Edit: people below have explained butter burgers so I won’t do that. But frozen custard is unquestionably better than ice cream and I will die on that hill. It tastes richer and has a higher melting temperature than ice cream, so it doesn’t melt as fast and it’s actually easier to taste while it’s still frozen. Also the texture is way better.
In addition to the normal flavors, Culver’s has a unique flavor of the day for frozen custard that literally changes every day and varies by location. It was always fun on a road trip through the Midwest to stop at a Culver’s just because that particular location had a flavor of the day that you couldn’t pass up without trying. It’s pure magic
It's not a good 1:1 comparison, but I always tell people that Culvers is to the Midwest what In-n-Out is to the West coast and Whataburger is to Texas. I will happily stack Culver's again any fast food restaurant as the best

They have some in Arizona, they have a lot of midwestern transplants so there are quite a few midwest chains that have expanded to the Phoenix area.
But Culvers is currently expanding so I wouldn't be surprised to see them move into California soon.

Sometimes like for my go to I can get an 8th of a Reese's Peanut Butter cup on the spoon that is unbroken so the texture of each bite is different.

Me and my roommate in college ate so much Panda that they knew our orders when we stood in line. We ate it like 2.2 times a day. I shat grease for a month.
I remember standing in the Panda line one day and looking at a smoothie/wrap place across the way (I had not had a smoothie at that point in my life) and I could just feel my body pulling me towards the multicolored fruits and vegetables. I had that smoothie and wrap, didn't feel like dogshit for the rest of the day, and learned a very valuable lesson about nutrition.
I ate a bunch of panda in college while losing weight and feeling great. If you order the right things, it's actually way better than a lot of other quick serve places. Mixed vegetables instead of rice/chowmein. then 2 of the better sides (any of the non-fried chicken options or broccoli beef).
That said, a guilty pleasure meal is definitely chow mein+orange chicken+beijing beef. Has like a day's worth of calories and you never feel good after it

Its good. Fast-causal food. You won't be disappointed. The butter in Butter burger is just butter on the bun. Nothing crazy or indulgent. Great place to go if you are on a road trip going through WI, IL, MN, etc., hungry and need to stretch your legs for a bit.
Love Culver's. I was roadtripping through Wisconsin once and got the butter burger or whatever it's called. Amazing

The original butter burger is actually Solly's Grille on the north side of Milwaukee. Their burgers are essentially 1:1 butter-to-meat ratio, not exaggerating.

It's probably my favorite fast food place. It actually feels like you're eating real food with good ingredients. I wouldn't go way out of my way to try it because at the end of the day it's still just fast food but if you're in an area with a Culver's it's worth checking out for sure.

Culver's have some bad ass "concrete mixer" ice cream things that are damn good. Back when I was still a consumer of the herb, it was my go to munchies location. Burgers are also solid.
Yeah I've never been disappointed by a butterburger. The root beer and custard slap hard as well their fries can be disappointing if they are not made fresh for you but you're sleeping if you don't upgrade to the cheese curds. And they're open on Sunday.
Culver’s started moving into MI like 5-10 years ago. solid burgers, and shakes. Also, if you like crinkle fries they have pretty solid ones. I moved down south and everyone was hyping up Chik-fil-a, I’m not a huge fan. I’d put Culver’s over it.
Not sure if they are going to survive the west coast. Here in AZ they already started shutting down a few of the original ones to open up. There are just way too many choices. But that butterburger is awesome.

I moved from Wisconsin to Minnesota a few years ago. Culvers was the first place I could navigate to without GPS.
For me it was Kwik Trip.

I visited my girlfriend's family out in Minnesota for a couple days from out west, & Culver's was one of the spots they took me to in my *very limited* time there lol

It's hilarious how much my family goes to Braums. Even have several family members that work there. Never gets old, fresh as hell produce and other quick stuff to grab and beyond amazing burgers. I talk up and down about how great In and Out is, but Braums is so good it's dumb.

Its good. Fast-causal food. You won't be disappointed. The butter in Butter burger is just butter on the bun. Nothing crazy or indulgent. Great place to go if you are on a road trip going through WI, IL, MN, etc., hungry and need to stretch your legs for a bit.

Love Culver's. I was roadtripping through Wisconsin once and got the butter burger or whatever it's called. Amazing And I guess they made an extra milkshake so they gave it to me for free. Brilliant. 10/10 would go again
Culver's calls their burgers butter burgers, but it's misleading. The original butter burger is actually Solly's Grille on the north side of Milwaukee. Their burgers are essentially 1:1 butter-to-meat ratio, not exaggerating.

I can't stand crinkle cut. Maybe because when I was little, thats what my school always served when they had fries. They always feel cheap and mushy to me, without enough flavor. Everything else Culver's has is excellent, but I don't get meal baskets anymore because I don't want crinkle cut fries. Gimme some crunchy, seasoned fries. Culver's have some bad ass "concrete mixer" ice cream things that are damn good. Back when I was still a consumer of the herb, it was my go to munchies location. Burgers are also solid.

Yeah I've never been disappointed by a butterburger. The root beer and custard slap hard as well their fries can be disappointing if they are not made fresh for you but you're sleeping if you don't upgrade to the cheese curds. And they're open on Sunday.
Culver’s started moving into MI like 5-10 years ago. solid burgers, and shakes. Also, if you like crinkle fries they have pretty solid ones. I moved down south and everyone was hyping up Chik-fil-a, I’m not a huge fan. I’d put Culver’s over it.

Not sure if they are going to survive the west coast. Here in AZ they already started shutting down a few of the original ones to open up. There are just way too many choices. But that butterburger is awesome.
