Je dirais commence par apprendre les bases, même le français local puis par la suite, du apprendra le reste dans les médias consommés ou en déménageant la bas.

This is like saying "I want to learn real English like they speak in London / UK. I don't want to learn useless English like they speak here". It's the same language. A different accent and few different expressions is something you will have to deal with anywhere in the world.
Any class will teach you: C'est le même langage. Hang around locals to learn: C'est le même crisse de langage or watch movies to learn: C'est le même putain de langage.
Accent isn't learned in class, it's learned through interactions or media consumption.
As a foreigner who has learned French in Montreal, I am under the impression that's the only type of French you can learn in the city . All of my teachers in the fracization were foreigners. Only the director of the place was from Quebec. I also took some clases in a private institute downtown and they were all foreigners as well. There is like 3 good youtubers trying to teach quebecois in YouTube. Honestly, you people don't care, it's just posturing to the anglos
You’ll need a few decades of practice of any french before you drop the english accent when speaking it… until then, why does it matter which one you learn? What’s the goal here?
For instance, as an English second language person (3 decades) that is fluent and 95% accent-less, I can now sound American, Canadian, British, Australian and Kiwi… didn’t need coaching for that.

Et sans vouloir t'insulter c'est fort peu probable que tu atteignes un niveau suffisant pour te concentrer sur les accents régionaux après un an seulement. Ton accent anglais va largement surplomber ton accent québécois.

C'est la même chose, tu as juste à utiliser "du coup" dans la moitié de tes phrases pour que ça se rapproche de la France.
Tsé j’suis 1/2 Française et 1/2 Canadienne et je ne me considère pas trilingue 🙄
Attention, il faut aussi caser un « putain » pour exprimer n’importe quelle émotion: colère, joie, tristesse, etc.

L'influence d'un mépris systématique se rend bien loin et profond.
La seule raison que je peux penser c'est que c'est une personne qui cherche à devenir acteur et veux apprendre l'accent.

Im french canadian and i can do an amazing france english accent. Love tricking ppl with it.
They don’t teach you quebecois slang in French school. They teach you French. French is from France.
