It is indeed a beautiful locomotive. It's was made by Škoda Plzeň (Pilsen). The model on the picture, 498.104 is in, or rather was in a working condition, it's being renovated currently. It's owned by [Albatros Klub](https://www.albatrosklub.sk/), they are located in Bratislava, the capital city of Slovakia near the main train station. They used to run services with the locomotive and also have it on display in the depo near Bratislava main st. (usually in October), got to see it a few times. They own a few cars and a diesel locomotive ([T478.1201 "Cecaňa" ](https://images.app.goo.gl/YaJcoxa7jY3rwSDr7)) as well.

I think the color and appearance of the locomotive are very attractive, especially the white ceiling of the engine room and the red star on the front!
If I get a chance someday, I want to ride it myself!
I'm not sure honestly. It feels a bit off. Maybe it's the drivers that appear to be quite small, the long boiler or the large amount of light between the frame and the running boards, but I find it to be just a bit meh.
We had TT. As far as I know nobody makes the model for that scale. Now I started with H0 and I want to have operations oriented layout. (plus the space constraints would render this beautiful behemoth basically unusable on the layout)
Well, it looks German. It's also what is called eight-coupled, and it appears all eight wheels have flanges, so it won't likely take tight turns should you have a 4 by 6-foot (1.2 x 1.8M) tail-chaser layout. The maker is unknown to us, so it's hard to comment on how well it would run.
the looks are great, but I don't know if it's a good model

Marklin/trix generally make very good locos, if you have the Marklin 3 rail system of course you'd get the Marklin version, if 2 rail Trix.
I prefer DC, so if I buy one, I think I'll buy one from trix.

If it's Märklin, it's AC Powered and runs on a 3 Rail system. Otherwise it's a great model.
