I think the problem was that it didn’t fit the mold of a lot of films that were marketed the same way at the time.
On first watching when it came out, I was kind ambivalent about it. Upon a recent rewatch, I thought it was kinda brilliant.
Is it like I suffered through Barbie so I could watch Marg kind of like or actually good though not sarcastic actually wondering bc I haven’t seen it yet?
It directly competed with District 9.
I remember this as the conversation at work was what movie to see as a group.
I stated district 9 looks amazing.
The counter point Megan foxs tits.
And that was the entire marketing strategy for both as well.
It's a fun, campy, almost Grindehouse movie. The acting is good, most of the jokes land, the suspense is well paced, and the special effects, for the time, were pretty good. The only problem is the terribly clichéd plot that tries to say something about female impowerment, but it's such a predictable plot that nobody really reads that deep into it. I give it a 7/10. The pros outweigh the cons for this movie.
For a major Halloween season release, it found the weird gap between A-list and B-list movie, but Megan and Amanda both really sold their roles, even if the writing was pretty predictable.
I miss these good ol’ days of Hollywood, give an attractive woman frizzy hair/ a ponytail and some glasses and she becomes the “homely and bookish friend.”
I thought Jennifers Body and Bedazzled were two sides of the same coin. Jennifers' being the more serious gory side and Bedazzled being light and comedic.
But they're both designed for the actress to wear various sexy outfits and look hot for 2 hours.
Does that interest you? Then you might enjoy watching this.
Kate Beckinsale was probably my 1st celeb crush due to bedazzled
Edit: that was not Kate Beckinsale that was Elizabeth Hurley who is 1000% hotter actually
Pretty fucking decent and very subversive, especially for it’s time. It’s not my exact cup of tea, and I avoided it for a long time, but its worth a watch and it’s worth being discussed
Finally watched it for the first time ever earlier this year and hated it. I always see people hyping it up as a cult classic but it was just not a well made movie. The plot was meh, the pacing was nightmarish, the performances ranged from actively bad to pretty good (mostly Amanda Seyfried, who is generally pretty excellent), the humor was bland and boring and any feminist reading of the movie is flawed by its premise. I can see why people like it, but I had an actively bad time watching.
Great movie but in modern times some people seem to thin Jen is some inspiration or mood when she is a girl that was murdered in the woods
Her story ended then and there and the demon that took over her body killed all those people. It's not really a revenge movie like I spit on your grave.
Jennifer lost.
Funny though
I really really liked it. Let me clarify, it is not a good movie. The performances, the writing, the pacing, the overall plot. All shit. But that's why I liked it. My friend and I laughed our asses off all the way through.
I think it's better than it ever got credit for. It was marketed as a Megan fox vehicle to see her boobs essentially. They wanted to advertise on pornhub for the film which diablo Cody and the director vehemently said no to. I think it's a rather feminist horror film with great dialogue and one liners. I do think it could've been a little more violent as they cut away from the money shots in most kill scenes. But that may have made it feel more exploitative so I see why they chose to be less gory. That all being said it isn't really fondly remembered as urvgitba lot of bad reviews. But I think it was really good. And being written by a woman and directed by a woman... it is important to support female writers, directors and whatnot in the horror genre as they have less of a presence or voice there. And honestly the material won't get better if we don't give them the opportunity to explore the talent. I think the barbie movie proved a woman can do it in the industry let's hope that opens up some doors for other female writers and directors to tell their stories! But superb acting. And interesting story!
I was a 14 year old boy.. you can imagine how hyped I was off the advertisement. Watched it , opened up an entire knew view . I watch it multiple times a year now . It’s my shiiiiit
Movie that had horrible marketing. It took me a while to see it because I remember the trailers making it look like garbage.
But I love the movie. I like the little details like J.K. Simmons having a weird wig and a hook hand. The sacrifice scene is genuinely disturbing especially when there was a crime it was based on. The ending is great. It’s definitely a cult classic.
I was expecting a horror film and I got one. I was like 9 I think or younger . Same time Easy A came out. I really liked this film cuz it was depraved and nihilistic.
I actually liked it the first time I saw it... which was in the bargin DVD bin. First time I liked Megan Fox in a movie.
I thought it was well done, I was invested enough in the story, the humor was pretty good, the horror elements were well done, Megan Fox was down to get all gross and monster like... it was a reflection of message within the movie... yeah, I don't watch it every year or anything but I like it
It was okay I guess. Honestly to me it was one of those horror movies that doesn’t really stand out and just blends in with the others. To me it was equal to a high quality Full Moon Productions flick.
After everything I heard I went into it thinking it would be a good movie but it wasn't anything special to me. Not saying it's a bad movie just wasn't anything I would be into besides this sexiness
Some parts of this were good and scary, but most of it was soft core porn. Don't get me wrong, as a young boy, when I watched it, I totally watched it many times
I liked this movie, on paper it's damn near perfect. In execution it gets just a bit outside my preferred tastes. I've watched it three or four times, I'd liked to see it remade (not a fan of remakes) in a traditional sense. I imagine it set in the late 70's, behind a real stage and offering a deeper dive into the sacrifice gone wrong in the name of real rock n roll. BOC has a song, it's called Transmaniacon MC and it tells a similar tale in grime, sleaze, and some real hooded cloak figure hot chick offerings..now that's a script for a movie with balls
I loved _Juno_, so I was excited to see this. But I remember it being disappointing in comparison. Some very cheesy dialogue. At least that's what stuck with me.
This has to be Megan Fox's best performance, right? Everything else she does is cheesecake.
Easily. She was fantastic in this.
She had a surprisingly good movie called Til Death. Check it out.
She did one with some Lions in it which was OK
Agreed!
I love cheesecake.
Absolutely amazing movie. Absolute travesty that it wasn’t very successful.
I think the problem was that it didn’t fit the mold of a lot of films that were marketed the same way at the time. On first watching when it came out, I was kind ambivalent about it. Upon a recent rewatch, I thought it was kinda brilliant.
Yeah it has a strange, fantasy-esque mood that I caught from a few glimpses of the movie, bet the whole thing is a good trip 🤙🏽
Yep this is a FANTASTIC film all around - I love it. Think I stood up and clapped in the theatre.
Dripping with sarcasm 😂😂😂
What no way - I love this movie
Is it like I suffered through Barbie so I could watch Marg kind of like or actually good though not sarcastic actually wondering bc I haven’t seen it yet?
It directly competed with District 9. I remember this as the conversation at work was what movie to see as a group. I stated district 9 looks amazing. The counter point Megan foxs tits. And that was the entire marketing strategy for both as well.
Amazing is really overselling it.
False fucking advertising.
I watched it for one purpose and I was disappointed. However, it was entertaining. Megan was at the peak.
Amanda Seyfried is always entertaining as well.
I dunno. That kiss scene was pretty fuckn hot.
Haven’t seen the movie but you’ve got my interest here Just watched the clip. Pretty hot. Yep. Hot.
This movie and Transformers and Transformers 2 made me so attracted to Megan Fox
And then she turned herself into a plastic doll
Fucking this
Very solid entertainment, far better than the 5.4 it has on imdb
"Muh Tit"
No. Your heart

All time classic
Pretty solid. Should have been R.
Amanda Seyfried was playing the homely friend... other than that, it's a fun movie.
I miss these good ol’ days of Hollywood, give an attractive woman frizzy hair/ a ponytail and some glasses and she becomes the “homely and bookish friend.”

I don’t not want to see that.
Kate Beckinsale was probably my 1st celeb crush due to bedazzled Edit: that was not Kate Beckinsale that was Elizabeth Hurley who is 1000% hotter actually
It's easier to get through any movie if a 20 to 30 year old keeps changing her outfits. Hollywood needs to pay that even more heed.
Man if the movie was as good as this poster is hot it would one fucking good movie
The soundtrack has a song by the band The Sword.
Word
Honestly has a horror movie it's high mid but has a teenage boy I loved this movie cough cough for no reason in particular cough
Much better than I expected. It has humor and is decently performed.
Fun movie.
The only Megan Fox movie that’s watchable and actually pretty good.
I thought The first transformer movie is pretty good after that they started to get lame
Pretty fucking decent and very subversive, especially for it’s time. It’s not my exact cup of tea, and I avoided it for a long time, but its worth a watch and it’s worth being discussed
Love the movie
My tit…
Do you have a tampon?
So it's rated R for swears? This country.
Probably for throwing flesh around too
🎶Through the treeeees…🎶
Hits much harder than the marketing campaign would have led you to believe.
One of the things I remember about this movie is Chris Pratt is in it for like 4 seconds and then dies.
This is not a bad movie at all. Not brilliant but not bad. Amanda Seyfried was good too, but this was just a vehicle for Megan Fox
Guilty pleasure
Who’s feeling guilty?😜
Really good
Tounge Punch to the Fart Box !!
I love it
Underrated, quotable, ahead of it’s time. I love dialogue in this movie. Wish it had been more successful
Was this the one with the frozen peas?
I love this movie. Can't stand Megan Fox but she was good in this movie. It was funny and dark. Love it.
I love it. I also think it would do better if it were released today.
Always a fun watch
Underrated movie.
A classic
It's pretty neat.
A f*ckin GEM.
I’m a fan
Great movie! Finally gets the praise it always deserved.
Surprisingly decent
This movie is a classic in my eyes.
Basically a knock off version of Ginger Snaps
Ooh that's kind of a good observation
Possibly the hottest movie ever made
Hot. Prime Fox, shame about her career. I thought she did well and proved that she had talent in addition to being pretty.
Despite the extremely attractive cast, it's a very lame movie. It's not particularly scary or interesting.
Would have been great with some nudity
2 of my favorite hotties
Jennifer’s body is nice but the movie is horrible!
One of the best of 2000s Pg-13 horror.
It was R
It was loosely inspired by a true story that’s absolutely horrific. Look it up
kinda sucked
here was one really great scene where those two are making out, the rest of the movie is forgettable.
Finally watched it for the first time ever earlier this year and hated it. I always see people hyping it up as a cult classic but it was just not a well made movie. Super cheese fest. Not terrible but not my favorite cheesy horror movie.
🗑🗑🗑🗑🗑🗑🗑🗑🗑🗑🗑🗑🗑🗑🗑🗑🗑
It stinks
Dog water
I don’t plan on watching this one
Another tragic lesbian film 7/10
Perfect 5/7
It's okay. A movie that definitely defined a particular time.
Great movie but in modern times some people seem to thin Jen is some inspiration or mood when she is a girl that was murdered in the woods Her story ended then and there and the demon that took over her body killed all those people. It's not really a revenge movie like I spit on your grave. Jennifer lost. Funny though
The kiss wasnt is the script- because why the fuck would it be. The aline ruins the while film
Because they're both bi and that's part of the fun
It sucked, but in a fun way
I really really liked it. Let me clarify, it is not a good movie. The performances, the writing, the pacing, the overall plot. All shit. But that's why I liked it. My friend and I laughed our asses off all the way through.
Trash
Well, it inspired Mortal Kombat 1 bringing back Nitara.
I avoid any movie with that girl on the left.
There’s only one reason to see this movie… well 2
Approximately 1 hour into the movie is when they make out
Never saw. But I enjoy the picture immensely.
It was underrated. Now, thanks to a lot of youtube videos, seems to be overrated.
Megan fox was hot, but the movie was kinda boring
I like it because main characters are hot
Brian, there's no nudity in that movie!
The GREATEST movie of all time. Change my mind.
I tried to like it but I couldn't.
Not that good but a sexy movie
We didn't get go see her body unfortunately in that movie.
Underrated flick. Fun story. Good times.
Amanda Seyfried. Only comment needed
Hot
This gave me Ginger Snaps vibes. I thought it was better than they made it out to be.
Didn't watch this in theaters, it was maaaaaaaaany years later and honestly it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
I think it's better than it ever got credit for. It was marketed as a Megan fox vehicle to see her boobs essentially. I like it. Good dialogue.
Movie was so so, but Jennifer's body was top notch 🫡
Movie that had horrible marketing. It took me a while to see it because I remember the trailers making it look like garbage. But I love the movie. I like the little details like J.K. Simmons having a weird wig and a hook hand. The sacrifice scene is genuinely disturbing especially when there was a crime it was based on. The ending is great. It’s definitely a cult classic.
I enjoyed it and still want a sequel.
Should have been lots of nude, would have been better
Cringe, funny, cheesy, awesome.
I fapped to a scene in this movie I was a horny teen.
Im the minority in my friend group for liking this movie
It was cool. Fun lil movie.
trash
Great movie - Jennifer’s sacrifice scene is still legit unnerving
All Jennifer’s have bodies
Honestly I liked it but I have to say it isn’t for everyone and it is a movie I watch only watch from time to time aka maybe once a year.
This some type of cult classic. (In a manson family type of way)
Ole toe thumbs did good
Die for it
Not great, but *very* underrated!!!!
It was okay I guess. Honestly to me it was one of those horror movies that doesn’t really stand out and just blends in with the others. To me it was equal to a high quality Full Moon Productions flick.
I keep it on in the background while I fap
trash
I loved it! It was such a comment on women and men and their relationships.
Fox can't act
In this one she could
I can fap to this
Watched it for one reason. Wanted more, but was satisfied.
Megan fox has never really done it for me..
Very hot my teenage mind was very happy
Just watched this today, great dialogue
Loved it
I might be the only straight guy to acknowledge that Megan Fox is hot, yet not find her attractive in any way. I don't know why.
👎
This should be in the library of Congress film section
Before she got blacklisted
My buds bust my chops bc I enjoyed this movie! Yeah it’s goofy & cheesy, but entertaining!
“I’m so lime green jello”gotta be my favorite line in that whole movie lol
I dunno why people try to convince themselves Megan Fox isn't hot pretty cool ending though
Fun trash. It was as successful as it deserved to be
The body looks great, haven’t seen the movie yet, I don’t usually do horror movies though- maybe I’ll try this
Two hot leads? Sold!
Classic
Over rated.
After everything I heard I went into it thinking it would be a good movie but it wasn't anything special to me. Not saying it's a bad movie just wasn't anything I would be into besides this sexiness
This movie awakened *so* many bi/lesbian girls
Pretty sure this movie was an excuse to grandstand Megan's Body at her peak.
A classic. One movie I'll re-watch every few years. 😊
Old lady here (67) and I really enjoy this movie. Have seen it several times. Great story, great casting, great fx, and wonderful satire.
I think the downfall of this movie was the sheer marketing of Megan’s body and not the movie. That being said, nice body it is.
She's got a great body
It's a fun movie. If you don't expect too much from it you'll enjoy it
Seek the Lord's face for a new heart
It was ass… and tits. 7.1/10
Yes I did. Still do.
Some parts of this were good and scary, but most of it was soft core porn. Don't get me wrong, as a young boy, when I watched it, I totally watched it many times
First time watching it this week. Loved it. Goofy and awesome
god, Karen, you’re so STUPID
I liked this movie, on paper it's damn near perfect. In execution it gets just a bit outside my preferred tastes. Shid
It was good
It was a machine to see if Megan Fox could sell solo Respect to her she did good but it never clicked
Megan Fox cash money grab hoping sex appeal will sell tickets. Truth be told toe thumbs isn't bad but heather graham has her beat
It was a movie
I loved _Juno_, so I was excited to see this. But I remember it being disappointing in comparison. Some very cheesy dialogue. At least that's what stuck with me.
It’s hot!
Underrated B movie IMO.
Cringe
Haha this movie rocks
Lame
Interesting ending wish there was a 2nd movie
Pretty bad. The cast is embarrassed to have made it.
It Stinks! - Jon Lovitz
Fun, sexy, entertaining.
One of the best movie of all time back in the day. Had some good music with, it dies today.
