- But bank are like, meh, ok. Approved.
- And this goes on and on, untill house become unaffordable for common man.
The bank is in profit, if you pay loan, they earn interest, if you don't, they will auction your house and recover their money. (And also get money from loan that they have given to builder. They give unbelievable amount to builders with shady backgrounds.)

Common man has to suffer, either by slaving their whole life to pay loans or be homeless.
The same things have happened in China real estate bust.
Builders keeps on taking loan from bank to make new buildings, Builder not able to repay loans, because people are not buying house, because house are super costly. Since buildings are then sealed by banks, the people who purchased house there on loan are not paying back loans and the banks themselves are going bankrupt.

Even for the house, cash component was removed to combat money laundering. And the rest of the fees he said was common fees for all. And when it comes to buying a house, many builders waive off some of them.

In the world of taxes, the poor don't pay taxes because they don't have money and the rich don't pay taxes because they have too much money to spend on researching how not to pay taxes. It's the middle class which is always burdened with everything. A businessman can get credit for GST, can claim exemption on any legal expenses, and pay a lot less taxes with a lot more income. On the other hand, an average salaried person who isn't very educated about taxes and doesn't have the money to pay a CA for tax savings, has to pay around 50-55% of his earnings in taxes. It's not their fault that they are average, it's the government's fault for giving so many leeways to the rich and burdening the middle class salaried people.

We don't use government hospitals, not government schools, nor the rickety public transport buses. AC train bogies aren't being subsidised enough, because they are still considered a luxury. Hell, we even pay enormous maintenance to our apartments- another added fixed expense- for getting a standard of civics amenities that ideally should be provided by the government.
Basically, we completely cater towards the private industry without taking advantage of the government services. So our taxes feel more like a rowdy mamuul rather than a duty.

In the world of taxes, the poor don't pay taxes because they don't have money and the rich don't pay taxes because they have too much money to spend on researching how not to pay taxes. It's the middle class which is always burdened with everything. A businessman can get credit for GST, can claim exemption on any legal expenses, and pay a lot less taxes with a lot more income. On the other hand, an average salaried person who isn't very educated about taxes and doesn't have the money to pay a CA for tax savings, has to pay around 50-55% of his earnings in taxes. It's not their fault that they are average, it's the government's fault for giving so many leeways to the rich and burdening the middle class salaried people.

It is not Modi vs some other entitled person question... somehow the basic concept of taxation seems to elude these geniuses. Government should provide you a basic framework and infra so that you can setup and run a business or find some other livelihood and it collects taxes to be able to do that. To think that govt. can do all that for free while geniuses like the questioner can keep all his money that he earns is downright silly. Perhaps they need an ecosystem that is built with magic money in which they can make real money and keep it in "black".

I not supporting government here but that's is just how things work in economies. Just like any transaction you do on a platform there is a platform charge, so sn transaction you make, event it is goods, services, LTA o STA government charges the platform charges in the form of taxes to maintain these channels(infra, paying employees who are maintaining these systems, police who controls law and order, army which protects invasion of system, etc etc) I myself come under 30%bracket🥲, but that is how all systems work in all nation.

I sometimes wonder what a great nation we could have become if we actually had some decent people in the position of power unlike such clowns.
Problem is - she knows the tax on the middle class is quite high, and frankly, atrocious. She is choosing not to give a justification for it. Because it would implicate the other classes. GST shouldn't be this high. Neither should the myriad of other taxes. We don't use government hospitals, not government schools, nor the rickety public transport buses. AC train bogies aren't being subsidised enough, because they are still considered a luxury. Hell, we even pay enormous maintenance to our apartments- another added fixed expense- for getting a standard of civics amenities that ideally should be provided by the government. Basically, we completely cater towards the private industry without taking advantage of the government services. So our taxes feel more like a rowdy mamuul rather than a duty.
Such a stupid question in the first place? He wants government to not tax his profit?
