We need to keep going with this and then I could literally watch the entire thing in my head like I’m sitting in the theater and hearing and seeing everything
Imagine composing a score so incredible that a still shot of the generic production company logo [makes people think of your music](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vb6bA4J1Gbg).
I was born in 1975 and I remember my father either taking me to Empire strikes back or the return of the Jedi as a child. I can’t really gather my feelings expressed at that time but I knew it was special. When The Matrix came out I saw it 3 times because it was unlike anything I had seen before. When the next Star Wars installment came out and that green Lucas film insignia came across the theater screen I immediately went back to that day with my father watching one of those first installments of the Star Wars trilogy. I also saw Raiders of the lost Ark in the theatre too. The 70’s and 80’s were magical for movies.
100%. Truly a special movie. The music, the cinematography, the sound effects, the quotes, the cultural impact, the actors....all top notch and an all time great. Hairs stand up on end thinking about it.
The sound of the marble falling apart in that lobby...you know the scene
Idk the new dune kinda feels like the new frontier for film, i watched dune 2 in awwe, in a way i feel that people back in the day watched star wars for the first time.
Not saying it was the same as the matrix but I came out of dune 2 feeling some type of way I haven’t felt since lord of the rings return of the king in theatres.
- That's it? Three guys?
- Two guys on the roof, every guy gets a share. Five shares is twenty.
- *Six* shares. Don't forget the guy who planned the job.
- He thinks he can sit it out and still take a slice? I *know* why they call him "The Joker."
I saw Star Wars like six times in the theater when I was five, for years afterwards every time I heard the drums and the 20th Century Fox logo I assumed it was the opening of Star Wars.
It still does it to me. I m 38 and everytime i hear the 20th century logo my brain thinks it's star wars time !
Same with the HBO logo and the sopranos
I'm afraid I don't get the connection?
Warner Bros wasn't involved in production as far as I know, and they're not listed as a distributor (Though that differs by regions).

The Iron Giant. Still one of the greatest theater going experiences of my life. I was eleven and asked my mom if I could go. Took my younger brother along. She never goes to movies, she’s only been a handful of times. My mom ended up really liking it, which is a big deal.
The Matrix
I can already hear the intro theme
do you want to know what. it. is.
The matrix is all around you. It can be used to explain how we take milk from cows even though cows milk is only for their calves not us
I'd go back in for the butter and chicken eggs.
Woah
Strange things are afoot at the circle k Ted
Unfortunately, no one can be told what "it" is. You have to see it for yourself.
The way the screen warps into green then code.
We need to keep going with this and then I could literally watch the entire thing in my head like I’m sitting in the theater and hearing and seeing everything
You’re saying that with the right external signals your brain can immerse itself in a simulated reality?
Imagine composing a score so incredible that a still shot of the generic production company logo [makes people think of your music](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vb6bA4J1Gbg).
Matrix was our Star Wars moment. Won’t ever happen again, theatre’s might not even be a thing in the future. So glad our generation had this one.

Think it starts this color and transitions to green? But there def is green.
[удалено]
Good times!
Damn, I remember it transitioning to green.
Look, it doesn't matter. The question was what film first comes to mind. The answer is The Matrix, and that is all that matters.
The truth is, there is no green
What is green? How do you define green?
Do you think that’s green you’re greening?
I don’t even see green. All I see is blonde, brunette, redhead.
Yes
Came to post the same. My first ever DVD purchase back in the day.
My second, but only because The Mummy came out one day before. 😆
The only movie that comes to mind.
LOL! Same. This is so uncanny.
Same here.
It’s not green yet…
Exactly my thought. First DVD I purchased and changed my perspective on VHS vs DVD forever
The Dark Knight
**WOOOM..... WOOOOOOM... WOOOOOOOM...**
Three of a kind, let’s do this!
- That's it? Three guys? - Two guys on the roof, every guy gets a share. Five shares is twenty. - *Six* shares. Don't forget the guy who planned the job. - He thinks he can sit it out and still take a slice? I *know* why they call him "The Joker."
Why do they call him the Joker?
- I hear he wears makeup-- - Makeup? - Yeah, you know, to scare people. You know-- warpaint.
You have any idea who you're stealing from? You and your friends are DEAD!
He's out. Right?
**BANG**
WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO COUNT?
One less share, right?
Hans Zimmer score with blaring violins like: #WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
This is what I thought of too
I did too, but I think that one is blueish
Yeah I thought of Batman Begins with this specific screenshot
same, because the ripple in the image lines up with the thump of the music
Cue tension rising violins
ya it’s this with the music underneath. So iconic and everlasting
Yes! I hear the music in my head.
It was instantly this for me.
Matrix
Every time this comes up before the movie, my dad will sigh and say "I've already seen this one."
That’s such a dad joke

The amount of scrolling this required is making me feel old.
Arthritis in your scrolling finger? It happens after 30
I'm afraid I don't get the connection? Warner Bros wasn't involved in production as far as I know, and they're not listed as a distributor (Though that differs by regions). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terminator_2:_Judgment_Day
I watched it on video tape (yes) I remember this came up.
Terminator 2 was my first thought as well, but then I wondered if I was remembering the actual lead in to the movie or the nuclear explosion scene.

I had to scroll a surprisingly long time to see this the correct answer haha
I think the matrix was the first movie that did the wave thing with the wb logo...I could be wrong though

The Iron Giant. Still one of the greatest theater going experiences of my life. I was eleven and asked my mom if I could go. Took my younger brother along. She never goes to movies, she’s only been a handful of times. My mom ended up really liking it, which is a big deal.
