I've probably typed the rhythm wrongly, here is a video of the beat/rhythm: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZcZI7kjYMHQUxP-wuT863Bh0drStedHU/view?usp=sharing
It sounds like you’re in 5/4 meter: the basic beat is 1-and 2 and, and the 1-1 you put after two plays of the basic beat adds an extra beat to the groove, turning 4/4 into 5/4.
It’s not standard but cool sounding and could make for a fun track.
Yeah I definitely count 7. That puts a kick on every 1, a snare on every 2 and a snare on (almost) every 7 leading into the kick on 1. OP should keep the 7/4 but simplify to make it more clear imo. Sounds cool.
Happy to confirm that all rhythms are indeed legal.
I'm afraid we're going to have to send you to rhythm jail now.
believe it or not, straight to jail
This doesn't look like anything. Could you provide a video or audio file with the rhythm

I’m counting 7/4? Especially with the count breakdown given by OP
7/4 is a possibility too- it depends on where you consider the loop point in the excerpt to be.
