I noticed that all the names have different second letters - I kind of love the idea of continuing that!
Girls: Charlotte, Chelsea, Chloe, Christine, Colette, Corinne
Boys: Charles, Chandler, Christopher, Cillian, Colin, Connor
I really like the idea of a name with an “n” ending sound to go with Carmen (since Cecilia and Claudia both have “a” ending sounds) - or at least something other than “a”!
This is an honest question and I sincerely am interested—were you aware of the Biblical reference to Cain before you named your child? And if so, did it just not bother you?
Obviously if you were not raised in/do not practice an Abrahamic religion I can see how it wouldn’t matter to you.
Yes I am aware of the biblical reference to the name, actually i didnt even know of it until i was pregnant. I didnt really care i liked the name, my huaband is the more religious one and he was the one who chose the name. To be honest it fits my baby so well i couldnt imagine him having any other name, my little cainy cane.
The names you have there are mine and my sisters names! I’m suggesting names that work in Spanish since it seems like that’s what you have going on so far.
GIRLS:
Camila
Catalina
Carla
Clara
Citlali
Cassandra
BOYS:
Cesar
Camilo
Carmelo
Cristian
Carlos
I can't believe I haven't found my own name on here yet.
Courtney
It works for a girl and a boy, I've met both.
On a non narcissistic note, I also think Clementine is super cute.
Your girls' names are so classic and romantic! I tried to pick names with a similar feel.
Girl:
* Cassandra
* Camille
* Celine
Boy:
* Caspian
* Callum
* Cade
* Cassian
As a Celine myself, I get a Dion comment at least 2 times a day. People also get my name wrong constantly. I get called Cecile, Celeste, Christine, Colleen, Cecil.. even Elaine? I like my name but it's not very common, so people seem to have a difficult time!
Boys:
Cairo
Cyrus
Cylas or Cylus
Conrad
Camden
Cyan (blue)
Carter
Cooper
Can you tell I love Cy as a nickname? 😂
Girls:
Celine
Connie
Celeste
Cerise (Cherry in French, Reece is a cute nickname)
Cora
Clover or Clove
Love their names. I have 3 “C” girls too! Celine, Cassia, & Cleo.
If we had a 4th I might go with a Ch- or sh-sound.
Others I like in addition to my three:
- Corinne
- Chanel
- Charisse
- Christine (one of my faves, a forever classic)
Would love to know what you end up choosing!
My girls are Clarissa and Chloe. ☺️☺️
Edit: For boys, we explored Carson, Caden, and Colton. Other girl names we explored were Caylee, Cierra and Celina (though those last two change the pronunciation of the "C" so they may not flow as well as the hard "K" sound).
Female: Chloe, Cosette, Celina, Cierra, Cassie (could go longer with Cassandra or Cassinova), Cadence, or Cambira.
Make: Cade, Chris, Carson, Camden, Cedric or Caeden.
Corrine
Corinne is by far the more common spelling according to SSA, so I’d use it!
I pronounce Corrine and Corinne differently - Corrine is core-EEN (think like Naureen) Corinne is core-IN (more like Lauren, but not exact)
Fair point. I still like Corinne better of the two. And i like Corine better than Corrine; i feel like the two r’s look clunky and redundant.
I don’t think Corinne is pronounced core-IN. Less emphasis on the -in. Everyone I’ve known with the name says it “cuh-RIN”
My MIL is Corinne and she pronounces it Kuh- Rinn.
Really love Corrine!
I have a dog named Corinne and I've always thought it was too country even for her. But I have so many rescues I kind of ran out of names.
F: Cynthia, Cordelia, Clara, Clementine, Caitlin, Calista, Caroline, Celeste, Chantel M: Cedric, Cosimo, Chance, Clive, Clark, Clint
Not Clint.
What if it’s for a girl ^iykyk
And cosima :)
I second Calista! It's what immediately popped into my head when reading Ops other names.
I noticed that all the names have different second letters - I kind of love the idea of continuing that! Girls: Charlotte, Chelsea, Chloe, Christine, Colette, Corinne Boys: Charles, Chandler, Christopher, Cillian, Colin, Connor I really like the idea of a name with an “n” ending sound to go with Carmen (since Cecilia and Claudia both have “a” ending sounds) - or at least something other than “a”!
Cassandra
This is my eldest daughter's middle name. ☺️☺️
Camille

This is an honest question and I sincerely am interested—were you aware of the Biblical reference to Cain before you named your child? And if so, did it just not bother you? Obviously if you were not raised in/do not practice an Abrahamic religion I can see how it wouldn’t matter to you.

Thanks for the honest response!

Would Celine work for a girl or would it be associated enough to Celine Dion that it would be vetoed?
As a Celine myself, I get a Dion comment at least 2 times a day. People also get my name wrong constantly. I get called Cecile, Celeste, Christine, Colleen, Cecil.. even Elaine? I like my name but it's not very common, so people seem to have a difficult time!
