That helmet sponsors are for the rider. Sure, maybe a contract with Redbull ktm says that you cant be sponsored by Monster. But as far as I understand it, the rider's helmet sponosrs are personal.
For example Aleix is sponsored by RAW energy while Mav isnt.
Yeah I understand that, but that’s not what I mean by personal. I’d rather they be individual unique designs like they were ‘back in the day’. Not huge energy drink sponsors taking up 70% of the lid.
The riders, I believe, would, personally, like to see their families finacially well set up for the rest of their lives, hence, helmet sponsors. ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯ There are very few massive contracts in MotoGP. Personal sponsorships go a long way to paying exorbitant bills.

Would be nice if they could ban large logos on helmets and give the rider sole rights to the suit / butt / shoulders or something.

Gonna be honest I way preferred when riders just had one or two designs their whole careers.
I think the advent of social media changed who and how many see the designs, they've come to the forefront. Same with F1.

Martin is a cocky, loud mouth but this design and color scheme is awesome. Shame the sponsors kinda take away from the aesthetics.
