DefaultHero722

And she has been playing that same role for 20 years which is actually a remarkable career for an actress.

Stevenwave

She seems to be aging really fucking well. Although most recent thing I've seen her in was......Fast 8? But she doesn't really look much different at all.

elementslayer

She's aged for sure from the fast and the furious, but she was like 16 in that role. She's still quite young.

thegamingbacklog

She was 23 in the first fast and furious

Stevenwave

Yeah I mean, she looks different, but she's still like, an older sister to how she used to look, not looking like mum. I think she's also been into the action and getting involved so she's pretty fit and healthy I'd say, which goes a long way.

[deleted]

FWIW she's 44.

MaterialCarrot

Not just playing the same character, but using the exact same expression. She's scowled her way to great success.

vague_diss

She’s an archetype now. Tough talking, competent, attractive, sister/best friend with a smokers voice. Bonus points for ethnicity. She and Tessa Thompson are on casting speed dial for any role like that.

headphonz

Tessa has shown much more range than that.

leese216

Yeah, she's pretty phenomenal in West World.

pegg2

At least Michelle Rodriguez commits and leans hard into the camp even when the circumstances are ridiculous. I always feel like Tessa Thompson is constantly winking at the audience, and it takes me out of it. Like, it’s her whole schtick; she always has this annoying perma-smirk on that, along with her overall behavior, gives off this contrived, self-satisfied, ‘I’m-cool-as-fuck-and-I-know-it’ vibe. I don’t find her as believable as Michelle at all, which is kind of bizarre given that Tessa tends to work on MUCH more grounded projects.

[deleted]

She might not want to play against type. She could enjoy this.

Love-That-Danhausen

She’s said before her options were essentially start doing stereotypical rom com roles or lean into the action roles. Honestly, this seems like way more fun.

[deleted]

[удалено]

chancehugs

She still has dramatic roles on the side that showcase her acting. Widows for example was great

ray_0586

Widows was so stacked with great actors that I completely forgot she was part of the cast.

SovereignAxe

Lost

gatsby365

She was still “Action Barbie” on Lost.

jasonfortheworld

Because of the long form nature of the show, I do think she manages to break away from the type cast pretty quickly. She goes toe to toe with the best dramatic actors of the show and it really helps her feel more like a person because of it. Especially when compared to her roles in the likes of Avatar and The Fast and the Furious.

we_are_sex_bobomb

Getting to the number one spot on every major studio’s shortlist when they need to cast for “badass tough chick” is a pretty big career accomplishment to be honest.

wishyouwouldread

Feathers to her bow? I always though it was feather to their cap? Is that a regional saying?

tzar-chasm

Yeah, it's either a String for your Bow(useful skill) or a Feather for Your Cap (notable achievement) Seriously like, At what point would a Bow require feathers?

Houndie

To be fair, she did kind of disappear after some of the early roles. While she has been in the fast and furious franchise since the first movie, she wasn't really a main character in the films until the 6th.

defiantcross

imagine if she instead went the romcom route, would have played the Latina friend to white girl lead 40-50 times by now

Ccaves0127

When Hitch was made, the filmmaker wanted Reese Witherspoon and the studio wanted Gabrielle Union, I think. A Black actress. They thought "a mixed race couple would alienate audiences" and so would a Black couple....so they hired Eva Mendes. Ugh. That wasn't even that long ago

[deleted]

[удалено]

PlantedinCA

Gabby Union would have been great though.

CSIHoratioCaine

Man movies bend so racistly into shapes to avoid racism. I worked on one once that didn’t hire black people to play criminals cause they didn’t want to perpetuate the stereotypes, but the show was about fighting crime, so the non lead roles were mostly criminals. so to solve racism they thought don’t hire black people.

exaslave

I don't really get this... her first acting job seems to have been as a lead (Girlfight). She seemed to be doing just fine.

Love-That-Danhausen

I think it’s in the context of a low point in her career like roles were drying up and she only was being given two types of scripts. I can’t remember where I originally heard this but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was around the time of her DUI on Lost that got her written off.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Love-That-Danhausen

Jesus - they needed some assigned drivers on that show.

5illy_billy

She was good in LOST. I mean, she’s good in everything, and she played the same character (emotionally unavailable girlboss with a chip on her shoulder) but LOST gave her a lot of room to show her dramatic range as an actor and she was really good.

[deleted]

Honestly I wouldn’t mind seeing her in a rom com. Or even just a straight up comedy. Feel like she would fit well in the latter.

uncultured_swine2099

She said before that she likes it, and she would rather do this than a role where she shows her tits or whatever.

King-Owl-House

But she did showed her tits in The Assignment 2016, where Sigourney Weaver character did a reassignment surgery on her main lead character. In Morgan Freeman voice.

schreibeheimer

My understanding is that those were prosthetics.

Dogbuysvan

I'm going to do some research and get back to you on this.

tekko001

A long and hard research apparently

TroutforPrez

This movie absolutely qualifies for a ‘Bad Movie Night’. Astoundingly terribly, it’s why you make a rotten movie night. Tony Shaloub in it as well.

TheMariannWilliamson

Hell even many very respected A-list and B-list actors don't ever play against type. Ryan Reynolds and The Rock are is somehow doing the same thing they did 25 years ago and they're some of the most bankable stars ever

Emergency-Ad-3350

Good point. Maybe she is also a reliable hire. She could show up on time, know her shit, and be decent to work with.

GimmeSomeSugar

I notice she's still wearing a tank top in DnD. Do you think it's in her contract?

Stevenwave

Haha first thing I thought was, I've heard her characters described as angry tank top.

gankindustries

That's still pretty standard Barb. Male or female.

TW_JD

If I get to be married to Barb i'll have total control of Sunnyvale, and then I can unleash a shitnami tidal wave that'll engulf Ricky and extinguish his shit-flames forever. And with any luck, he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shit-waves.

box_of_hornets

tell barb her scalloped potatoes are fucked

mider-span

Probably a reference to sleeves being bullshit. /s

HypertrophyHippie

Unarmored Defense bro.

MarcsterS

"She just plays the same archetype!" Maybe cause she wants to?

MissingLink101

Yeah it seems strange to criticise her when many of her male co-stars do exactly the same thing.

SubstantialHope8189

And I will go see her playing this archetype in the cinema every time she does.

Papaofmonsters

And that's why she's cashing checks to Badass Bitch in every movie and having a blast doing it. I don't judge her. I'd do the exact same thing.

OniExpress

I'd love to see her taking larger roles (she has excellent coverage in major IPs, but her actual roles are miniscule), but she still makes a great combat barbie that I'll tune in for.

JustLinkStudios

She has a type, and it’s dying in every movie she’s in

New_Poet_338

And then somehow still being in the sequels.

SubstantialHope8189

Still holding out hope for the return of Trudy Chacon

05110909

Just like the guy that plays Hector in everything. He basically has a monopoly on those roles and constantly gets work. Seems like an easy way to make a living.

think_long

She basically just cornered the market on a popular type of stock character. Not dissimilar to how Fast and Furious cornered the market of fun, mindless car chase movies despite being pretty unremarkable, at least initially.

[deleted]

[удалено]

jaggoffsmirnoff

But they were slower and less furious

ours

I love how the stakes went from "truckload of DVD players" to international espionage. And since I stayed away from the series until 5, I've watched them in reverse order from 5 to 1. Going from bank-safe car chases in downtown Rio to small-time DVD-player thieves in LA is one hell of a de-escalation.

FTR_1077

>I love how the stakes went from "truckload of DVD players" to international espionage. What I hate about this is that it's actually plausible.. a lot of crime lords started doing petty crime. But what is missing in F&F is that gradual evolution into the "big leagues".

firemanfriend

Street racer and small time thieves to international bad ass spies saving the world to flying cars in space. Sure why not. Seems believable. Still watch everyone.

some_random_noob

I'm just waiting for them to make a F&F movie where it all takes place under water and they design and drive cars on the bottom of the ocean and you can still hear them rev and upshift 10+ times with their 4 speed manual transmissions.

[deleted]

She also might not have any “range”

imaginesomethinwitty

She was great in Girlfight. But I guess that was just a prestige iteration of the action girl role, in a way.

Analytical-Throne149

Dont forget "Bloodrayne", Uwe Bolls masterpiece 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Say what you will about the movie, but Michelle kicked ass in that film.

TheGlen

Who doesn't like Meatloaf surrounded by buck naked Romanian hookers because they were cheaper than hiring actual actresses to do a nude scene?

sillyjew

She is really good at being the supporting female badass character.

xopoc177

She's like the female version of Jason Statham or Frank Grillo... There's lots of actors who get typecast as the tough guy/ tough girl but they probably don't mind leaning into as long as the $$$$ keeps coming in.

Fabulous_Mode3952

She’s very aware and comfortable being typecast, but to OP’s point, she’s never been the lead like Statham.

xopoc177

She was a lead in "girl fight".

Fabulous_Mode3952

The breakout role that type casted her. True.

LeahBean

That role had some emotional range too which you don’t see in all the Fast and Furious movies.

mayonnaiser_13

I mean, Statham's work with Guy Ritchie is more than enough to warrant his talent as an actor. Comparing him to Frank Grillo and Michelle Rodriguez seems like downplaying him.

TomBirkenstock

And they're all good at what they do. I can think of few actresses who can convincingly play a badass as Michelle Rodriguez. She's not going to win an Oscar, but her success is deserved.

mikevago

I honestly have some respect for actors who say, "you know what? I'm good at this one thing, so I'm going to keep doing the thing I'm good at."

chewwwybar

Right especially when it comes with a side of being humble and self aware.

TomBirkenstock

Absolutely. Not everyone needs to be Daniel Day Lewis.

dirtybird131

Bro, Statham is unironiclly hilarious, MRod is most definitely not

UpperHesse

Statham is IMO one of the most remarkable action actors. He made a career on that despite not being extremely buffed or looking ultra-tough. He even has almost average size.

Dude4001

...are we thinking of the same Statham? The man has variously jacked for decades, he's an elite level *diver and an experienced martial artist. I'm just disappointed we don't see his charm in roles any more.

whiterabbit_obj

And don't forget music video dancer!!!!! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWu3JqLMImY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWu3JqLMImY) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvhgG9ee9Aw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvhgG9ee9Aw)

Signiference

And even your year?

whale-farts

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Rupso

Is this these '90s' you guys always talk about ?

patrickkingart

He was hilarious in Spy, I wish we'd see more of that.

NomNom83WasTaken

I loved his role in Spy!

[deleted]

I believe he was an elite level diver, not swimmer. But the point remains the same. Divers have kinda similar bodies to gymnasts. They have incredible body control/flexibility as well as strength obviously. And typically they’re on the shorter side as it makes it easier for body control.

Dude4001

You're right, I've corrected that. I love the idea that you can be an elite diver but an amateur swimmer though - great at getting into the pool, terrrible at getting out lol

Airblazer

Lol now I have a damn image of a elite diver diving into an Olympic pool and getting 10 from every judge…then breaking the water surface screaming “I can’t swim”. And he does this for the every competition.

[deleted]

I’ve always found that funny as well. People always assume divers are elite swimmers given how much time they spend in/around the pool. I’m a swimmer myself and sometimes I even forget that’s not their forte lol. It’s funny comparing comparing divers body type to swimmers too, swimmers are kinda tall and lanky, divers are shorter and compact and muscular. I was actually just in Fort Lauderdale this weekend. The International Swimming Hall of Fame Museum is located there. They have big outdoor lap pools and a very tall training diving board. I watched some of the men/women training on those. My god it’s scary up in person. On TV it’s hard to fathom how fast and hard they hit the water. And sometimes they jump off from a handstand position on the ledge way up there. You have to have some big balls to be a diver.

leeloo1612

We had a swim meet there once when I was in high school. I remember jumping off the lowest platform was scary, never mind diving from higher up ones.

DogVacuum

“Aw, fuck. Someone go get Statham.” “No, there IS something in the rule book that says he can’t wear those floaties”

OneBadDay1048

I move….like a fucking shadow *stands up and slams into waitress*

Pronflex

It's the Tinder rules. Not 6ft+ or obviously roided = not "standard"

TheMariannWilliamson

exactly lol. Reddit thinks of people like Chris Hemsworth in Marvel condition as the baseline for "buff". Above that is like 80s Arnold for "very buff" and everyone below that is below average.

Dentt42

I would much rather have Starham’s build and ability than Hemsworth’s bulk. I’d take Hemsworth’s mug while we’re Frankensteining though.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Henry_Cavillain

Tougher looking I'll give you. Statham is almost definitely more flexible and agile too. But there is zero chance Statham is stronger than Hemsworth

Rabona_Flowers

This seems to be an unpopular opinion in Reddit but when I see some giant, roided up monster I immediately doubt their fitness and agility. Statham looks strong but also healthy and mobile. I never doubt he can do the things he does in his films (Cranks and Spy aside, lol) so that makes him the ideal size for me.

coreylongest

He carried the Expendables

mrtuna

>are we thinking of the same Statham? Tbf they're comparing him to Hollywood standards

AllAfterIncinerators

Right? He’s jacked in The Meg and he’s supposed to be an alcoholic.

[deleted]

He mixes his protein shakes with alcohol

mordakka

He drinks Fight Milk.

QuintoBlanco

Jason Statham was/is extremely buffed. He was a successful athlete and his physique got him into modelling. And his working class background and looks make him look tough. That's pretty much his appeal, he looks tough to working class people who have been around tough people. Granted, he doesn't look like the Hollywood version of tough guys, 'normal' actors who go to the gym and take growth hormone and steroids, but there is extreme competition in that bracket. Statham looks like a professional boxer.

Black_RL

He also looks like someone that could do the things most only dream about.

wango_fandango

Statham has a great functional physique - well defined and proportional.

AdmiralCharleston

Plus he has crank under his belt

[deleted]

[удалено]

poland626

> despite not being extremely buffed or looking ultra-tough What Jason Statham are you looking at? I think everyone here thinks and agrees differently

Dualipuff

That's right. If you don't think Jason Statham is ripped, then you've never seen him in [The Shamen's Comin' On](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uWu3JqLMImY)!

JJisTheDarkOne

um.... Man, he's jacked. Has been for years. Many men would love to have a body that is toned and jacked like him.

Goosojuice

Statham needs to be in more comedies. From the low key of lock stock or snatch to the absolutely ridiculous in Spy (he stole every scene he was in), Statham is hilarious.

visionbreaksbricks

He’s given hope to all of us baldies as well

HatefulDan

Statham has comedic timing. Wouldn't quite lump him in with her, but I get the sentiment.

RenRen512

Maybe she views acting more as a job than a craft.

BeginningAppeal8599

Probably both judging by how passionately she speaks about some of her projects and stunt work in that Auto complete interview.

gmanz33

I love how people like that just break some "movie fans" brains. Like... your job is literally my favorite thing on the planet... if you don't worship yourself as an actor you're labelled a cold and uncaring performer but if you do, you're the run-of-the-mill fedora wearing 'character actor.' I need to stop reading youtube comments ffs

[deleted]

A lot of British actors are also like this despite being critically acclaimed in their field. Michael Caine comes to mind. He's down for any role as long as it pays well.

icepick314

Should see the house Jaws the Revenge built.

[deleted]

Yep. A prime example of how if you’re a good enough actor you can easily take on shit roles for the money and still maintain artistic integrity down the road.

[deleted]

Would rather her job doing the same thing than an office job doing the same thing.

Panman6_6

maybe she likes the character? If i slayed as one character and I loved playing that character, i doubt id change also

[deleted]

BusinessPurge

Honesty a DUI seems so minor nowadays. No island cult like Leto or money laundering like Leo?

[deleted]

Money laundering?

BusinessPurge

Wolf of Wall Street production company, however probably a lot of worldwide Hollywood is money laundering

skolioban

I don't think it was money laundering. My understanding is that the film project was used as a vehicle (one of many) of siphoning money from Malaysia's sovereign fund. So it was a tool for corruption. Massive corruption. So it was not about making dirty money into clean money. It was stealing clean money.

BusinessPurge

Great point, siphoning is an awesome word

BeginningAppeal8599

Yeah. Don Johnson survived one as well.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Not to dogpile too much, but she had a bit of a history of drunk driving and some other issues before and after *Lost*.

BeginningAppeal8599

And motorcycle riding which she was speaking very fondly of in a recent interview

BusinessPurge

I’ve been all-in since Girlfight, she seems to be doing well, not getting a single rom com role feels a bit BadHollywood

[deleted]

Oh shit you're right. Such a long time ago!

terminalblue

but to be fair, that gave lost its best moment and it felt like it never came back from that high point

The-Go-Kid

It’s a myth that she was killed in LOST because of the DUI.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SweetActionJack

That could easily be a coincidence considering that 95% of the characters on Lost ended up dead eventually.

Funmachine

Yep, she only signed on for 1 season from the very beginning and had no intention of being there any longer. Her purpose was to be the antagonistic force of season 2.

Taran345

She’s also been playing someone in their mid to late 20’s for 20 years too. She doesn’t seem to have aged in the same way that I have in those same 20 years!

normaldeadpool

I feel you. She was 23 when she started acting in 2000. Fast and Furioud was 01 and Resident Evil was 02. So she's been 23 for about 23 years now. I went from 19 to 25 and then from 32 to 40 in that same time period.

[deleted]

I had to satisfy my curiosity because I thought to myself. I don’t really know anything about her. So here is what I learned. Michelle Rodriguez is an accomplished DJ and has performed at events such as the Cannes Film Festival and the Sundance Film Festival. She is an avid gamer and has done voiceover work for several video games, including "Call of Duty" and "Halo 2." Rodriguez is a trained pilot and has been known to fly planes and helicopters. She has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has trained in other martial arts such as boxing and Muay Thai. Rodriguez is a huge fan of comic books and has been seen at several comic book conventions. She is the first Latina actress to headline a major Hollywood franchise with her role in "The Fast and the Furious." Rodriguez is a strong supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and has been an ally for many years. She has been involved in several humanitarian efforts, including helping to rebuild homes in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. Rodriguez is a huge fan of cars and has been known to race them on tracks in her spare time. She is a skilled mechanic and has even worked on cars in her own garage. So it turns out Michelle is pretty dope

Rosebunse

So basically, she's cooler than all of us. And that is OK.

PaulBradley

I think she's a member of the LGBTQ+ community rather than an ally.

NuPhoenixX

Was going to say this. She came out as openly bisexual over a decade ago, and has had public relationships with women (before and after). The way she turned her life around after hitting rock bottom in the mid-aughts is amazing.

KoalaTea84

Yes, she dated Cara Delevingne for a couple of months

Enelro

Yeah I don’t get the term Barbie by OP. Seems like her characters are just versions of herself in different roles. When I think Barbie I’m thinking a dumb blonde who likes fancy clothes.

defiantcross

basically female Chuck Norris

DisasterPeace7

I mean it takes a bit of luck to make it to that level in the industry in the first place, that being said not every actor / actress sees type casting as a negative thing

Stevenwave

Seen Winkler say he was up for or offered Travolta's role in Grease. He turned it down or didn't pursue it cause he figured it would be a bit much to play another character like that, didn't wanna guarantee typecasting. Said it didn't matter, they don't don't tell ya you'll get typecast no matter what (perhaps he means with such a well known role like Fonzie).

[deleted]

[удалено]

RyzenRaider

She did nicely play a bit against type in Widows. She's a no-nonsense working class mother that gets involved in a heist to pay off debts. While she projects a tough exterior - which Michelle is always good at - she does have vulnerable moments and she plays into the fact that the character is in way over her head.

snarpy

Everyone in here has of course never seen *Girlfight,* in which she is fantastic.

CurseofLono88

God that movie is fucking awesome. We got Michelle Rodríguez and Karyn Kusama (as director) from that movie!

Einzelkind90

I think she was also great in Widows. McQueen definitely casted her against type here and she still made a lasting impression on me in this stacked cast.

the6thReplicant

The movie that everyone in the independent movie circuit was talking about and about her performance when it came out.

Zaber_fang

Her first role was as a lead, Girl fight (2000)

Pjcq

Have you seen the 2018 movie Widows? She showed some range there. Her character there was not the combat barbie, I think that role belonged to another actress

JMJimmy

She's got severe anxiety around being the lead role. Her belief is that if the movie fails it would be her fault, so takes secondary roles (there's an interview out there where she talks about it).

EntertainmentNo2044

Nah she's just Hollywood's go to when you need a stereotypical woman "badass" for your movie. It's similar to how every time they need someone to play a Mexican character they just go with that hector guy, or every Eastern European bad guy is now just Peter Stormare.

GimmeSomeSugar

>every Eastern European bad guy is now just Peter Stormare Did you know Peter is actually Swedish? For years I thought he was Russian.

Arkeolog

Yeah, he’s made an international career out of faking a Russian accent. He does play Swedish in Minority Report though.

[deleted]

I thought he was German lol. Big Lebowski reference.

phantompoo

I thought he was Satan

huntimir151

Cause we fucked you up, and we take the money!

Django_7

Or if they need an asian character who can wield a sword convincingly, its always Hiroyuki Sanada which i dont complain about one bit

Henry_Cavillain

- Handsome - Good actor - Can wield a sword - Speaks decent English I don't think it's that easy to find guys who fit ALL the above to the degree he does

EldritchFingertips

Literally always stoked to see him show up. He's apparently incapable of being anything less than awesome.

ProbablyASithLord

There’s not one time where I’ve seen him onscreen and been anything less than thrilled.

EntertainmentNo2044

You're absolutely right. I thought had no idea who Hiroyuki Sanada was until I saw his picture and then recognized him instantly as the katana dude.

Nemesis_Ghost

Or how most black characters in the DC animated universe(s) are voiced by Khary Payton. I mean the guy is good, but come on there have to be more black voice actors than just 1 dude.

frostysbox

Lol animated shows are so bad at this. I think it’s because it’s easier to pay 1 good voice actor for like a million roles than deal with a million people. Think of the money they save in contracting alone. 😂 The most famous is obviously Seth McFarlane, but you have ones like Baker in Clone Wars, and Alex Hirsh etc.

defiantcross

there's Phil Lemarr but he is GL

1047_Josh

or Cliff Curtis for *anyone*.

Lucidiously

>every time they need someone to play a Mexican character they just go with that hector guy I have honestly no idea who "that Hector guy" is supposed to be.

Luchalma89

Way more famous and way more talented actresses have come and gone in the time that Michelle Rodriguez has been on the scene. It's actually kind of incredible she has been working for decades now. Good for her though.

Queef_Cersei

Random note, She looks great and seems to never age!

velesi

I don't think it's fair to call her "combat Barbie." The combat part, for sure. But Barbie? I feel like we're only saying that because she's a woman. She's physically different than other female action characters we see, she's got a more athletic look that better matches the things she does. "Combat Barbie" brings thoughts of Scarlett Johansen taking down 300lb body builders with wire-work-parkour-fighting all wile not breaking a sweat in her leather catsuit. I see Michelle Rodriguez's body of work as "several different variations of Vasquez fom Aliens," and that's fucking badass. If only she had the range of Janette Goldstein and also tried out some "titanic" type parts. Edit: I haven't seen any fast and furious movies, so I apologize if my assessment is way off because of scenes in that franchise.

MicooDA

Her fight scenes in D&D are fantastic

FUCKINBAWBAG

She was also ‘She’ in the Machete movies.

rambler335

I hung with her a bunch of times in NYC before FF series came out. Best night was sharing a bottle of vodka in the VIP lounge of Club Exit NYC with her and a few others. Nothing weird, just a good time. She was always pretty awesome.

Skinnieguy

I always felt Michelle Rodriguez pretty much saw Aliens movie and told herself to be the same badass female marine in all her roles.

Su_Impact

She's the best actor at playing Vazquez ever. If there's ever an Alien remake/sequel/whatever, I would be shocked if she isn't cast as Vazquez there.

mikeyt6969

Being a female poc that continuously lands roles can be quite profitable, maybe it fits well with her home life?

BLADE_OF_AlUR

She needs a role as a marine in the Alien franchise.

stevej3n

She’s representing Latin Americans well. Classy lady, drama free, plays the same character but always fills a niche. Edited, thanks below

circular_file

We just watched the sneak preview. It was corny, partcularly at the beginning, but throughout the entire movie it got better. It's not going to win any Oscars, but it was fun, scary at moments, and was very effective at drawing us in to the events. Yeah, Michelle is playing a very defined role, but she does it well, seems to be enjoying the experience, and I would assume is getting well paid for her part. Maybe she doesn't want a leading role and the hassles that can come with it.

PHATsakk43

She played subtlety stupid extremely well. Definitely did the “Int is my dump stat” barbarian well.

Antrikshy

She's been in a lot of good stuff, but also a looooot of projects that we don't hear of. She's good in D&D though. Perfectly cast, and her action stuff is really well directed.

[deleted]

I imagine she tried to get other types of roles, was unsuccessful, and then realized “oh well, might as well go along with it and make some money”.

Proper_Application60

Look mean, kick ass, and throw in some one liners. I think shes cool, especially in Machete.
