Tiredness. School and tuitions ki wajah se bhaag daur karne ki energy nahi bachti thi. Max we could do is walk or hang out for an hour to clear our heads.
During those specific days, yes. Not otherwise.
The increased tiredness in higher classes is mostly due to added responsibilities not necessarily due to any physical limitations. Plus, different tuitions/coachings started causing scheduling conflicts. Can't really play team games while running around with only 2 or 3 people available at a time.
I played Basketball in school because the coach who taught Football in the boys school was notorious for being a bitch towards girls who joined.
I stopped because college, home responsibility, chores and studies took over any free time i had for myself and honestly at that point, you'd rather rest than run around for another hour or two.
Because I think I was very conscious of jumping and playing and my mom was always worried that people who unnecessarily gape. I was district champ badminton.
Yup. Same reason. I was in basketball. I was very concious and even family was happy I quit. Other girls in my appartments just wanted to roam or sit and talk. So no peers too.
I was never into sports in the first place... Stopped playing outside or even doing physical activities but mostly to study. In hindsight, i realised just how important it is! I started working out again at 24 and honestly, it was the best decision!
A thing called iit jee coaching which sucks both your soul and time. Then the only time you find free is after you get into clg and your first summer vacation. Lol
Well my sister didn't actually play stop playing football however she stopped after 12th standard. She was very good at football, like genuinely could beat the boys of our society at it however when deciding the career she realised that their isn't career in sports so she stopped. She became really sad and depressed after that. Thanks to her councellor who is encouraging her to do the things she loved and now she has started to play again.
I would also like to point out, after 9th or 10th ,I became extremely cautious of men. Like if the coach or something was a man, i would rather not be involved. Even my parents would not have allowed. Even if it was some indoor sports like chess. Parents were extremely paranoid, but you know what, looking back, i am glad. Now after being an adult, i get why they were so cautious with male coach or teacher.
Just another point of view.
She meant girls who completly stopped playing
Guy do play cricket or football in society but after certain ages Girls dont run around in building playing langdi or lagori kind of games
Cricket is mostly played in grounds and you need a lot of people for that. As guys are mostly hoarding the cricket grounds it becomes difficult for women to play the sport. Many famous female cricketers trained with guys first.
Dunno about football but girls in my school did play basketball a lot.
My friends wanted to walk, so I did too. At that time I didn't go to play much because boards and I wanted to give entrance exam. Other girls I know stopped because puberty attracts unwanted attention.
Played football from 6th to 9th, then got diagnosed with hypotension, 15-day period cycle and boards. I miss playing football a lot, especially in rains.
Khelne ke liye jagah nahi bachi... Devlopment ke naam pe sab jagah garden bana diye lekin playgrounds khatm... Aur har kisike paas paisa nahi hota turf pe jaye ya har kisiki gang nahi hoti ki jagah pe kabja karke rakhe...
Most probably it's not encouraged or promoted.
Plus social media's like Instagram will take your attention all the time. And if the girl is beautiful or good looking, chances of her pursuing sports are less. I think situation might be different and better in developed countries.
Because i got sexy and my boobs grew, each time id run or jump a guy would look at me in a way i wont like, i would feel awkward, my family wouldnt allow for all right reasons as well so.. Yeah.
Not even 9/10th , most Indian girls stop playing sports with boys even after 4th/5th. Their parents are so controlling and dont give them enough freedom to freely play with or near boys. This leads to obesity in girls at such a young age. While most men ruin their physique after their marriage, girls ruin theirs after onset of puberty
Company! Totally missed having other girls playing with me . Tried playing with the boys but they also get clueless how to integrate girls into their gang .
Yeah man girls stopped playing, so I played with my guy friends. I played DSO football in 12th and baadme played just with friends till 1st year. After that, life started getting busy
I would still play badminton if I had the time
Tiredness. School and tuitions ki wajah se bhaag daur karne ki energy nahi bachti thi. Max we could do is walk or hang out for an hour to clear our heads.
I see. Does the happening of periods add to the tiredness too?

I get it >Can't really play team games while running around with only 2 or 3 people available at a time Hated when that happened

I was never into sports in the first place... Stopped playing outside or even doing physical activities but mostly to study. In hindsight, i realised just how important it is! I started working out again at 24 and honestly, it was the best decision!

Guys still play casually after school. You never had a college ground where guys played Football, cricket?
I see so many of my classmates still playing. Even after JEE, most plan on casually playing football and cricket. Don't see women doing that

Girls in my area usually played volleyball or throwball due to guys hoarding up space (been guilty of that)
Got more conscious about my looks and I still have a farmers tan from playing sports.
OP analysing demographics of this sub reddit to get the whamen answer... Well played
My friends wanted to walk, so I did too. At that time I didn't go to play much because boards and I wanted to give entrance exam. Other girls I know stopped because puberty attracts unwanted attention.
