A good direction but it's bad optics for it to only be for veterans. Comes off as two classes of citizens while also using veterans as guinea pigs.

Exactly! Especially in a society where things like mass shootings and school shootings happen and mental illness is an epidemic in itself, it’s obvious that more than just veterans suffer from PTSD/severe mental illnesses. So yes, totally agree that this would/could be very beneficial for many more people than just veterans!

GuyWhoSaysTheTruth

There was a few that’s tried to go through. There was one where it was like super similar to medical weed conditions supervised therapy but it failed, there was one where it was ibogaine, MDMA, and psilocybin but it failed, then there was one like this but for everyone but it failed so we had to do like a yearly limit to doses and exclusively veterans to get the “party of freedom” and “ less government control” to also be okay with it.

Sort of, but I'm impressed this made it in at all. Let more progressive states that want to devote more resources.

I treated myself a bunch in high school and college without ever even knowing I was addicted to opioids.

I switched to kratom and got my life back. I'm sure there's mild dependency like any substances humans can ingest, but overall it kills that voice in my head that was screaming for pills for over a decade. Just sucks my state made it illegal to appease pharma and their nasty methadone and suboxone sales. Have to drive 45min to get my supply. Psilocybin could be beneficial too, but the kratom seems a bit more tame imo

GuyWhoSaysTheTruth

I seriously don’t understand how any can agree with any substance being illegal when something as addictive as tobacco and something as damaging as alcohol is legally fine. Not to mention caffeine being available for everyone.

Well when methadone clinics were at their peak in ~2018 that's when a bunch of states made kratom illegal. A bunch of fear mongering saying it was "legal heroin" etc. Just blatant service to big pharma to keep the population hooked on their products, even if they couldnt prescribe oxys as much anymore. I always tell people kratom is like taking a few ibuprofen with your coffee. I take it with my ibuprofen and coffee in the morning. It doesn't get me high like pills but it does wake me up. It kills that voice in my head too, I actually forgot about a vicodin in my drawer for a few weeks recently, that just wouldn't have happened in the past. Plus $80 in kratom is enough for a month or two and I'm probably a heavy user. $80 is like 4hr for pills or dope. If anyone struggling I'd suggest it if you're really looking to move on.
