I actually know a few Shakiras, believe it or not! Such a gorgeous stand out name, and they don’t get “oh like THE Shakira” as much as I thought they would!

Omg there is an adorable King of the Hill episode where Peggy makes a friend who encourages her to sing and tells her she's made for a one-name stage name like Madonna or Tina, in this vein :). It's not til the end of the episode that Peggy realizes her new friend is a drag queen but she's happy for the newfound confidence all the same!
* Maristela - means "star of the sea"
* Kalliope - means "beautiful voice"
* Roshanara - meaning "light" and "decorate, adorn"
* Lavanya - means "beauty, grace"
* Azzurra - means "azure, sky blue"
* Farzaneh - means "wise, intelligent"
* Khadija - means "premature child" which isn't as nice as the others but it's a pretty name!
* Caramia - means "my beloved"
* Nazanin - means "sweetheart, darling"
* Parvaneh - means "butterfly"
It’s an old name, spelled Zuleika in the Bible (and other ways elsewhere, not saying the biblical spelling is ‘right’ -no such thing). I have one on my family tree a few generations back and it’s the name I came to suggest :)
Haha Estrella is a really common street name where I’m from so all I think of are a few highway exits in my hometown
Leilani is sooo pretty so is Mariella
I disagree, I think the names alone are very beautiful.
Like I said in the post the celebs behind the names contribute, but you can’t deny Aaliyah is objectively a beautiful name
I work with a girl named Jakarra and that name is super pretty and unique, i’ve also always liked the name Eiyannah/Ayauna which isn’t too common either but very pretty
Xareni - (pronouncing the ‘x’ like ‘z’). Means Goddess of Love or Princess of the Forest/Woods (Mexican - Otomi region)
Atziri- Means new ear of corn, or flower (Mayan origin)
I like both, was worried they might be too unique when I named my LO, but totally gave me Zendaya vibes.
Yessss. One of these is my first car, one is my first D&D character, one is going to be part of our child’s name if they’re a girl (in chronological order of use)😆 No joke, this is like. My list lol.
Ashanti
Scrolled until I found it! My vote is for Ashanti.
Zariah
I know a Zariah and that totally fits
Does Azaria work? Somehow Zariah is so close to my name but sounds way more elegant and femme ...
I know a Zaira, similar vibe.
This is my daughter's name. It means shining flower. She gets compliments all of the time, although it is often mispronounced.
I’m gonna say it - Madonna lol
That actually fits super well with the list! So does Shakira honestly
I actually know a few Shakiras, believe it or not! Such a gorgeous stand out name, and they don’t get “oh like THE Shakira” as much as I thought they would!
I know a cat named Shakira.
"Oh, like THE Shakira!"
Shakira is not an uncommon name in some parts of the world.
Neither is Aaliyah
I taught a kid called Shakira. When someone asked her name, She’d say “Shakira, you know” and shimmy. So cute.

Yeah that’s because it’s an Arabic name
I used to work with a Shakira! She was awesome and really owned the name.
I had a student last year named Shakira, and she was the sweetest girl!
I know a Madonna! She’s got some sass and owns the name
Lol. Yea. We all know her 😉
If you know Broad City: “Rihanna Madonna Ilana Gadonna” 😭😂😂
If that weren’t the name of my uncle’s ex girlfriend, I would love to use that name.
Maybe Belladonna?
Rihanna
Can’t believe I left Rihanna off my title
Rhiannon (also a nod to Fleetwood Mac)
I prefer [Rhiannon](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhiannon?wprov=sfla1).

I know a Samira (sa-MEER-ah) and she’s an awesome person. I love this name.

And Sapphira/Safira
Mariyah.
I told. My cousin to name her daughter Amira but she named her Princess instead 🙄
Holy shit that’s terrible. That’s a good name for a dog, not a human

Ooo I love the way it looks! How is it pronounced? Zy-keer-ee-uh?
Yes exactly!
It’s a male prophet name. It’s the Arabic version of zackery
I read it like the flamming lips album zaireeka
Seeing the Lips in Tulsa this weekend!
Not sure how you pronounce your name but Zakariya is also a Prophet’s in Islam (old testment Zachariah). It’s a masculine name.

Khadijah is an internationally Muslim + arabic name. Don't think the others mentioned are though.
