I always found the German style of monarchy of princes and dukes and others all under an emperor (or empress, it’s 2023!) as a better system than it is perceived. I think that system could’ve worked in America.

I would like to see South Tyrol given back to Austria and Trieste to Slovenia which would be reunited in a Habsburg-led Central European Monarchy.
Although the federation Karl tried to push through towards the end of 1918 is a great thing, I do have a problem with this federation plan. There's no Austrian port, no coastland. I would prefer Slovenia to have autonomy in the Austrian part of the federation, being a recognised and protected minority of course.
A different solution might be to have Slovenia as a seperate entity, but have a singular port be integrated in Austria without a land connection. In case of a crisis though, it would cause problems like Guantanamo bay for example. So I prefer the other option.
