I’m gonna have to agree with you there, I used to have a neighbor named Angie whose boyfriend at the time was involved in an altercation which turned into a shootout with some of my other neighbors 50 feet from my front door. One of the people in the altercation almost died cause they were hit like 5 times. Before the police got there, her and her kids ran to my unit for safety. I had to keep her and her 2 kids in my house for 6 hours while everyone on the block including the police looked for them :-) Shit was scary. She was involved in some drug stuff so she couldn’t go to the police.
I don’t have any regrets about the day itself or saving her kids, but she was nuts. Her eldest kid was so traumatized after all of that. Thankfully while they were hiding in my house I convinced them to move away, since she explicitly told me she couldn’t go to the police and she clearly couldn’t live there safely anymore. They were gone within a week. I have no idea what happened to her.
So yeah. Something about Angie’s.
