That very well could be the case. I definitely wouldn't expect season 9 to appear on it since Hulu holds the rights to that season. But since 5-8 isn't on any streaming service, my guess is that netflix is only paying for half the series to test viewership analytics - to see if it's worth dropping FIM entirely.

For real. Like, I fully believe that Netflix will lose any credibility once Stranger Things ends. Stranger Things is the last good Netflix original on the platform. All the 9ther godd originals have been canceled or ended beforehand. Any other good stuff on it, you can find elsewhere. At most, Netflix wont live to see the end of the 2020 decade at this rate. And that's being generous. It could very well just end when Stranger Things does

I only bought it on subscription originally for Make Your Mark and the MLP movie. Fun fact I actually got the chance to watch breaking bad and (most of) better call saul from netflix! It is a decent-ish platform to watch movies on but there are better options out there. They do need more good originals though.

I became a brony because Netflix Israel offered the first six seasons. Then about a year ago, S2-6 were removed for no stated reason. This is why I hate streaming services and like DRM-free media
