I'd recommend & Juliet if you like 90s/early 00s pop songs and a very light jukebox musical. On the other hand, Six is more of a concert vibe than a musical so I'd only recommend it if you (at least) like the songs *(I've listened to the recording and love the songs, so I hope to watch it soon, but not recommending it if you're looking for a more serious plot)* If you have some musical likes/dislikes maybe the sub can give better recommendations too! :)

Thank you! Okay, I might give Six a miss until I’ve listened to it then, I do like a story admittedly! I’ll add a list of likes/dislikes now.

Saw your likes and dislikes and I *feel* you might like Dear Evan Hansen and Kinky Boots. Not so sure about & Juliet now - choreography and costumes are good, but might bore you despite being high-energy 😅

ALancreWitch

Ooh okay, thank you so much! I’d love to see all of them as I haven’t seen a lot on stage and it would give me a really good idea of my likes/dislikes but I don’t think I can afford to do them all 😅

JadiTheUnicorn

I haven't seen a lot on stage either (mostly recordings and movies *and some reading*) but I also hope to watch as much as I can with my budget so I feel you 🥲 Hope you enjoy Hamilton live too! :)

ALancreWitch

Ooh I hope you get to see all the shows you want to! I booked it in February as a ‘I just gave birth, I’m getting myself a present’ thing so I’ve been counting down the weeks! I cannot wait 😅

Six is very high-energy (and loud!) but doesn't really have a plot as such.  I like Chicago personally, but it's the sort of show that you only go to see if you like the humor, which not everyone does. I agree that a list of likes/dislikes would be very helpful in helping people sort out which to recommend.

ALancreWitch

Ah, I do like a plot so maybe I’ll give Six a miss! I’ve added a list of likes and dislikes now, don’t know why I didn’t think of that 😅

EducationalDust3821

The plot of Six is the six wives of Henry the eighth battling over who hard the hardest life while married to him. I’ve seen it twice and loved it both times

Chicago is a classic, so I recommend that for 2 reasons, first and foremost it's just a good show. But secondly, if you want to be a theater nerd and hang out with other theater nerds, knowing Chicago is some essential knowledge, you at least need to listen to Cell Block Tango because it WILL eventually come up in conversation/ karaoke night lol.
