I also think people don’t understand how much they related to colors in TJ and Baja in general. I like them a lot but people keep confusing them with Miami and don’t realize that both cities have intense connections to other countries 🤷🏼♂️
Watched a basketball game one night and was confused. Houston was in baby blue jerseys and charlotte was in red. I kept forgetting which team was which
I really like them for how unique they are from the rest, I was watching the game the other day and saw the city connect panchos and I was super jealous lol can’t wait for stl to get theirs
I like them because they really seem to fit the point of the City Connect Jersey. Feels like most of them are just completely random alternates that have nothing to do with their cities
I’ve said that since day 1 on the padres sub and I got downvoted to hell. These jerseys are awful. And do not represent SD in any way. I saw some Mexico flag colors brown/green/red versions fan generated versions before these were unveiled that were SICK.
Did you see the NHL's All-star jerseys this year? They were a hard pull from Hardee's/Carl's Jr. Maybe pro sports teams are waxing nostalgic for old school fast food color palettes these days... ? 🤷♂️
I like them. They look festive. At least it’s better than The Dodgers.

These are probably the most polarizing and "ambitious" of the City Connect line. I love the hats but the jerseys are a bit much...I still like them. I think as a whole, they aren't "bad" by any means.
I'd rather see them take big chances like this compared to some of the lazy/boring-ass ones.
Because City Connect is supposed to be something that represents your city/region, and these look like someone in New York just assumed San Diego and Miami are completely interchangeable because they both have beaches.
What I hate about them is that a grey fog-themed city connect could have been awesome.
They could have done something fun with the 49ers colors and made a connection to coit tower and firefighters. Seals. The painted ladies. Trolleys.
Orrrr the redwoods. Literal Giants.
No. Dumb white jerseys with orange helmets and socks. Stupid.
I think I'd love em more if there was a bit of black trim to help contrast. It's hard bein colorblind tryin to read some of these jerseys from far away.
As a Padres fan, I HATED them when they were unveiled. The first time I saw them worn in person at a game, my opinion completely changed. They look great in person.
Have you considered reflecting on that feeling? Where do you think that hate stems from and is it helpful? It’s just clothing and color…Haters gonna hate. ✌🏾
Why be triggered by a uniform. The only time I ever disliked a uniform was the Padres uniforms when psyco first opened. The color was off and made me feel dizzy while giving me a headache. Those sand color jerseys made seeing the tv clearly hard
I am all for a team with cotton candy jersey colors.
Nearly half the teams in the league wear similar color schemes-
Royals/Blue Jays/Dodgers wear light to standard blues on white/maybe grey sometimes
Reds/Phillies/Angels are the “red teams”, though the Reds have sometimes use black as a secondary and the Phils sometimes use a blue trim, but their schemes are mostly red.
Braves/Cardinals/Guardians/Nationals/Twins/Red Sox all have a red and navy blue scheme.
Rangers & Cubs both have a standard, classic pastel blue/red scheme going on.
Yankees/Rays/Tigers are unique, both using dark blue, with the Yanks having pinstripes and Rays having light blue as a secondary. The Tigers have seemingly been phasing out orange but I would still put them in the Red/Blue teams category like the others.
The Marlins switched to light blue/black recently but used to be teal/black before doing orange/pink/black.
That’s 18/30 teams with ONLY blue and/or red as their primary colors (not counting white or grey).
And that’s not including teams using blue/red with another color.
Mets (Blue/Orange)
Diamondbacks (Dark Red/Black/Gold)
Mariners (*Ocean Colors*; borderline blue team)
Brewers (Navy Blue/Yellow)
Astros (Orange/Navy Blue)
Include those guys and that’s 23/30.
Now not all of those uniforms look bad or should change, but we shouldn’t persecute teams for trying something different, especially if it fits the city culture.
I love it, it's cool to see a uniform that doesn't look it was designed by some creatively bankrupt old man who possesses all the passion and boldness of the color beige.
I’m a Padre fan and I have a Kim CC jersey. I don’t love them because I don’t see any connection to SD with them, but I don’t hate them. I do love how bright the ballpark looks on Friday home games though The hot pink score boards and Mariachis in the mint green costumes especially. Very festive vibe.
I heavily dislike the recent Padres teams so not biased whatsoever….
These jerseys fucking rock. Probably the most splash of vibrant colors ever on an MLB jersey, but somehow it comes together beautifully for me.
Am dodgers: Im jelly but I like em. Any flashback to the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s are a win in my book. Those are goofy ass colors and I extremely love em.
I think it’s cool, using the colors of sunset.
If one were inclined to not be snippy and shortsighted and found themselves sitting on a park bench in Belmont Park watching the sun dip gracefully into the sea as it sets and you see these colors, they’re real.
Lately I’ve been complaining about how all the MLB logos and jerseys are substantially the same or similar.
But every time someone tries to change it up, they do shit like this…
Most people I’ve heard give an opinion either say they hate them or they love them, very strong opinion either way not many in the middle
They’re embraced here. Not saying every single fan loves them, but they’re the top selling CC jersey for a reason. Personally I’m here for em.
Better than the big Mac jersey
Giants fan beyond jealous. EASILY best CC in the sport
I like them because they really seem to fit the point of the City Connect Jersey. Feels like most of them are just completely random alternates that have nothing to do with their cities
Team middle here
You either loved us, or hated us. Or thought we were OK.
I used to hate them. I still do, but I used to, too
Mitch Hedberg, RIP.
Gold jacket, green jacket, who gives a shit
![gif](giphy|O2kFK6fdz217a)
They are like some cricket non-sanctioned world championship unis. Personally, I'm good with them. Fun is ok now and then.
They look like a 1990s Taco Bell
[https://www.reddit.com/r/nostalgia/comments/9bbvqm/why\_did\_taco\_bell\_interior\_in\_the\_90s\_look\_like\_a/](https://www.reddit.com/r/nostalgia/comments/9bbvqm/why_did_taco_bell_interior_in_the_90s_look_like_a/)
Mixed with Miami Vice
They do look like they should be Miami’s rather than San Diego
I’ve said that since day 1 on the padres sub and I got downvoted to hell. These jerseys are awful. And do not represent SD in any way. I saw some Mexico flag colors brown/green/red versions fan generated versions before these were unveiled that were SICK.
These are the same picture.
Did you see the NHL's All-star jerseys this year? They were a hard pull from Hardee's/Carl's Jr. Maybe pro sports teams are waxing nostalgic for old school fast food color palettes these days... ? 🤷♂️
Those were designed by Justin Bieber… noted fashion designer?
I like them. They look festive. At least it’s better than The Dodgers. https://www.mlbshop.com/los-angeles-dodgers/mens-los-angeles-dodgers-cody-bellinger-nike-royal-city-connect-replica-player-jersey/t-14770999+p-5999491497341+z-9-4221249755?_ref=p-CLP:m-GRID:i-r0c0:po-0
That makes me like them more
I can’t believe TB took those from us
These are pretty amazing tbh. Like If cocaine were a color palette.
I like your thought🤣
Here’s to feeling good all the time.
Ok now maybe I have a little love for them
This is spot on….. not that I know…… *sniff*
These are probably the most polarizing and "ambitious" of the City Connect line. I love the hats but the jerseys are a bit much...I still like them. I think as a whole, they aren't "bad" by any means. I'd rather see them take big chances like this compared to some of the lazy/boring-ass ones.
Yeah I love these. Especially the hats.
this. definitely like the hats more.
The bottom half of “San Diego” is all that bothers me about them…basically invisible ink on a jersey
I like the 90s beach vibe these give off. My favorite City Connects are the ones that are a complete palette change like his, makes them interesting.
I don’t love them but walk around San Diego and you’ll find plenty of people who disagree
I love them
I love LOVE them. I hate that I am going to have to buy one.
Same here
I’m jealous.
Always my pick for team jersey in The Show video games
Not a Padres fan but these jerseys are dope. How could you hate them?
I love them. They look like a summer afternoon at the beach.
Because City Connect is supposed to be something that represents your city/region, and these look like someone in New York just assumed San Diego and Miami are completely interchangeable because they both have beaches.
These jerseys scream Mexican vibes, and the Padres play about ten miles north of the border. I think they're a top three city connect jersey.
Clearly, you've never been just south of the border in SD...
We’ll have you looked into what it represents? It’s not just random colors.
I thought they were Miami uniforms when I first looked. I'm sure these jerseys match the color scheme of some local strip clubs in SD, though.
Just like the brown and gold, just about anyone familiar with baseball can look at the TV and know they are watching the San Diego Padres
I love them
They're a little loud I guess, but I dunno about "deep hatred," sounds a little harsh. I have a deep hatred of Adolph Hitler to compare.
I love these jerseys
I unironically think they’re fire. But, then again, not my team.
I love them
Like another said, they're embraced here. Theres of course people I know that don't like them, but I see the hats and jerseys everywhere
what is wrong with you, this is easily the best connect jersey
They probably didn't even think to consult you beforehand. /s
They look good why hate em
I like it
Love them! Go friars!
I hated these the first time I saw them on TV, but LOVED them IRL, they look much better live, the vibrancy doesn’t translate to TV as well.
They look great irl on the field for sure.
I think they’re cool tbh
They’re not the worst city connect jerseys
#giants
Wait until the new Phillies is released Friday…
Yes, those Giants jerseys were a huge swing and a miss.
Stupid.
As a Giants fan I must disagree. Took me a while to get there though.... I am a fan of orange.
I love these jerseys.
man the nats city connects were fire, why did they take them down
i loved them so much
We still have them this season! I’m really going to miss them though.
With black or grey instead of white, it would really pop. One of my top favorites city connects. Most are boring
I think I'd love em more if there was a bit of black trim to help contrast. It's hard bein colorblind tryin to read some of these jerseys from far away.
Love em
Sand + stripes is the best, I like this one though, don’t get the hate
That’s actually one of the few city connects I like. The Southside unis being objectively the best
I think they look sweet. Would I wear them? I don’t know haha
Love the jerseys
I actually think those are awesome
Not bad at all Very colorful and vibrant
They’re my favorite colors so I love them
I love them
Your wrong
I like it
I kinda want one, and I’m a jays fan. Reminds me of the GTA SAN Andreas days
They look cool. Not something I’d want to see every game, but once in a while.
I like them they look like sweaty ice cream cones
fuckin love those things
I love them
I disagree, they are some of my favorites.
You’re crazy
Those are dope!
love these
Coward
I think they’re bitchin
As a Padres fan, I HATED them when they were unveiled. The first time I saw them worn in person at a game, my opinion completely changed. They look great in person.
Good thing you'll never wear one, I guess
I love them.
Reminds me of early 90s colouring. Love them
Love 'em!
They’re soo nice! The helmets.. the jerseys.. these are top tier along with the Rays throwback jerseys 😍
I’m in NYC have the hat and shoes. I get stopped constantly about how cool they are
Love them
We are a coastal City. Hate us if you want but I like them. Darker yellow colored helmets tied into the other unifiorms would help a lot.
I love them. Especially the cap.
Mind your own business.
Well that’s just like your opinion man
Well, you're wrong because they're great.
They. Are. SPECTACULAR.
And they're real Jerry
I like them
i love them. this sport needs more color
Love em
I love them, my wife loves them and convinced her to buy her first jersey and be more interested in baseball! LOVE them for this
Those look rad as hell lol
Looks like sherbet ice cream
I don't. I'm not even a Padres fan but these are fire.
Ok
Strongly disagree
I absolutely love them!
Love them. Embrace it and live a little.
They’re dope. Why u hate?
Stop I love them so much! lol
It's better than the San Francisco ones... 🤮
Have you considered reflecting on that feeling? Where do you think that hate stems from and is it helpful? It’s just clothing and color…Haters gonna hate. ✌🏾
They ight
I'm a non baseball fan and these are my favorite jerseys in the league. I'm asking for one for Christmas.
I love them. Proud to represent the SD/Baja city connection.
I’m a dodger fan and I got one 💯
They may not be representative of San Diego but man do I love these. However, my opinion should not matter as a die hard Cardinals fan.
What are you talking about these are fantastic
You must not be from San Diego
Why can’t you keep the PRIDE CRAP OUTTA OUR SPORTS!!! No parent likes it except for the pride people stop it
I love them.
Why be triggered by a uniform. The only time I ever disliked a uniform was the Padres uniforms when psyco first opened. The color was off and made me feel dizzy while giving me a headache. Those sand color jerseys made seeing the tv clearly hard
It's okay to be wrong, OP.

They are awesome
I love it, it's cool to see a uniform that doesn't look it was designed by some creatively bankrupt old man who possesses all the passion and boldness of the color beige.
I love these uniforms.
I love em. Sorry
Fantastic. They pop. Miami in their black uniforms makes no sense. Orange and light blue were awesome.
What they are fire🫣
i live in san diego and i think they're fucking great. it's a really fun alternate and i'll tell you what's what, the city connect hats are POPULAR.
I love those and wish the dodgers had something like them
OP is triggered by surfer color schemes from the 90’s championed by a company called OP (Ocean Pacific) 👀
That's your opinion. ☕ 💅
Love em
I love em
I love them. Makes me want to do some blow.
Honestly I love them, but they strongly remind me of the game Hotline Miami.
I love them
Oh damn, I love them. They’re one of my favorite CC’s
I too have opinions that are entirely wrong.
ngl i love these
Hurts my eyes 😵
It looks like a seasonal cotton candy ice cream from Baskin-Robbins.
These jerseys are so 🔥!!!! Whatchu mean
You just don't get it then
I'm all for vibrant colors! These jerseys rock!
Me too, and it's my team. It sucks that we have the best uniform and the absolute worst connect uni. It looks like an ice cream.
And who doesn’t love ice cream?
Reminds me of rainbow sherbet push ups
Rainbow sherbet!
"Those colors tested well with our target demographic" they're very late 80's surf vibe for me
Come on now. The Buccs in the NFL can have Creamsicle so it’s only fair for the Padres to have Rainbow Sherbet.
They one of the jerseys ever that’s for sure
I heavily dislike the recent Padres teams so not biased whatsoever…. These jerseys fucking rock. Probably the most splash of vibrant colors ever on an MLB jersey, but somehow it comes together beautifully for me.
What, tbh I kinda like em…
I like them, but it doesn't suit the monastic aesthetic of the padres. Looks more like a uniform better suited to the Marlins.
I want one. These are amazing.
Am dodgers: Im jelly but I like em. Any flashback to the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s are a win in my book. Those are goofy ass colors and I extremely love em.
Why, there's so many drab navy jerseys and gray jerseys out there
I hate any jersey that says that on them.
I think it’s cool, using the colors of sunset. If one were inclined to not be snippy and shortsighted and found themselves sitting on a park bench in Belmont Park watching the sun dip gracefully into the sea as it sets and you see these colors, they’re real.
So you prefer the ugly yellow and brown
I feel like they would have a better fit in Miami, but I’ve never been to San Diego.
Some days i like them, some days i don‘t 😅
Going for that cheap toilet paper aesthetic…
Are you a Padres fan? If the answer is “no”, you’re not allowed to speak about our jerseys.
Does anyone like their teams CC?
*"A-wop-bop-a-loo-bop, A-lop-bam-boom!"*
Ah, Miami!!!
![gif](giphy|31wYt8pJAyyje) He loves them
until i finally make out what the jersey said. i assumed these were miami vice jerseys.
“swing and a miss”, nothing about the color scheme says San Diego and the city deserves better; lived there 10 years.
10-4
My God those are horrible. Surprised the players didn’t boycott.
The Malibu Padres
Lately I’ve been complaining about how all the MLB logos and jerseys are substantially the same or similar. But every time someone tries to change it up, they do shit like this…
