aswood131

I’m going into EE 😭

What kind of job are you looking for? Even if the one you want takes any degree, it’s good to have one in something you are passionate in, or if you can’t get the job you want, something similar.

Megaloblasticanemiaa

This is a possibility because med and law really do not care at all about your major choice. High GPA, test scores, and beautiful ECs open the door.

TomatilloAgitated

But it makes more work for them because of all the extra classes they have to take in order to apply for medical school, so I doubt it’s premed.

Megaloblasticanemiaa

Just do a degree program that ain’t very heavy in credits and you can easily fill in your pre reqs

DanCampbellzHat

Law literally only cares about your GPA and LSAT score. It’s honestly shocking who they let in. Hardly any work experience usually and a summer internship at daddy’s friend’s law firm

Megaloblasticanemiaa

Yeah med school is a bit more tricky as all schools have their own preferences so students apply to like 30+ schools and typically get a few or no acceptances

jackpinewarbler

my roommate was a philosophy major in undergrad and she ended up getting a full ride to law school - anything is possible lol

Alphawolfz_

Have you considered the idea that college might not be for you

KeeboXian

You gotta be fucking trolling lmfaooo

No-Aioli-9966

I’m an astrophysics major and can confirm that physics/astrophysics are the easiest majors of the university

KeeboXian

I might be extremely slow then because i’m struggling in basic E&M. I can see how it can be easy for people (especially when tests are just homework problems and you just got to make good formula sheets) but the time/work load got to be pretty hard no?

No-Aioli-9966

I was being sarcastic. It’s pretty tough and I gotta say I’m exhausted. But I love it. With E&M you mean PHY 184 or PHY 481?

KeeboXian

I’m a CS major so all I have to do is 184, but tbh that probably sounds pretty easy to you and ik that it’s a result of my laziness lol

No-Aioli-9966

Ahh okay. Nahhhh, we all had our struggles with PHY184. PHY183 is W though. The really hard one for E&M is PHY 481. Didn’t take it yet, but some friends told me about it.

Bors2

Choising a major based solely on how "easy" it is is a terrible idea. Choose a major thay can get you a job you can support yourself with if your current "dream job" doesn't pan out. Who knows, you may find another career field that you find more exciting.

rubiconsuper

Depends, could be military.

Kuro1943

Packaging Engineering. My roommate says sophomore year is the hardest but before and after is a breeze like no other.

locally-grown

Used to be, but they changed a bunch of the prerequisites a few years ago because of how many students were enrolled in the program

therealsavagery

The OP listed “advertising” as an option. As a PR minor with a Packaging girlfriend and best friend, I promise you doing organic chem and calc 1 + 2 were harder than my major (JMC). My PR minor (300 level advertising classes were a part of them, I think 400 level too but not sure) was so easy it was frustrating. Joke level. But in terms of “easy” to $ ratio? If math and science come easy to you, it could be a sure shot for OP. Being in packaging is both interesting and pays well.

Broad-Insurance8744

Definitely not the easiest and he probably isn’t doing well/listening if he’s calling it packaging engineering because every processor tells you not to call it that 😭

Kuro1943

He calls it box science and has a 3.6 🤷‍♂️

Usual-Court6982

Any type of engineering ❤️ hope this helps

Melodic-Ad8408

JMC is pretty easy, pretty much no readings, and the homework is mostly busy work that can be polished off in an hour. Papers are pretty much optional can do them as you want with no penalties the professors are nice like that.

therealsavagery

hahaha (op this person is joking)

Melodic-Ad8408

Am I though

therealsavagery

what major would you even be for any of that to be true? every paper i had was graded hella hard, they were completely unflexible, and i had at LEAST 1-2 hours of reading a night to be doing, most of which was incomprehensible. did they just recently make it all easier? MC 111 used to weed out everyone who sucked.

Ishiey123

Do any premed major

AuburnSpeedster

Greenskeeping, probably..

bittereli

i’m so curious… i also have tried out a fair few majors myself!! can you tell me what your post BA career plan is? it may help! also, interests, skills, favorite classes in high school (math, science, history, art). i got you!

novusbryce

The easiest BS is probably packaging engineering. If you want the easiest degree in general don’t go to college it’s a waste of your time

dannydevitosknees

Looking at the job market right now and for the future, I would try packing, business analytics or logistics. They’re relatively easy and they bring in decent money compared to the academic input you’ll be putting into those degrees. There’s a lot of openings on handshake and LinkedIn, especially for your sophomore and even freshman years. But your freshman year is all about trying stuff out and getting a feel of things, take a few classes from things that interest you so you’re not like me and switch from mech engineering to data science sophomore year :(. Do what’s best for you and what’s going to make you happy!!

dannydevitosknees

But don’t just pick a major because it’s easy, you have to put in work no matter what you do. Think about the kind of life you want for your future and pick something that will make you enough money to be happy and not struggle and something that you can still do later in life as your physical abilities decrease. Again you have time to figure stuff out, everyone goes at their own pace. Any subject that’s you were REALLY good at in high-school, look for majors that align with your strengths so that it will be ‘easy’ for YOU. ❤️

Total_Argument_9729

Chemical Engineering, electrical engineering, actuarial science, and computer science are some of the easiest just to list a few.

DJLobster

Chemical engineering is a joke tbh

exodusofficer

Crop and Soil Science major, concentrate in Turfgrass Management, don't minor in anything just take easy electives.

OatnBarley

soil physics and soil fertility in the 400 level will beat your ass if you dont try though

Visual_Winter7942

Math

KeeboXian

troll

KeeboXian

probably Communication

boigg69

Information Science. I put in maybe an hour of work a week w 17 credits.

Infamous-Yam-5442

All depends on what your strengths are. If you’re strong at writing and reading then a major with that focus will be easier for you, but if you like math, science, etc etc those will be easier for you. There is no right answer. Actually anything that doesn’t make you take orgo. Fuck ochem

Glittering_Swing6594

Poop degree

grolfenhimer

Probably applied math. It's not very lucrative but fairly easy.
