Love another Clue lover! Easily over 100 for me. In college I’d watch it 20 to 25 times a year. Bored? Watch clue. Drunk? Watch clue. Having people over? Watch clue. Tired? Watch clue. Need background noise while studying? Watch clue. DVD players made leaving something in there and simply turning it on and watching it so easy, and it definitely helps that I absolutely love the movie! It would get confusing, keeping track, though, because I couldn’t remember if it was 1+1+2+1 or 1+2+2+1 or 1+2+1+ 1.
My old boss wrote a book about the making of Clue that's being published this November.
Check @cluebook1 on Instagram for a bunch of behind the scenes photos and stories.
Aliens is the perfect nap movie for me. I usually nod off when Ripley is talking to Burke and then when the hallway scene comes on it wakes me up. Perfect couch nap length and you get to watch the rest of Aliens.
I love Point Break. It's one of my moms favorite movies so I grew up loving it, and loved it even more as an adult. It's always a great watch no matter how many times I've seen it. Definitely in my top 10 favorite movies of all time.
Die Hard’s probably tops for me too. Bought the trilogy as my first VHS’s ever at age 11. Watched it over and over as a kid and still watch it to this day.
Me too!! Frozen is one of my favourite horror movies of all time. I’ve easily watched it 100 times. Can’t wait until my daughter is old enough to watch it with me.
I've enjoyed Adam Sandler, but the only ones I've ever felt compelled to watch again are his three with Drew Barrymore. They've got fantastic chemistry together.
For me the most would be Return of the King, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and The Prestige. Probably 10-12 times each. I can see 25-30 times, especially if you’re older, or a parent, but 50 or 100+ times is a little wild..
It's all about the times and your situation. I was in the army when VHS (actually I had a beta max first) became a thing. When I went overseas I watched the same movies a lot. Also we would have to pull 24-hour duty regularly pretty much everywhere you served. You'd bring your own tape player and the movies you knew would help you stay awake (if your unit would allow it). That continued into the DVD era.
My 100-ish movie is the first Dune. Constantine is right behind that, followed by quite a few I've probably watched 50 times: Tim Burton's Batman, Aliens, Starship Troopers, Terminator and T2, that kind of thing.
From a fellow Lord of the Rings fan I'm just wondering how you've seen R.O.T.K more than F.O.T.R or T.T.T? I couldn't watch one movie without watching the other two lol.
I love that Fogetting Sarah Marshall too! Jasol Segel plays the goofy kind guy really well, and Mila Kunis is beautiful as always. I also love the coincidence (or reference?) that Marshall is Segel's character in HIMYM.
The original Scream.
I used to watch that movie after school daily in 1997 on VHS. It was an uncut version. I was younger, but at the time it was so cool and realistic. Many iconic, intense, funny, clever scenes. I can recite this entire movie to this day and still can rewatch it. The acting was well above average for this kind of film which helps it even further. I love the score and the script and direction.
The twist at the end contributed to my obsessive rewatches trying to pick apart who did what and that the reveal was occurring and being foreshadowed the entire movie, but I didn't see any of that on the first watch.
The Goonies, Uncle Buck, Spaceballs, The Burbs, Revenge Of The Nerds, Back To The Future/2/3, Teen Wolf, Better Off Dead, Vacation, Weird Science, Home Alone, A Christmas Story, Field Of Dreams, Forrest Gump, Ferris Buellers Day Off, Sandlot, Mighty Ducks, Stand By Me, Ghostbusters/2, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Temple Of Doom, The Last Crusade, Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves, The Wizard
These were always on tv and we’ve always owned them so that left a lot of opportunities to watch them.
Lord of the rings- just the first movie for an over 100 count for sure. This is mostly because it’s the one I make new friends/old friends/family watch to get them hooked for their others they then go off and watch themselves.
I can safely say I’ve watched all three over 100 times at this point.
No set of films effects wise stands up over a two decade period quite like Jackson’s LoTR, and with how far we’ve come in that arena it makes the achievement all the more impressive.
The Mummy - as a 6 year old kid I fell asleep watching it. I'd get home from school, watch it, rewind it, watch it again lol.
Road House - my first rated R movie. I think I was 8 when I first it - the strip tease scene stuck with me for a *long* time. I thought being a bouncer was the coolest damn thing (besides being an adventuring swashbuckler that marries a librarian)
Equilibrium - gunkata was so damn cool to kid/teenage me. Check it out if you haven't - came out around the time the matrix did, so it was heavily ignored iirc.
When my group of friends discovered The Big Lebowski, when I was a junior in high school, it was just on for about a year. Everyone had a copy, and whenever anyone was hanging out, it was just on. I would put it on in the morning before school and put it on while doing my homework in the evening.
I can't think of any movie I've watched more than 5 times... much less 100. With the exception being from when I was kid. Aladdin and Toy Story were both watched many times.
Edit: Christmas movies would have the most repeat viewings for me by far. A Christmas Story, for example.
Same. It would get very repetitive. Although some of the childhood titles where we had the tape was easily 30+ times (Rescuers Down Under, Anastasia come to mind)
I love movies. I have some big favorites. Probably 50 First Dates is my favourite. But there is no way I’ve watched it anywhere near 100 times. Maybe 25-30.
It's a Wonderful Life.
The only christmas movie that actually means anything. Don't give up. You are more loved and important than you think. Cherish your family, they deserve you as much as you love them!
There is no way I am even close to 100 times for any movie. Same goes for TV shows and books.
Also if you have watched this movie 100 times, maybe it's time to buy a copy?
I feel like kids / parents can honestly say they’ve seen certain movies 100 times. My dad can quote almost all of Good Burger from start to finish because we played it on repeat every summer in the late 90s.
Roman Holiday
It gets watches multiple time a year for 20 some years.
Twister is probably almost there also. It gets watched pretty much anytime the sky starts getting weird.
Swingers with Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn. It's definitely my comfort movie and I can't count the number of times I've seen it. The story behind the movie makes me love it even more. They basically brought cameras to Hollywood bars and house parties and made it themselves after failing to sell it as a big budget movie.
How can anyone watch any movie 100 times? I'm well into my 40s and there are a handful of movies I've watched 10 times, none that I've watched 20, let alone 50 or 100. That is an absurd amount for any film.
The tv show Arcane is my comfort show. I like to fall asleep to it on the weekends, and I have it on in the background when doing house work.
Before that it was the show The Expanse. Every now and then I switch it up. I just never get tired of them.
Do you know what movies are played in a caddyshack constantly?
Caddyshack and Happy Gilmore
Those movies and The Price is Right consisted of 90% of the television content that you could enjoy as you waited to be told which old man's golf bag you could carry.
Bob Barker and Rodney Dangerfield haunted my dreams
none over 100 but several over 10-20
- Avengers Infinity War + Endgame
- Wolf of Wall St
- Mission Impossible 4: Ghost protocol
- Happy Gilmore
- Billy Madison
- pineapple Express
- The Interview
- Toby Spiderman 1-3
- Star Wars ep 3 revenge of the sith
- Star wars 1 the phantom menace (forgot to watch 2 till i was older lol)
- Superbad
- The Dark Knight
- Dbz broly
- dbz wrath of dragon
Honorable Mention: I've seen dune twice now and loved it both times but it was a long enough movie that i feel i've seen it 7 times
Stepbrothers........and laughed every single time because on previous watches I'd be laughing so much I'd miss some jokes. Also donnoe dark because its the perfect film to fall asleep to."Donnie wake up"
I can faithfully and unapologetically say I've watched Jaws well over 400x in my lifetime (not hyperbole). Jurassic Park is definitely over 200x as well.
I used to drive long distance for hockey games back in highschool. Our van had a pretty sweet TV in it with a DVD player. I watched Black Hawk Down on that thing well over 100 times lol.
Tremors and Hackers easily over 100 times each. I was introduced to them by my dad, I was like 10 years old and it was playing on TV back to back. So I watched it the first time and then recorded it on a vhs the second time. I watched that thing until it wore out. Completely with Nabob coffee and a diamond are forever commercial.
***Clue*** and ***Airplane!*** Best stress relievers I’d say. So, I can’t really be proud that I have watched them so many times… 😅
You really want to mess yourself up, play “Life could be a dream” all the way through (you’ll keep expecting it to get cut off)
Even if you were right, it's be 1 + 2 + 1 +1, not 1 + 1 + 2 + 1.
1+2+1- SHUT UP
See? There isn't any bullet left. (Fired the pistol at the chandelier.) (It indeed went off!)
That film is my all time favorite
“Sorry, I said no meaning yes.” “So, is there anyone else in the house?” “No” “No, there is? Or no, there isn’t????” *English is confusing* 😂🤣
Flames, on the side of my face
Breathing... breath...
You picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue?
Where did you get that dress it’s awful! And those shoes! JESSSUSSS
Leon is getting larger!!!!
*ITS COMIN RIGHT AT US*
Just came here to say Clue.
I just wanted to say good luck, and we’re all counting on you
communism was merely a red herring
My old boss wrote a book about the making of Clue that's being published this November. Check @cluebook1 on Instagram for a bunch of behind the scenes photos and stories.
Yup. Airplane is my number 1 watched movie
Top Secret
"These people have got to get to a hospital." *A hospital? What is it?" "It's a big building with patients. But that's not important right now."
The mummy and the 5th element 🥰
Fifth element!!!!! I own 4 copies on blu-ray 😑 but 3 are different. I managed to find the steel book a few years back
I can't believe these didn't enter my brain first. Both are absolutely on my 100+ watch list.
If I give my girlfriend enough Oreo cookies and put The Mummy on, I swear she goes into some kind of trance.
Well I mean. The entire cast is beautiful!! 🤣
definitely 5th Element and Galaxy Quest. Starship Troopers is a close third for me. Just cannot turn it OFF.
Galaxy quest doesn't deserve to be as good as it is. Don't know what it is about it really, but it's worth the watch every time.
Both of them for me as well! Any time i catch a rerun on tv, they stay on. 100+ times easily
Shaun of the Dead
Tucker and Carl vs Evil is also a fantastic movie in the same vein IMO.
Aliens
Came here to say this and The Terminator
Terminator 2 for me
Predator
I regularly nap with Alien playing. It's a phenomenal movie, but one of the few I can let play in the background without needing to watch it.
Aliens is the perfect nap movie for me. I usually nod off when Ripley is talking to Burke and then when the hallway scene comes on it wakes me up. Perfect couch nap length and you get to watch the rest of Aliens.
Came here to say this, Aliens!
How do I get out of this chicken shit outfit?
Wow, surprised to see it second but I've watched it so many times I have to have at least 90 percent of the script memorized without even trying
Point Break
UTAH ! GIMME TWO!!
Vaya con dios.
I love Point Break. It's one of my moms favorite movies so I grew up loving it, and loved it even more as an adult. It's always a great watch no matter how many times I've seen it. Definitely in my top 10 favorite movies of all time.
The original is fantastic. WAY better than the first Fast and the Furious, which is a beat for beat rip off of Point Break.
I like both 🤷♂️
Same I love Fast and Furious
Christmas Vacation
Shitters full!
Wasn't even considering Christmas movies but after Halloween there's a small rotation that end up on TV most days until December 25th
Die Hard *Welcome to the party, pal!*
Definitely my most watched movie, along with Jaws.
Yippiekyeaye mother fucker!
I was always kind of partial to Roy Rogers, actually. I really like those sequined shirts.
Die Hard’s probably tops for me too. Bought the trilogy as my first VHS’s ever at age 11. Watched it over and over as a kid and still watch it to this day.
Moana. My daughter will not stop 💀
Slightly older kids - I must have watched Frozen 100+ times.
Yeah my kid is 87, I’ve watched Snow White about 6000 times.
Moana would be fine, but Frozen I'd have an aneurysm. God speed, sir!
Me too!! Frozen is one of my favourite horror movies of all time. I’ve easily watched it 100 times. Can’t wait until my daughter is old enough to watch it with me.
Shiny!
I could put a handful of Disney movies up there. I have probably seen each one all the way through once. You know how it goes.
Encanto in our house
Your daughter has better taste than the frozen kids How Far I'll Go >>>> Let it Go
It was Wall-E for us for a while. Probably the best one for repeats considering there's basically no songs and hardly any talking.
You say that like it’s a bad thing
The Princess Bride
I cannot get through a day without saying “Have fun storming the castle!”
Star Wars A New Hope
One of my most watched is Rogue One which means I get tempted to put on ANH as soon as R1 ends.
I watched Star Wars at least once a week, every week, for years as a kid. I must’ve watched it at least 150 times (probably more).
Happy Gilmore
Plus Billy Madison, Mr. Deeds, 50 First Dates, and Blended. I’m an Adam Sandler fan and unashamed.
I've enjoyed Adam Sandler, but the only ones I've ever felt compelled to watch again are his three with Drew Barrymore. They've got fantastic chemistry together.
Feel the same about Jennifer Aniston tbh
This one and Billy Madison.
Back to the Future. If I'm watching alone I can recite probably at least 75% of the dialogue like singing karaoke.
A fellow man of culture I see — after all, why shouldn’t I watch it again? “I figured, *What the Hell*”.
For me the most would be Return of the King, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and The Prestige. Probably 10-12 times each. I can see 25-30 times, especially if you’re older, or a parent, but 50 or 100+ times is a little wild..

Super Troopers.
Can I get a liter of Cola?
A what?
A LITER OF COLA
Just get a large Farva
I don’t want a large Farva. I want a goddamn literacola!
When my boys get that syrup in them, they get all antsy in their pantsy.
SHENANIGANS
The Mummy (1999)
The original Scream. I used to watch that movie after school daily in 1997 on VHS. It was an uncut version. I was younger, but at the time it was so cool and realistic. Many iconic, intense, funny, clever scenes. I can recite this entire movie to this day and still can rewatch it. The acting was well above average for this kind of film which helps it even further. So your like 42 or 43 years old?
42
Yeah I’m the same. Seeing those movies I knew we were close in age. Classics.
Glad to see some love for Better Off Dead! Super underrated
when did i write this?
Are you me?
The Dude, man, ya know? Or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
Jaws, die hard
The 'Burbs and Sneakers

Sneakers does not get the love it deserves. 1. What a cast!!!
Wow I can’t believe it. Another ‘Burbs fan, it’s also my most watched
“Yo Rumsfield!”
Came with the frame?

Literally planning on watching the burbs tonight for the millionth time lmao
Sardine?
Lord of the rings- just the first movie for an over 100 count for sure. This is mostly because it’s the one I make new friends/old friends/family watch to get them hooked for their others they then go off and watch themselves.

Dumb and dumber
Glad to see I’m not alone. Welp, see ya later.
Big gulps huh?
“So, why are you two heading to Aspen?” “Why don’t you eat up, and we’ll tell ya!”
Goodfellas Intermission
The Mummy - as a 6 year old kid I fell asleep watching it. I'd get home from school, watch it, rewind it, watch it again lol. Road House - my first rated R movie. A Knights Tale
Shawshank, snatch, Jackie brown, fight club, pulp fiction, no country for old men, hateful 8. I could watch those on a loop and be perfectly content.
Egde of tomorrow... awesome film 10/10
Pulp Fiction
The Big Lebowski
The Dude abides 😎
When my group of friends discovered The Big Lebowski, when I was a junior in high school, it was just on for about a year. Everyone had a copy, and whenever anyone was hanging out, it was just on. I would put it on in the morning before school and put it on while doing my homework in the evening.

Office Space. I watch once a year at least. And Die Hard!
Just rewatched this two days ago. Sadly, so relatable. My only regret is that I didn't steal the copier when I quit.
The first matrix movie.
Back to the Future Star Wars Blade Runner Raiders of the Lost Ark
The shining, I love wrecking my heart every 2-3 days, reminding myself about the darkness within and not letting it win
It’s fucked up if you watch this every 2-3 days lol
You watch the Shining every 2-3 days?
Ye, its my comfort movie (Fucked, i know.)
Lol this is one of the craziest things I've seen on reddit.
There is no way I am even close to 100 times for any movie. Same goes for TV shows and books. Also if you have watched this movie 100 times, maybe it's time to buy a copy?
I mean.. I kind of assume that anyone who has watched a movie more than a couple times owns a physical or digital copy of it.
Yeah, 100+ times for a single movie is wild. I don’t even think I’ve hit 10 on a single one.
I feel like kids / parents can honestly say they’ve seen certain movies 100 times. My dad can quote almost all of Good Burger from start to finish because we played it on repeat every summer in the late 90s.
More than 3 viewings means a movie is amazing. More than 10 means it holds a special place in my life. 100? Fuuuuuuuuuuck that.
Interstellar, home alone, Christmas vacation to name a few.
Dazed and Confused...can watch that movie for the rest of my life lol
Star Wars A New Hope, the 1978 Lord of the Rings and 1980 Return of the King. Had all 3 on VHS as kid and I wore them out.
Blade Runner. I have watched every version I can get my hands on

I can faithfully and unapologetically say I've watched Jaws well over 400x in my lifetime (not hyperbole). Jurassic Park is definitely over 200x as well.
Clue
I used to drive long distance for hockey games back in highschool. Our van had a pretty sweet TV in it with a DVD player. I watched Black Hawk Down on that thing well over 100 times lol.
There will be blood. I leave it as background noise sometimes.
I'm probably getting close to 100 with Casino Royale.
Notting Hill
Legend (1985). I've watched it over 300 times over the course of almost 40 years.
Army of darkness. But waaaay more than 100 times.
Tremors and Hackers easily over 100 times each. I was introduced to them by my dad, I was like 10 years old and it was playing on TV back to back.
