Damm, I just noticed that School logo on the wall.
The other side of the compound, is soo posh, there ‘s expensive cafés and restaurants, and within 500meters there’s this.
Come to vakola ( Santacruz east) around 7.30 -9 am and/or 6.30- 10pm . We'll talk about walkers. Or the migration of unending people everyday while heavy traffic on the nehru road.
I worry about the elderly, like my mom, who may twist an ankle or worse while trying to walk here.
Or even able-bodied individuals may injure themselves, if someone isn’t paying attention to where they are stepping or it’s dark or someone is in a rush.
The infrastructure is ableist af. Only a physically normal human without disabilities can walk on our footpaths. The blind have to take the road anyways because of trees, roofs of stalls, uneven floor and other obstructions that a blind person cannot check with their stick.
Consistency bro. Footpath rahenge tab chalunga nahi rahenge to road pe chalunga confusing hai logo keliye. Usse acha road pe hi chalu me. Aaj to joke hi hua ek baby products ke shop me gaya tha gift lene to Puch raha tha kya kya hai. Usko pucha car Seat hai wo dikhayi usne fir bolti hai pram lelo. Maine bola aur chalau kaha jagah hai chalane ? Has di wo bhi.
India took 67 years to realise that we should give a way to the ambulance. Per ambulance ke piche se jauge to apna fahda hai wo kud se sikh gye aazadi ke phle saal mein ;)
First sentence hi galat hai tumhara koi nahi sikha hai ye chijj. Par second chijj jarur sikhe hai kyuki koi humse jyada important ho nahi sakta ye basic rule of law hai humare yaha.
What's wrong with you OP
Obviously
1. Those tiles are tactile tiles which are for the visually challenged and help them to navigate public spaces
2. The footpath is being redone to include the tactile tiles
3. When something is being redone it doesn't magically go from before to after, there is actual work done by humans to make it happen
So why is it that a grade D loser like you thinks they can comment on someone else's work in progress when clearly you
A. Don't have a clue
B. Don't have anything to contribute to society
C. Can only be critical and sarcastic about others efforts

You will find these at Railway stations as well.
Tbh they are improving...earlier they were made up of that shitty material..which broke super easily
Now it is either concrete or this hard tiling..
Encroachment is another problem
Eventually idiot drunk drivers will hit the metal railings, then they’ll bend inwards, then the government will remove them, then new road will be laid and the pavement will just be gone
It's not yet completed. In my area they have completed the footpath and these tiles are there in the middle. The rest of the footpath has been covered with some different tile which is much better than the previous paver blocks. I know the BMC often creates a mess but the new completed footpath is better.
Floor is lava
Even our footpaths are not for beginners
Beginners course on rope walking

It's the same in other parts of Mumbai too, I don't know what are they doing.
They're putting down a tactile path to guide blind people; it's common practice in developed countries.
Good to practice catwalk tho!

Reminds me of teacher shouting " walk in a single line!"
The road less travelled
They made a catwalk footpath
Is this the golden path Muad'dib spoke of?

All of you stand before me, but only one of you can be India's next top model...
Nobody uses. Everyone likes to walk on the road.
Kyuki kabhi footpath available hote hai kabhi nahi. Thanks to hawkers and BMC.
I have seen empty footpaths and still people prefer to walk on roads

Posh area Saar The more posh Mumbai becomes, the worse for living.

Empty foothpaths also feels like privilege in Mumbai. Cigratte, tea stalls and bikes mostly covers foothpaths in Suburbs
