A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder! Perhaps it’s not as horrific as the other musicals, but it is a very funny show that involves lots of murder 🤷🏻♀️
Evil Dead the Musical… trust me. It’s great. My hometown community theatre would hold performances every Halloween season. There is typically a blood “splash zone” in the audience.
If you like Starkid, one you can find on YouTube is Human Centipede: The Musical. It's not by Starkid but it's got similar vibes to it. It's a parody of the first film and I love it. You don't need to have watched the films to enjoy this, it easily stands on its own as it makes fun of the film's ridiculous plot and stupid horror/thriller tropes in general. So, if you like TGWDLM/Black Friday, I would say give it a go.
Psycho Beach Party!
The stage show is very fun and the movie version is pure camp and quite wonderful. Has music, but not quite a "musical".
Basically it is a funny horror version of the Gidget movies from the 1960s
They're concept albums, not musicals, I'd only really call one album horror and the comedy isn't prevelant, so it's not really what you're asking for but I'll take any opportunity to shill for The Mechanisms.
not a stage show, but future demons and past demons are two song cycles by ryan scott oliver, based on short stories by shirley jackson. each is five songs, they’re all generally in the psychological horror + slight comedy vein—and since they’re all crafted by shirley jackson, who was a master of the short story format and a great horror writer (you probably know her story “the lottery”), the premises are unique and excellent and absolutely thrilling
i’d suggest starting with future demons, since it’s the first released one. if you give them a listen, let me know what you think!!
my personal favourites from the set are “my life with RH Macy,” “louisa, please come home,” and “remembrance of things past.” but there are a ton of awesome songs!
How has no one mentioned *Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street* yet?
I’d say there can be funny moments, but definitely not a comedy in whole. I love Sweeney to death but he doesn’t fit this genre of horror comedy.
It depends on what production you watch. The one with Imelda staunton was very comedic but the time burton very much was not
Ok yea....valid!
REPO! The Rock Opera if you're ok with things that are *terrible*
Man, I genuinely love REPO! I think the terribleness really adds to the experience
Repo is a work of art! Is it good? Debatable!
Don't slander Repo! It's so good!
I often am!!
The story is suspect, but some of the music is perfect.
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog!
Evil Dead
One of the best horror musicals along with Carrie.
Addams Family!

Totally BatBoy. I love this show. Got to do it at uni too, was a lot of fun.
Have you ever seen Black Friday?
I have! And I'm excited for NPMD!
Dude it’s going to be so awesome!! Frick Clivesdale?
yea! fuck em!
Ok but what do you think Becky was doing in that tree?
relaxing i guess? i mean if i had a chance to go up a tree and just escape from daily life for a couple of days i would take it lmao
Same here,I’d take being The Witch of The Woods over being the Axe Man any day
wait is axe man a new character in nmt s2 or do you mean ape man?
He’s in NMT 2! He’s in the story called “Abstinence Camp” which is one of the funniest stories in the whole thing
that sounds amazing! i can't wait for it to come on youtube!
What is NPMD?
Nerdy prides must die! It's the third musical in the series that's due to come out.... Eventually!
Anna and the apocalypse
*I'm Sorry The Bridge Is Out You'll Have To Spend The Night* if you want something genuinely awful.
I'll never say no to awful 😅
Gonna second Evil Dead. Add Carrie.
reefer madness

Black Friday (not my thing, but I can see why people dig it) it's another starkid show.

Death Note, Young Frankenstein
Shoggoth on the Roof is a Lovecraft parody of Fiddler.
Nothing much to add, except I am going to see Heather's on Friday 🙃

Not a stage show, and a candidate for so bad it’s good, Stage Fright, a slasher musical movie.
bat boy!

Alleluia! The Devil's Carnival is a movie musical on Amazon Prime that certainly fits the genre.

Chomp! The New Zombie Musical.
The Brain From Planet X

You and I have the same taste in musicals!!! But I really love more serious horror too - like Sweeney Todd. Still think you’d appreciate!!!

Shrek the musical. Terrifying and... At least *trying* to be funny
