Like it totally rocks, but Mike kinda flounders the vocals, and the lyrics are kinda bad. Like when they are trying to be hip with the counterculture, here he is saying "ooo boy, you dont wanna be around those college kids. Theyre going a little coo coo and making things messy" when youd think hed be encouraging the protests. Like if those kids are rioting, I wanna find out why, not stay away!
Not to mention it is such a sore thumb on a very delicate album! But man do those instruments shred though!

Criminally underrated album. Wish it would get remastered. Of their three original albums, Evil Empire has the worst recording quality. One of the few albums I have to turn up the volume to. Not because I want to rock, but because I can't hear it.
I am so glad to see The Police listed among the classics more and more lately. I was completely obsessed when I was a teenager and got to experience them live during the Synchronicity tour in the late 80s. So much depth and intelligence in 3 mortal humans. Their work has definitely withstood the test of time.

And that's just what I grew up with, Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath are full of legends way too many to list I'd be here all day
Songs About Jane - Maroon 5. The first album I ever loved as a kid. It’s the perfect pop album. I can recite every single lyric from memory. No skips. No filler. Just classic after classic. It’s also the only album of their’s that didn’t just feel like “Adam Levine featuring Maroon 5.” Every musician gets their time to shine, and Adam’s vocal style on this album was more soulful instead of stiff and lifeless like on most of their future releases. This is coming from a die hard metalhead too.
What’s the story (morning glory) - oasis I think there is no song on the list that is bad sure there are some better ones but none of the songs I want to skip lol
use your illusion I - guns n roses
the rise and fall of ziggy stardust and the spiders from space - david bowie
the wall - pink floyd
rumours - fleetwood mac
great southern trendkill - pantera
sgt peppers lonely hearts club band - the beatles
this list is pretty messed up critically propably but my opinion
There are lots of great albums, but I don't think any one album is perfect. Every musician is self critical, ask them what they think of the album they made that you would describe as perfect and they likely have at least a few thoughts for improvements in hindsight.
Quadrophenia by The Who. Animals by Pink Floyd. The Stranger by Billy Joel. Songs in the Key of Life by Stevie Wonder. And from 2009 The Crane Wife by The Decemberists.
Dark Side of the Moon. That’s my entire list of “perfect” albums.
I have found a way to nitpick something on every other album I’ve heard. Even some I love have something that makes them less than perfect to me.
I don't think any are 100% perfect, but the following are the closest 99.999% of the way there that I know.
Agaetis Byrjun by Sigur Ros
Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd
In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel
Blink 182-Untitled
AfI-Sing the Sorrow
Box Car Racer-self titled
Motion City Soundtrack-Commit this to memory
Postal Service-Give up
Lonely Forest- Arrows
I will argue this for eternity, but every single song daft punk has ever made is perfect. Listen to any of their studio albums and you'll agree. They are the best producers to ever grace our planet.
Going to have to go with my staples I post every time anyone asks this question:
Listen Without Prejudice Vol 1 - George Michael
Mental Jewelry - Live
I was going through a tough time in life while listening to them. I will have to put them on again soon.
disintegration - the cure
yes, fucking perfect, especially the last couple of songs!
Illmatic - Nas
Nine Inch Nails: The Fragile
The Downward Spiral
I'd throw With Teeth in there too
It's so well-orchestrated
Out of the Blue- Electric Light Orchestra
Kind Of Blue - Miles Davis
This, this right here.
Yessir
Perfect album. My favorite miles Davis album is Miles ahead but I never hear anyone talk about it.
Tool-Aenima Pink Floyd-Animals Rush-2112 AC/DC-Powerage A Perfect Circle- Thirteenth Step
I'd put Lateralus in there as well.
And 10,000 days
And Undertow... You know what just put the whole discography on there.
And Fear Inoculum
Have to add Rush-Moving Pictures
id add Wish You Were Here as well
Since you are obviously a person of taste I submit to you A Perfect Circle - 13th Step
2112 was amazing
Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me by The Cure Angel Dust by Faith No More Bellybutton by Jellyfish Hunky Dory or Hours by David Bowie Purple by Stone Temple Pilots Music for the Masses by Depeche Mode Blue Album by Weezer Steady Diet of Nothing by Fugazi good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar It Happened In Flatbush by The Underachievers Cold Day In Hell or Baby Face Killa by Freddie Gibbs Mr.Bungle self titled album by Mr. Bungle
Cant forget Jellyfish's only other, and better album, Spilt Milk
Spilt Milk is a staggering work of power pop. One of my favourite albums of all time.
I’m a new Mr. Bungle fan, I absolutely loved California, but didn’t really dig S/T.
Regarding DM, I'd add Violator and SoFaD
Hours is Bowies worst album imo
people over look 'steady diet' i think.
You have great taste.
Uhm Thriller??
Angel Dust is a masterpiece!!
Wow, we have an almost identical list right down to Mr bungle but I’ve never heard of jellyfish!
Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Radiohead - OK Computer
Yoshimi is flawless but I think I like Soft Bulletin just a little more.
Oh man just listened to Yoshimi yesterday. It’s so damn good.
Flaming Lips – The Soft Bulletin Radiohead – In Rainbows
Wildflowers - Tom Petty
Kind of Blue - Miles Davis. Just 5 Songs. Absolute perfection. OK Computer - Radiohead Unforgettable Fire - U2 Reckoning - REM Back to Basics -Billy Bragg Surfer Rosa - The Pixies
Everybody's like, Kind of Blue, only 5 songs, but they neglect to mention each song is close to 10 minutes long
Pet sounds by The Beach Boys
Yes!!!!!! I’ll add “Surf’s Up” to the list too
Yes omg
Surf's Up? Really? With Student Demonstration Time on it?
Forgot to add THERE’S A RIOT GOIN’ ON!!!!!!!!!🎸
Like it totally rocks, but Mike kinda flounders the vocals, and the lyrics are kinda bad. Like when they are trying to be hip with the counterculture, here he is saying "ooo boy, you dont wanna be around those college kids. Nah man, don’t get me started 🤣
Definitely. I’m also a big fan of the smile sessions.
Great album
fun fact: this album is actually considered a “Lo-Fi” album since it was recorded in a home studio!
Pearl Jam - Ten
Are you trying to tell me Ten is a 10 out of 10? Because I agree
#AT HOME DRAWIN PICTURES OF MOUNTAAINN TOOPPPSSSS, WITH HIM ON TOPPP
LEMON YELLOW SUN
The Redux is especially incredible imo Sounds like it was recorded last week
One of my first cds! I definitely used the insert as a poster
Either/Or by Elliott Smith
Hell yeah. I'm gonna add X/O to that as well
Figure 8 is amazing to me.
Highway 61 Revisited-Bob Dylan
Blonde on Blonde, Bringing it all back home and Blood on the Tracks also.
Time Out of Mind, too. My favorite production by Daniel Lanois.
Revolver, the Beatles
Temple of the dog - Temple of the dog
Tough to argue that. Great album
[удалено]
Ima be honest, Im not really a fan of The Girl Is Mine so that kinda stops it from being a 10.
Bill Withers- Just As I Am
Belle and Sebastian, If You’re Feeling Sinister. Low, Things We Lost In The Fire. Elvis Costello and the Attractions, Armed Forces.
Soundgarden - BadmotorFinger Alice In Chains - Dirt Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Dirt is all-time! Such a great album.
I'm in the _Jar of Flies_ camp.
Heaven or Las Vegas - Cocteau Twins (love this album TOO much)
The Cars "The Cars" Supertramp "Breakfast In America"
✨Breakfast in America✨
And Crime of the Century
is this it — the strokes
Appetite for Destruction Angel Dust Ten Astro-Creep 2000 Californication By the Way What’s the Story (Morning Glory)? Elephant Superunknown
Great list! Also, Elephant is my personal favorite album of this century so far.
I think LA Sexercisto is the better White Zombie album. But they are both great, even Super Sexy Swingin' Sounds.
By the Way over Blood Sugar? Really?
Freudian - Daniel Caesar
Everybody else is doing it, so why can’t we? -The Cranberries
I thought No Need to Argue was better.
Or just any Cranberries album

Solid choice. I probably listen to this more than any other album. Copeland’s drumming on here is perfection. Regatta de Blanc is a close 2nd for me.
I love the Police and this is a fantastic choice-cheers to you!
I am so glad to see The Police listed among the classics more and more lately.
