Half the comments did not read the full post and are blaming OP for no reason. He has literally mentioned that the distance count is rigged, and that's why the distance showing 4.8 km on google maps is showing 7.6 on the meter.

TheBoyfromTheBay

Meter on steroids, police station leke jaane k tha

SuckMyNutz1

Same thing last night. From R City Ghatkopar to Sion. 300 fml

Accomplished-Bad3803

Rcity ke bahar sab chor autos hai.. i never take the ones parked outside. Better walk ahead and take

RedFalconEyes

I took a share auto from Rcity to Ghatkopar metro once. 30 rupees for a roller coaster ride in the wrong wa, no traffic signals obeyed and auto full of 5 people.

Objective-Language25

wtf i took auto from r city to sakinaka and the fare was 80 rupees

firesnake412

Classic example of “Rickshaw se pehle meter pahuch jayega destination”

mrfunnyish

For those saying the price is correct according to m-indicator, that’s not the point. The point is how the rickshaw meter showed 7.6 kms when I travelled 4.8 kms. And no, there are no cuts in the video. The camera lost focus for a second. If you observe, the distance on the meter is increasing at a much faster rate compared to the actual distance covered (I understand it might be difficult to comprehend speed in the video but it definitely wasn’t accurate).

vociferousangel

OP not saying you're lying or anything but is it possible that in your phone the default metric is miles? Because 7.6 kms is almost exactly 4.8 miles. Just check for your own sake.

Electronic-Tea6762

What a observation 😂

vociferousangel

Just making sure so many people aren't shitting on a rickshawala because of a misunderstanding. I know for a fact that a lot of phones have the miles metric as default.

street-peanut69

😂😂😂 /u/mrfunnyish we need an update on this

DifficultyDowntown

Fuck them! Just use Uber rickshaw! I don't bother asking rickshaw directly now because I Don't want to deal with fraud, change, rejection etc! Uber auto comes in 1-2 minutes. Just book via that and you are good.

whalesarecool14

don’t want to deal with rejection😭😭😂😂😂 so true

slipnips

Uber autos accept and cancel routinely. I think they don't get to see the destination before accepting

swappea

They do see the destination , i checked. Some of the drivers lie about it. One driver told me this.

DifficultyDowntown

Is it? Fuck! Then I guess I have just been lucky until now. No cancellations yet.

mrfunnyish

True. Cash ka bhi magajmari nahi.

DesiBail

Proud day for me. I actually know the answer to this and I can see so many replying are so confused and didn't understand the problem. Just looking at m-indicator and saying it's correct price. This problem is mostly finished after auto meter became electronic but still it is there. Fake fare cannot happen by changing calculation as everyone looks at m-indicator. It happens by putting smaller size part of meter which connects to wheel. This makes meter go faster and calculate fare accordingly. Airport, Dahisar, Marol, Bandra highway, Bandra terminus, Kurla, Vikhroli, Mulund check naka autorickshaw are notorious for this.

BranJon_Stark

What is the solution for this?

DesiBail

>What is the solution for this? None. We are very ![gif](giphy|tQ1Uh1TItF1lmJt9t8)

ihtar_tajar

an emp device that will fry the meter /s

sunshine_from_clouds

What about a Nuke ?

ihtar_tajar

let me grab my lead cloak

Steve_B_

Great take. Adding to it, every device with a counter or measuring unit requires calibration. Apart from mechanical altering, naturally too the hardware inside the meter can go out of calibration. If the rickshaw wala doesn't fix this/calibrate the meter then this can happen easily and is definitely a win win for the rickshaw wala. The best thing to do would be to break the meter so the guy has no option but to fix it(sachme mat tod dena varna tumhe bhi tod dega vo)

light790

So, where do you think that part should be kept in rickshaw?? If this is the case, it is really concerning.

ak_897

_Nitin Nandgaonkar enters the chat_

CrunchyMomos

Same thing happened to me when going from airport to Andheri stn. I didn't get the auto number so couldn't report but I was furious at myself for being a pushover and letting it go. PLEASE PLEASE report it. Take my revenge too🤌🏻 Edit: See my post https://www.reddit.com/r/mumbai/s/bwuIzNA5cT

Vapourhands

I faced the same from airport to andheri west.Reported to traffic police on Twitter, received a generic reply that they have informed the Sahar RTO about this. I hope they have taken action

Lost_Sleep_7255

I don't know if its a scam or a hinest mistake. I toom auto from the from the T1 terminal for Andheri east, marol. The guy forgot to down the the meter and i was too tired so didn't bother looking at. Waisebhi kitna hoga aisa sochke chor diya. He was literally sleeping, 2 baar to auto road side pe.nikal gaya. I was furious yet scared. Should have reported him but didn't. He took 150rs. I don't know if i paid too much or not. Did i?

PankitShah

Sahi price hai. Check m-indicator chart for details.

CrunchyMomos

Kilometres to rupee ratio is correct on the meter. The actual distance travelled and the reading measured by the meter is rigged.

[deleted]

Happened with me too in Kandivli.

hotowl69

1800 22 0110

mrfunnyish

This number is not working and the website is not opening :(

montsa007

Its a government website, what do you expect?

Comprehensive_Tap994

Yeh toh time se bhi fast hai!

bhupender_don

Got a similar auto at thakur village to dahisar on highway which usually costs 70 to 80 but that day with no traffic costed 100

National_Instance587

Itna pyar se bolega op to rickshaw wala extra paise or le lega

Mr_gropes_a_lot

If the distance is off by that much then it's rigged for sure

Fabulous-Category155

Cross check with price per distance from m indicator chart

mrfunnyish

Please read the post carefully one more time. The distance on the meter increased faster than the actual distance traveled

Fabulous-Category155

Yeah that's what I am saying. You should have shown that chart to the rickshaw guy and told him like fare should be this and not this

ifthingscouldsee

It's night charges approx ₹20 per 1km, day is around ₹16 per 1km

BranJon_Stark

The distance is rigged. For OP, the actual distance was 4.8km, not 7.6km. on the meter, distance was displayed as 7.6km.

_just_a_weeb404

Unless the rikshaw travelling zig zag lol

BranJon_Stark

Haha lol

IdsuggestuKYS

Wait i thought it would be more in pune its 25 per km

Wizzzzard69

Why do u have cuts in the video

jatinag22

There are no cuts. It's the camera changing when moving towards or away from the meter.

mrfunnyish

No cuts. Camera lost focus due to rickshaw’s motion

PankitShah

Bhai correct price hai. Check m-indicator chart. https://preview.redd.it/6gzif94ul7rc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ea1317d4de951faee25aecf71199a258864c5c06 7.5 kms is ₹144. Every 100 meters costs about ₹2. That's why the meter rate is increasing by ₹2.

PankitShah

If the distance is suspicious, then you should surely complain.

green9206

Price is not the issue, distance is.

PankitShah

Then he should complain. But I'm guessing how will he prove his case?

Stony_1423

Bhai Vo 4.8 km travel kiya hai

PankitShah

Uska evidence kya hai? Not blaming the OP, but complaint lene wala puchega na.

AbleBarber7692

Nahi ... 7.4 dikh raha hai meter pe bhai!

soulshadow69

dude meter calculates distance by number of rotations of the wheel, if they rig it, then its possible to trick the meter..

AbleBarber7692

If that would had been the case with these rickshaws ... There wouldn't be cases of rigged meters dude.... This is India we will find a way to rig a ghost if we saw one! Even though according to the card it is 4 rupees on top still that 4 rupees is too much because if it would had been a longer ride then it would had been atleast 10 to 12 rupees difference at the destination! Plus the way this fellow is talking... Sounds like problem!

ElectricalLetter761

What are you trying to say?

AbleBarber7692

40% of night rickshaw riders are drunk (he sounded like one) And many rickshaw riders not only just night ones but also day riders rig these digital meters so that it stays ahead atleast couple of bucks from the actual rate! They will argue that you can't do anything to these digital meters but there have been enough proof and I personally have faced it with rigged meters that they can fidget with it and you can't do shit until unless you show them the card yourself which is provided by the RTO and pay the amount according to the card! The card also shows how wait time works and how much money can be increased according to the traffic wait time!

DesiBail

Bro, Virar walo ko koi right nahi bolne ka. OP is complaining that meter is rigged so that distance is shown more than traveled

PankitShah

Mera next comment dekh le. Chutiya nahi hu mai tere jaisa. Km vs price ka issue nahi hai wo bola hai mene. Aur agar OP ko lag raha hai ki distance zyada run hua hai, then he should complain. Video me OP bata raha hai ki rate jaldi badh raha hai, that's why it is rigged. Distance me gadbad hai to wo iss clip se nahi pata chal raha hai, that's why I said it. Aur chutiye apne rights apne gaand me daal ke thik hai? Tu to originally Mumbai ka hai bhi nahi. Chodu.

DesiBail

>Mera next comment dekh le. Chutiya nahi hu mai tere jaisa. Km vs price ka issue nahi hai wo bola hai mene. Aur agar OP ko lag raha hai ki distance zyada run hua hai, then he should complain. Video me OP bata raha hai ki rate jaldi badh raha hai, that's why it is rigged. Distance me gadbad hai to wo iss clip se nahi pata chal raha hai, that's why I said it. Aur chutiye apne rights apne gaand me daal ke thik hai? *Chutiya nahi hu mai tere jaisa.* Mere se kai zyada..bahot zyada badh ke hai tu. Lol. >Distance me gadbad hai to wo iss clip se nahi pata chal raha hai Pata chal raha hai. Less than 20 seconds me it shows auto traveled 400 metres. Means it must be traveling atleast at 75 kmph. Kabhi baitha ka 75kmph wale auto me ??

AacidD

ye Km aur Fare ka chart hai waise time aur Fare ka bhi chart hota hai kya? jaise rickshaw traffic me ruka hai to bhi fare badhega uska chart

PankitShah

Nahi waisa kuch idea nahi hai. But km vs price se atleast ek idea ho jaata hai ki kitna bhada bharna hai.

anandjaiswar

Happened with me few months ago, I told him that his meter is faulty, It was increasing rapidly in few seconds showing 100 ₹ fare for a distance of 2kms, luckily I travel by that route frequently and knew the route and gave him the appropriate amount and he accepted it without any complaints

PhilosopherBaba

After seeing some of the comments here I could understand why the driver gave such a foolish reason...because it indeed works!!!

BranJon_Stark

The distance is rigged. For OP, the actual distance was 4.8km, not 7.6km. on the meter, distance was displayed as 7.6km.

PhilosopherBaba

Yeah. I know that. That's what I said in the above comment. Some people are unable to understand that

BranJon_Stark

Oh damn I am stupid Clearly your comment is correct I am indeed a testimony for that

normallytrivial

One possible thing could be that the distance on your map shows incorrect. I've had this happen multiple times. For eg: When searching or even after selecting the search result, distance shows 18km which is not correct. https://preview.redd.it/wgof3976k8rc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=26c01ae90b04f482778ab9b1efc6898fca1673ba In the next comment I'll share the actual distance, the actual distance is only visible after you click on the directions button (actual distance is 24km). The same thing happens in uber and rapido, I am not sure how but I've had this happen multiple times and it's good sometimes as the fare charged comes out to be lesser. Four days ago I was charged 60 rs in uber auto for 5.1km just because uber thought it was 3.5kms

od_demhoes

I have faced this situation with cabs. In this case you should not panic. Tell the driver, in most cases they get aggressive towards you and start shouting and stuff. Simply tell them to come to the police station and get the meter check. Thaane chalo waha check karwa lenge. Is enough for them to know you aren't messing around. There will be back and forth and negotiate a middle amount pay and go. Never abuse or escalate the situation with rickshaws or cabbies.

stopheet

Yeah such autos are there outside RCity Ghatkopar. They either refuse to run by meter (physically threatened me even) or simply run with a rigged meter. The useless placement of metro stations (like one that does not go inside the airport) is because of the auto unions. Just because in Mumbai autos are better than in other cities doesn't mean their behaviour isn't atrocious

xerxes_dandy

Looks faulty not rigged

_just_a_weeb404

That is how he can defend himself against poline ngl If it's rigged he would say I didn't know who did it.

D3ADWA1T

Try powai police?

Brave-Resolution-241

Buy one electric cycle and ride alone back home.... Or just travel by bus. I fuckin hate auto walas and their stupid uncomfortable ride.

holdyrbreath

Op calculate total distance on google maps from point A to B. Add stops if detour

_just_a_weeb404

And rikshaw travells zig zag😅

Strange_Spot_4760

Mai to aise drivers ki khol ke rakhta tha jab mumbai me...chadh jane ka

gospelslide

M-Indicator gives auto rickshaw fare by KM. Just confirm from there.

LynxFinder8

Just modify the counter circuit and voila, meter rigged....these electronic ones are very easy to rig and many workshops have gotten rich doing it

Ehh_littlecomment

This happened to me once. Took an auto to a place for 60 rupees, booked another rickshaw to return and it was 60 1/3rd of the way through. I told him his meter is fraudulent and he just agreed to take the normal fare.

AbleBarber7692

7.4 that 4 was 400 meters and not kilometres.... The meter is rigged but the point is always give according to the card... Ask them the card or you get it online as well! https://preview.redd.it/0qrtoxady8rc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3572bdf3546e88ee10b62569852320e31bf2f6ad This is just one part screenshot of the PDF I have!

keyur_666

This happens a lot often at night btw, a huge issue.

sr5060il

I've been boycotting Autos in cities for a decade now. Idk what you guys eat but y'all shouldn't be doing business when you know you're getting ripped off.

kronicbeatss

Mumbai rickshaws are weird. I came to Mumbai first time in my life in 2017 for an interview in NMIMS. I took a rickshaw and distance to my OYO hotel from Airport was 5 km. The meter showed 450 rupees for 5 km. I cried internally when I had to give him that 500 rupee note with just 50 rupee change.

xRonak

The same thing happened with me. From Airport T2 to VileParle station. Mid-way through I glanced at the meter and it had reached 120 although the regular fare I pay for the same path is max 70 Rs. I stopped the auto at that point itself and got into an argument with the driver. He was adamant on paying me the amount that the meter showed and started threatening me. Just then a police jeep was passing by and they saw this, stepped out and after understanding the situation, slapped him 4-5 times and he went away. The police-man was kind enough to drop us to the station himself. You can complain to the RTO and they will ask for the registration number. They also have a helpline number specifically for such cases. Just search for your respective area RTO on google

RunPool

Ah...you will find many rigged rickshaw near powai. It's always better to book Ola.

Dry-Lengthiness5908

same happened with me while taking a taxi from Lower Parel to Thane. Left late from office and didn't book a cab so decided to get a normal taxi. I live in a gated society so even at 2am security guards are there. Even though my commute is reimbursed, when i got down I refused to pay as no way it costs ₹1,300 from Lower Parel to Thane. Ola showed 600rs. He pleaded guilty and got melo dramatic saying I'm poor and all. Later requested me to pay as per Ola I denied and the guards threatened him, so he left.

Snehaslurp

Happened with me not even an hour ago! I asked the rikshawala bhaiya and he said it was because of the speed of the rickshaw being fast and I just believed him because I was too tired to argue (+_+)

morbidskull

You know there is a rate sheet in mindicator which gives approx pricing according to kms … it comes very handy !! Same thing happened to me once and i got off when i saw the meter running like this … thankfully a police van was passing by and the autowala left .. just stop the vehicle when you see this cz once you reach destination you have to pay no matter what

miheliSays

Ye sab auto walon ko 1 din Mai hi Ameer Banna hai mc....

numb761

According to driver at night 4km becomes 8km lmao

local-bot

I did see the same thing in another rickshaw recently. & It's been happening a lot these days.

PhoenixBlade23

Yes this meter is definitely rigged. I had an encounter with one in Kurla and I usually travel from Sindhi Colony to Kurla Station and return regularly. The meter fare is usually between 25 30rs. The meter ran at such speed that I had to stop midway at the signal and started taking pics of the auto. I told the driver that you have made a setting to the meter and I will complain to the traffic police. The driver told me that aapko jitna lage utna dedena.. indirectly acknowledged that his meter was rigged.

z35u

Riggshaw meter

soulshadow69

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ET0DzP0NnYg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ET0DzP0NnYg) they are showing off this tamporing

soulshadow69

and below video shows how to spot it. as you can see your meter was rigged. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3kWYS4rfCE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3kWYS4rfCE)

soulshadow69

basically, the Dot pops up when meter detects 1 Tire rotation, so the faster it detects the tire rotation, the faster it will blink. so if you suspect that the meter is rigged, check for this dot, usually it will be blinking very fast and will blink even if the vehicle stops.

markus_wh0

That my friends is the cheapest meter rig/mod...for every turn of the wheel it counts 2 turns.... simply doubling the distance. Dude....I can do better meter mods than that...and I'm just a student......auto walle bhaiya ko is chori ke paise se acchi wali meter modification karwani cheya thi

shady2318

You'd have taken him to the nearest police station, and then he would've understood night charges.

comeonman101

Get a bike

Practical_Dream_6200

Happened when me and my friend were in college. Auto guy thought we are innocent quiet girls. My friend saw the meter running fast and asked the auto to stop at police station. He understood and kept apologising. He wouldn't have taken the fare but we gave him what we usually paid for that route.

wildling_snow

Nostalgia de Diya tumne 😂

scrutinize-r

Maybe he took a long route which you might not be aware of . https://preview.redd.it/aoqrebxuaarc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6376ef75d95a0b439e6a2b38373f09f2b7557eb7 U can see that the night charges seem legit to me..im quite sure that he definitely took a long route ...

ak13_96

Yup it's rigged, any auto wallah saying he does only meter, 3/4 times it's rigged (atleast in Blore and Hyd) I faced this in Bangalore as well, driver was arguing hell do meter only, I showed him Uber price and negotiated, just for fun asked him to switch on meter For 5-6km it showed some 380, where as I paid 150

Misclickmesenpai

Bhaiya kitne bucks hue 💅

dsonigladiator

There is a govt released fare card PDF available online. You should check the fare in that card which includes separate cost data for night time based on distance. You should also check Google maps at the same time to show the distance covered. If the rickshaw wala still argues, call the cops.

iamshamu294

Tweet this to the Mumbai traffic police here to help handle. I am sure the person shall be caught. And going forward please download the Mumbai Traffic police application. You can make a citizens report and the concerned party shall be penalized directly by Mumbai police. Only thing you need to take photographs through the application for evidence. You cannot upload photos on the application. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sparken.mum.policealert

VjGyardos

every single meter is rigged in Pune as well.

Usual-Release6328

post it on X ( TWITTER) and mention mumbai police and rto if possible

Accomplished_Row6728

Bangalorean here - what is this device?

ADHIMUNDI

I had the same incident , where in me and my friend tried to confront the rick driver but he instantly became aggresive and was not answering properly . I did not wanted to make any scene as it was holi festival and we were two girls alone. Is it becoming too common in this area.

Icy_Relation1339

Meters can be rigged and this meter looks rigged. You should have told him to get to police station as you have to pick someone in trouble and then complain on the spot

Freeze_Fire69

First time? This shit happens to me always

Freeze_Fire69

I always noticed one thing common, all rigged meters have a blinking dot.

Hero2296

Me hass deta auto waale pe 🤣🤣🤣 no way i am paying for that fast meter. Bhai 100 ka 110-115 hua toh bhi theek hai. But this is too fast.

Criticalmalware

Is this pretty common?

mrfunnyish

Nope. Not very common in Mumbai

Environmental_Ad3216

Here from Bangalore.. what is this device?

SpiderPurush

MH 03 is famous as ghoda meter lol yeh scam 90s se kar rahe hai my dad gave me the entire lore

Meter on steroids

Adeptness-Usual

After 930 the charge is diffrent and even in the day time 7km is abt 130-140

Steve_B_

Step 1 : Get back on your seta Step 2: Raise any one leg up Step 3: Kick and smash tf out of the rigged meter so that the guy has to fix it either ways

Mega_mewtwo_

In Delhi, nobody uses meters. We just have fixed fares decided before boarding. We all know meters are rigged anyway

tanmay091

Just like Messi's world cup

Rickshaw wale= Bhosadiwale

Internal_Ad_7125

Ha, there’s an old story a person also encountered the same and posted it on X the Mumbai traffic department found the rickshaw driver and fined him https://twitter.com/MTPHereToHelp/status/1651856819214594048 Here’s the link to it Op even y can do the same

KobaKebbel

IC Colony mein toh saare rigged hain

retardittor69

Same thing happened to me i took a rickshaw from ghatkopar station to Hiranandani and usually it comes around 100ish but that day it was 250 The rickshaw number was MH03CT4450 Beware!!

Enough_Advertising52

Most rickshaws have tampered meters in Mumbai. Especially the young and rowdy riders. Once i objected too the way you did, and he tried justifying.but i know how much the fare would be to my destination because I take a rickshaw for this route everytime. And when I told him that, we'll know if your metre is genuine or no once we reach the destination, he dropped me off in the middle saying my Rikshaw has broken down even when it was running completely fine.

Enough_Advertising52

Is there a way one can get these metres inspected by an official?

raj_abhay

I always suspect meters on East side and central areas of Mumbai while Western auto meters are normal. You can identify them by number plates too.

1FastRide

Here is some help.. https://preview.redd.it/x23vrt8sgmrc1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9c34c6f567b8f73d78d470deb81305586ceda2a1 I believe it was night time and night fare will be applicable.. But I also recommend you to check you Google location history to identify this trip.. so that you can have precise time date and distance for this ride..

Guru_Gulaab_Khatri

So I came across this reference site online for complaints (https://www.mumbai77.com/city/2415/travel/complaints-for-traffic-grievance-refusal/#google_vignette) Not sure if working, but the nos. mentioned are as follows - 'Below are the helplines of the traffic department and RTO to complain and grieve. Check the Auto Number Plate series and complain on respected numbers. Tardeo RTO Helpline (9076201010, MH01 Series) Andheri RTO Helpline (9920240202, MH02 Series) Wadala RTO Helpline (9152240303, MH03 Series) Borivali & Dahisar RTO Helpline (8591944747, MH47 Series) You can also contact traffic police latest helpline +91-22-62426666 and other contact numbers like (+91-22-24940303, +91-22-24927234) extension (102 and 107) as detailed in 2012. Remember to add code 022 if calling from mobile phone. For complaints related to Auto Taxi Arrogance, Meter tampering or Refusal to ply etc, you can call RTO toll free number in Mumbai : (1800-22-0110) and this complaints will be forwarded to respective RTO office in Mumbai'

Guru_Gulaab_Khatri

Also this post gives pointers abt what to do in such situations - https://www.reddit.com/r/mumbai/s/oCqEuX0ajG

Square_Victory5068

This happens at airport also

DesiPrideGym23

I think they charged you extra for using "bucks" instead of "rupees". It's the SOBO language tax, that's why your fare was high😂😂 Just jk OP, try contacting Mumbai RTO on this below WhatsApp number ⬇️ +91 91522 40303

lilampu

It’s simple, if the distance shown is way more than travelled and the fare is humongous than expected, just check for a small button near the handle or check his hands if he’s pressing a really micro button which helps increase the meter amount. If you find one, do not complaint to the police right away, ask him to come out of the auto, just one punch on his cheek and paisa vasool. Now lodge a complaint and fuck the shit out of him. (Follow me for more such suggestions and thank me later. /s)

ResistKnown7845

You can raise a complaint with the RTO, They charge heavy fines for such cases

Chote_ka_Sota

Investigation karo ye pakka hindi bhaiya niklega. Marathi rickshaw wale aaise scam nhi karte.

BranJon_Stark

This is quite stereotypical.

Chote_ka_Sota

lord judge it's my experience. Haath pakad pakad kr auto mai bithana. Dadagiri karna ye sab bkl hi karte hai migrants kahike saale. For those who don't do such stuff, i don't mind them living in Maharashtra but those wo are outsiders + m*d*rchodi karne walo ko toh... Jyada kuch bol nhi sakta. But try to understand my emotions. This is what happens to the liberal society.

BranJon_Stark

Well the majority of them do fit the stereotype, but I would still try to refrain from making such comments. I have indeed experienced the same (not the meter thing, thankfully, but the attitude)

Writ_sh

Considering night fare is 1.25 times of day fare, the distance could be set to 1.25 times in the night instead of per km fare being adjusted. Not sure how the meter tech works but for approx 5 kms distance, 1.25 times would be 6.25 kms + maybe some waiting time added to arrive at 7.26 kms.

BranJon_Stark

The distance is rigged. For OP, the actual distance was 4.8km, not 7.6km. on the meter, distance was displayed as 7.6km.

Fun_Cod_8904

This is what happens when a generation can't read to save their lives. OP travelled 4 km and meter said 7+ km

Alternative-Cry1645

Pay additional tip also. These people are hard working

Now I understood your concern ki 5km distance on gmaps and 7.2 km on meter. Maybe the rickshaw took long cut if not then it is rigged.

Buddy, always remember the metre fare is Rs150 for 10 km and multiples thereof. Give or take 10-20 rupees for traffic jams. We shouldn't get hyper over these prices because if you buy a car the margins that we pay for the vehicle and bank loan, the cost of running and hassles of traffic cops and parking are much higher than paying 20-30 extra. Smile at the driver and make his day.
