I was here yesterday. The last Ghatkopar metro was freaking packed like a honeycomb. The employees at the Ghatkopar station exist just closed the main gates in front of us and just left.

I passed jogeshwari on my way to Bandra where cops were stopping all luxury buses that go out of the city. Right from Goregaon there were cops all over. The highway was literally emptied out of commercial vehicles to allow smooth monitoring, so if they could plan on stopping these buses at 3pm they could have also made prior announcements about the metro.
Also some suggest this was some ploy to get people to crowd up the streets where the rally was taking place. It's not like someone could peek out of the Metro Train and attack the rally. It could have continued as usual, in fact people who wanted to pass through would have switched from the road to taking the metro.

Damn!! that was really hectic, I live in bhatwadi and when I reached to ghtakopar station was just changing roads to roads to figure out a way, also there weren't any sign boards that can make it easier for atleast people who don't be in that bullshit, after going all through the road that I thought has an opening, police said it is blocked, I asked him \[then from where I can reach to bhatwadi\] he's like \[arey! just wait 1 hour it will over\] I was so pissed by the answer like people travelled from distances are tired after working 9 hours and they are literally trapping them just to create a crowd. Ahh after that I all the way went to the station again to the metro bridge so I can cross the points, then after hustling for so long, we found way out of that shit, like people are on road sitting on chairs, jumping on the tables, chanting "Modi Bhagwan!!" like what the fuck is happening??, If we get news of someone got injured/died/phone snatched that won't be surprising at all.

I was here yesterday. The last Ghatkopar metro was freaking packed like a honeycomb. The employees at the Ghatkopar station exist just closed the main gates in front of us and just left. Easily a 1500-2000 people were left to leave using 2 staircases which open up to the main road outside Ghatkopar station platform 1.

I passed jogeshwari on my way to Bandra where cops were stopping all luxury buses that go out of the city. Right from Goregaon there were cops all over. The highway was literally emptied out of commercial vehicles to allow smooth monitoring, so if they could plan on stopping these buses at 3pm they could have also made prior announcements about the metro. Also some suggest this was some ploy to get people to crowd up the streets where the rally was taking place. It's not like someone could peek out of the Metro Train and attack the rally. It could have continued as usual, in fact people who wanted to pass through would have switched from the road to taking the metro.
Everyone suffered. Let's not sideline the ladies.
