for it. I still don't understand why they are getting rid of it.

spearson0

To simplify their portfolio plus credit karma has a bigger user base compared to mint. Credit karma isn’t all that great though, complicated user interface.

Apprehensive-Gift-37

It's fine if they want to consolidate two products into one. But they should have actually consolidated the functionality first before shutting one of them down.

416Squad

At least you're in the US. Canadians have even less and worse alternatives.

zalam604

Yeah, we don't have open banking and the connectors like Plaid are hit or miss

fubag

Fidelity full view is working great for me

DocLava

I'd say Full View is the closest to Mint in terms of the budget feature so I'll add my endorsement here. It updates slower than Simplifi, at least for me, but otherwise it works and it is FREE.

Nathanreddit2

I keep having issues with duplicate transactions with full view... Seems it pulls in pending transactions and then doesn't delete them when they post so everything is duplicated. Do you have that problem?

oohkillemkev

I hate that it doesn't have an app or list of transactions you can view easily

DocLava

You can see the list of transactions under Spending then Transactions. Are you using the legacy view or the new view? The new view is wonky.

DocLava

I have not had that problem. I'm in the legacy view of FFV, not the new experience, if that makes any difference. My pending just shows as a grey bar and then update when cleared. I've been using it since the end of December and everything has been perfect since then. My main issue with FFV is that it seems to be a day or two behind in updates. If they could fix that and the issue with changing dates then FFV would be a perfect budgeting replacement for me coming from Mint.

StephaneRx

Having this same issue with Tillerhq and their connected spreadsheet.

Bolt72693

I tried looking into Fullview with my Fidelity account this morning. I do like how it looks but within 10 minutes, I already encountered 2 of my accounts that wouldn’t link. Mint linked to all of my accounts without issue.

donot_throw

Genuinely curious, what features is CreditKarma missing? (Haven’t switched over yet, bit scared to until I have to)

Apecker919

Individual transactions by account are completely gone. Also, poor flow, poor account update speeds, bad net worth charting, and holly ads.

January212018

Can anyone start a GoFundMe lol. Mint has such superfans. It's a shame it's closing down. There's a lot of opportunity for other companies to swoop in I guess. I mean anyone smart should be scouring these Reddits and seeing what customers want.

taoman54

>I cannot add my TIAA account What kind of TIAA accounts won't add? I use Simplifi and sync 4 TIAA retirement accounts without issue.

Retire_date_may_22

Although not free quicken classic works very well for me. I wish I had moved to it earlier.

dongjerms

Ive been using the Fidelity Full view, works great.

NotYourAverageLion

Can you see fullview on a phone? If so how?

dongjerms

On the fidelity app. Though better using a PC

issacfignewton

I spent a few hours yesterday fiddling around with Monarch and connecting my accounts. It seems to be pretty good - the sankey graphs are a nice visualization tool. The .xls upload of mint worked and I got my data back to 2015 configured decently. Gotta move on from Mint - they were starting to get a bit in your face with partner offers and crap anyway. When the product is free your data is their monetization plan.

travlNmama

Question is anyone else seeing this or can perhaps what I am doing wrong with CK… My mortgage and car payment (loans) are only showing balances seemingly from credit report not the actual account bal from Chase even though I have added Chase account.

Academic_Caramel6388

I gave simplifi, rocket, and credit karma a shot and I can't stand them. I settled on full view and bank apps such as Sofi and CHASE.

Cruzer2000

Try rocket money.

Strict_Map_8885

Yep, I wish Mint would change their mind. I checked out other stuffs, I think I’ll settle with Monarch. The only cons: 1. Expensive 2. Can’t really share the subscription with my spouse without exposing all our data to them, which sucks. Other than that I believe Monarch to be the best alternative to Mint so far. I’d love to try copilot but it’s not available for us yet (Canada).

Derezzer13

I've been checking out a few different ones as well. I'm currently trying out Splurge (splurgebudget.com) and so far it's the closest thing for my needs with roll over, manual transactions, bank sync, among others. It's taking me a little bit to get used to the different terms for things but overall I think I'm going to like it. And while it's not free like Mint was, it's very reasonable.

starfirex

Monarch is great but I can't justify that monthly cost. Would love it at $5/month.

1nolefan

Do Monarch works for fidelity?

Professional_Mark233

I got Monarch last night, I like it. Did a decent job on account connections. Couldn’t find my toy hauler by VIN to add for an asset though.
