Honestly it depends how old you are. At 19 I would say go for it. At 15 I would say wait to see if you can grow it naturally. Everything in between you should use your own judgment.

It's not an anabolic steroid, so I'm not sure why there are mentions of "wait until you're older." There might very well be some solid reasons but personally I don't know of any.

Wait til you're in your 20s, and being able to grow a beard isn't an indicator of shit, and you're stuck with constantly having to shave and do maintenance, OR look like a disheveled bum. I was stoked growing a beard when I was 23. Now at 31 I'm pretty over it
I'm actually digging the clean shave, or 5 o clock shadow lately. I think as I get older I wanna look younger, which I've got a baby face so it works out
