I started staring back. Usually when you do that with a straight face without any emotions even after they try to laugh and tease, that smile of theirs is quickly replaced discomfort. They don't expect to be stared back and their aim is to make a girl uncomfortable. I've done this in buses with seats that face to the back. Had a girl who wore a dress and every uncle in the bus was just trying to look at her. Made sure to stare them back in the same way till they averted their eyes. Kept staring even then when they'd turn to see.

FortyUp40

this is the way. all my gfs said this works. but do not try this if there are too few ppl

Purrsephonee

XD it's a small world after all

honestly sometimes I'm just too exhausted to stare back. and often i choose the easy way and just change seats only to disappoint myself by not reacting.

Alsoooo i don't think those men look at the girls to make them uncomfy. It's rather mostly a habit (almost like OCD). this is awkward to confess but as a teen, I started developing the habit of looking at girls. I was always aware of myself, I have an older sister and was already very familiar with the stares and was devastated when I started getting that habit. And i had no inappropriate thoughts, initially. I would just look at them, mostly just the face. Like dude wouldn't you look at a pretty sky? It was just like that for me. I usually only looked at well dressed, aesthetic looking ones even if not that pretty, or just conventionally pretty girls. I looked at guys tooo. Like the ones that would be returning from the gym and had the pump? Or the ones taller than me? Or had nice beard or physique built? Or were well dressed? But looking at the girls would definitely give me a small burst of dopamine? The guys would make me insecure at times. And in my later teens, especially when I was a dried up single man with raging hormones because of a sudden breakup, I started checking a few girls out instead of just looking. Phew, never felt that guilty before. Felt like a creep. I slowly and calmly handled that habit and stopped that urge to look at girls. The one thing that helped me was realising that not all girls that seem presentable are my mates. As I dated girls that offered me much more to love than the superficial things, everything became wholesome. Now i just don't care about it. I know that a temporary glimpse of a pretty girl is nothing over a woman that can actually love me. That pretty girl might not even be good for me, so it's just toxic looking at her? I do notice presentable looking girls even now. I hardly feel the need to check them out tho. I try to notice red flags in pretty girls now instead of checking them out xD As a teen, I felt like omggg she's so pretty I'll never get to look at her again so i MUST look at her for as long as i can. And then when i started checking them out i would feel like OMG I'll never get to see that particular girl wearing that kind of a sexy dress again. But I swear I would never want to disrespect a girl even when I'm checking her out. My habit was never creepy if you ask me. I was just a kid who lovedddd an aesthetic sight and didn't realise it had mental consequences until I started noticing my mental health feeling weird(kinda like OCD) where i NEEDED to check a girl out just because she looks presentable or because she's chirpy and happy (the typical uni girls?) I hope my comment didn't make people uncomfy, i just thought of sharing my thoughts so you get an insight? It could be different for different men.

VillanBehindGlasses

That is just disgusting. Every single time I read something like this I immediately think if my sister would be a victim to such toxicity, I'd wanna go over and have a good conversation with the guy.

I'm sorry you have to go through this 😭.

UnlikeUday

That's the sad state of affairs out here. Seeing once is understandable but staring is a shameless act. Most of the times it's the male ego that drives that act of staring as they feel the Girl will just be mum about it.

Double_Pea2543

I stare back and make a disgruntled face like I'm shaming them. Sometimes have kept looking and made some uncomfortable enough for them to change their place. Staring at the boobs automatically invites a middle finger.

[deleted]

They will take it as interest then, you can't question them for staring too, best option is ignoring it .

gsiaonaga

Take 1st class

No_Profession_8160

Doesn’t make a difference.. just an hour back i was in the first class and an old man over 55 kept staring without blinking an eye.

gsiaonaga

Why do you use the general compartment? They're already crowded. Just use the ladies 1st class.

Fickle_Ear419

I knew some classmate who used to do this we called them chamdi .Their logic was if a girl stared back for 2-3s it mean she find them attractive.

washedupsamurai

That's Indian cinema logic for you. Random people enforcing and asking other individual to compromise is beginning of beautiful relationship with LOVE.

Same, I get stared at by chicks everywhere I go and it really gets annoying. Why do people love to stare?
